I swing through Manhattan as fast as possible and made my way to STARK tower, I look over and noticed the contraption that's built on top is starting to power up

Y/n: "Come on Y/n, Faster!" 

I web-zipped towards a water tower and launched myself higher into the air before dive-bombing to increase my speed before shooting another web to a building, decreasing the time and effort to reach STARK Tower.

Once the contraption was in my sights, I zipped myself to the top and perched on the side of the tallest point of the contraption. From there I was now looking down on Manhattan from this vantage point, and just below me, I had come face to face with the Lizard. I look over to the side to see Peter barely clinging on to his life.

Y/n: *thought* "Hang on, just a little longer Buddy"

Y/n: "Your Car insurance selling days are over, Geico!"

Lizard: *hiss* "Spider-man..."

Y/n: "THis could only go one way, so why don't you just save us all the trouble and just surrender?"

Lizard: "I'm afraid not...My plan is so close to coming to fruition. And nothing is going to stop me from having my kingdom!" 

He then whipped its head towards Peter and hissed an order at him.

Lizard: "Begin the Inator!"

Peter: "Yeah...about that"

Peter opened a hatch that's on his contraption and began sabotaging it, pulling out wires and destroying the Arduino's. This enrages the Lizard, causing him to whip its tail and send Peter off the roof. 

Acting quickly, I pushed myself off of my perch and dived after Peter. I manage to grab him and swing back up top, I laid him down near the entrance to a penthouse before turning back to the lizard who is taking a container filled with green fluid. I look back over at Peter to see if he'll be alright and gave me an encouraging smile.

Peter: "Go get 'em, Spider-man"

I nod towards Peter and swing off towards The Lizard. When he got the container out of the contraption, I quickly pulled it off of its hands and tossed it towards the top of an antenna, and webbed it out of its reach before landing behind the reptile.

We then began our staredown, we circled each other as I began looking at any possible spots that I should prioritize. 

Y/n: "Can't seem to do it the easy way now, can't you?"

Lizard: "Pesky little humans, soon you will realize the mercy I would've given you under my rule"

Y/n: "No-one is going under who's rule. Because like I said, there's only one way this will end. And it's with me winning this fight!"

Lizard: "We'll see about that, *hiss* Spider-man"

[3rd POV]

Y/n and the Lizard then stopped and proceeded to their stances, Y/n went into a 3-point stance as the Lizard seems to prepare to pounce on me. He let out a battle cry and ran towards his opponent, The Lizard hurls itself towards Y/n but manages to slide under the attack and teleport away.

Confused, The Lizard began looking around, scouring Y/n's position. Only for him to reappear above him and send out a kick towards its jaw just as it looked towards him. The Lizard tried to swipe at Y/n, only for him to slide under his attack before pushing himself off and punching the Lizard at the back of the head.

As Y/n was in mid-air, The Lizard tried grabbing Y/n, only for him to shoot a web at the top of the contraption and use it to swing towards the Lizard and kick him in the chin. Once the Lizard was down, Y/n began wrapping the Lizard with his webs.

The Lizard quickly retaliated by using its tail to grab Y/n's foot and hurl him to the side, hitting his back on the Contraption, disattaching a side panel, and exposing another set of wires and a mainframe.

The Lizard freed itself from Y/n's web and crawled up to the antenna just as Y/n started to push himself to his feet. The Lizard peeled off the web and crawled its way to the top of the Inator where he stands before a small control panel, The Lizard began pressing a few times on the screen before a cylinder slot opened to the side of the panel.

The Lizard places the container inside the slot before closing it and grabbing the trigger that is right next to it. When Y/n was finally up to his feet, he zipped himself towards the top and manage to kick away The Lizard before it manages to press the button on the trigger.

Y/n then began throwing punches at The Lizard, teleporting away and attacking from another angle before dealing an ax kick, sending the Lizard back down to the ground. Y/n teleported one more time as the Lizard quickly went back up to his feet and raises his guard.

When Y/n teleports behind the Lizard and was about to deal a left hook, The Lizard swiftly turns around and grabs Y/n by the throat, but Y/n quickly shifts his momentum and throws the Lizard over his shoulder before teleporting above the Lizard and web zipped downwards to its stomach. Knocking the air out of it.

Y/n: "Give up, it's over!"

Lizard: *hoarse chuckle* "You'd like that don't you?"

The Lizard then held up the trigger, shocking Y/n. But before he could yank it off its hands. The Lizard presses the button and triggered the invention to power on. 

Announcement: "Initiating Start-up sequence: T-minus, 5 minutes"

Y/n: "No!"

(~!!!!!!!!!!~)

Turning his back to The Lizard, it seizes its opportunity to swipe at Y/n. With his Spider-sense able to warn him just in time, Y/n cart-wheels away, barely managing to get scratched by its poison coated claws. The Lizard swiped one more time, with Y/n back-flipping away before sending a knee towards The Lizard's chin.

He then quickly sent a web towards the control panel and zipped towards it, but The Lizard hurriedly recovers and intercepts Y/n in the air. pushing him away as they both topple into the penthouse of STARK Tower.

Lizard: "Now with my invention up and running, there is NOTHING you could do to stop it!"

Y/n: *thought* "I need to end this quickly if I'll have any chance to stop that machine"

The two then circled around the penthouse, before The Lizard wasted no time and pounced towards Y/n. He quickly jumped over the Lizard, leading it to only destroy a coffee table and one of the leather couches. 

Y/n leaped towards The Lizard to deliver a strong Haymaker, only for it to swing around and tail whips him away and into a cabinet full of Liquor. This ruckus quickly alerts the A.I that is running the Penthouse, The A.I uses the Penthouse cameras to survey around and spots Y/n tattered up while leaning on the broken cabinet that once hold the Liquor.

It then made its presence known, confusing Y/n but was too occupied by The Lizard hurling half of the broken coffee table at him.

A.I: "Alert! You seem to be trespassing on the Property of Mr. Stark. Are you perhaps one of his business partners or unannounced guests?"

Y/n: "A little busy at the moment!"

Y/n ducked out of the bar area and into open space just in time to dodge The Lizard who flew over him.

Announcement: "T-minus, 3 minutes!"

The Lizard lifts the entire bar and chucks it towards Y/n, he ducks underneath it causing the ruble to fly past him and breaking the rest of the glass windows.

A.I: "Sir, with this amount of property damage, I'm afraid I'll have to call the police"

Y/n: "Please, Do! How long does it take for them to notice a giant Lizard above STARK Tower working on a suspicious contraption!"

Distracted by the A.I, The Lizard manages to grab Y/n by the throat once again before brandishing its claws. Y/n then notices a ceiling fan just above them and attaches a web to The Lizard's arm that was choking him before connecting it to the ceiling fan.

The fan quickly detaches from the ceiling but it manages to pull The Lizard's arm just enough for Y/n to get free from his hold and uppercut kick him away before webbing its face to keep itself distracted.

Announcement: "T-minus, 2 minutes"

Y/n: "Quick, make yourself useful. How do I stop this LIzard creature?"

The A.I then did a quick scan at Y/n's opponent and quickly deduces a plan.

A.I: "It seems the reptile belongs to the cold-blooded type of Lizards. If you could get it to sub-zero temperatures, it would freeze over and weaken him giving you a chance to neutralize it"

Y/n: "Alright, and how can I do that?" 

A compartment then appeared just behind The Lizard, it was a fire-extinguisher type of dispenser in all black instead of its usual red.

A.I: "Mr. Stark has used this extinguishing agent when creating his armor, you might be able to use it against your foe"

Y/n: "Thanks"

Once The Lizard tore the web off its face, It lunges forward, both arms outstretched, trying to grab and subdue Y/n. He manages to flip over its attack, webbing its arms together before tugging it with him, leaving the Lizard no choice but to follow Y/n before getting webbed to the ground. Y/n dealt an ax kick down towards its head for good measure before going over to the extinguisher and pointing the hose towards The Lizard.

Y/n: "Alright you lizard freak, Time to chill out!"

Y/n then began spraying The Lizard with the extinguisher, the cooling agent inside immediately began freezing The Lizard as it breaks free from Y/n's webs and held its hand forward to no avail. Once Y/n was sure The Lizard was frozen solid, Y/n used the extinguisher and smashed The Lizard into pieces.

Y/n: "Phew! I thought that thing would never give up"

A.I: "There appears to be one more signature just outside the Penthouse, he appears to be losing vitals rapidly"

Y/n: "oh shit, Peter!"

Y/n hurriedly dropped the extinguisher to the ground and ran towards his dying friend.

A.I: "I will alert emergency services immediately"

Y/n slid to Peter and lays him in his arms and check up on him, he placed two fingers on his neck and felt his heartbeat slowing down. Peter coughs violently in his hand, his palm getting more bloody before looking over at Y/n with weak eyes.

Peter: "I guess this is the end for me"

Y/n: "No, No, You're gonna be okay, it's gonna be fine"

Announcement: "T-minus, 1 minute!"

Y/n: "Goddamnit, Shut up!"

Peter: *dry chuckle* "You never really seem to fail in lightening up the mood aren't you?"

Announcement: "T-minus, 50 seconds!"

Y/n feels for the compartment on his waist and pulls out one of the vials, coincidently pulling out the glowing vial.

Announcement: "T-minus, 40 seconds!"

Y/n: "Alright, we don't have much time. Here drink this"

Peter: "No...use it to save the city, that machine is gonna start any time soon and only you can stop it"

Announcement: "T-minus, 30 seconds!"

Peter: "Besides, *cough* I think I'm a lost cause anyways"

Y/n: "No, don't say that!"

Announcement: "T-minus, 20 seconds!"

Y/n: "Just drink the damn antidote and I can save the city. Two birds with one stone"

Peter: "At some point, you'll have to make a tough decision, this is one of them. But in the end, you know what you have to do, right?"

Y/n looks over to his best friend before looking over at the machine with a conflicted look. But that's when Y/n noticed the exposed mainframe and wires on the machine.

Y/n: "Hey, Robot man!"

A.I: "My name is J.A.R.V.I.S, Sir"

Y/n: "Fine, J.A.R.V.I.S How many volts do I need to shut down that machine?"

J.A.R.V.I.S: "You would need about 500 volts to initiate a system reset"

Y/n: "Just enough"

Announcement: "T-Minus, 10 seconds"

Peter: "What are you waiting for? Hurry before the whole city turns into-hmph!"

Y/n: "Can you stay quiet for a second? I'm already working on it"

Y/n shoved the glowing vial to Peter's mouth, forcing him to drink the liquid as Y/n configures his web-shooters to Taser webs and shoots them towards the exposed mainframe, causing the machine to malfunction. 

Announcement: "Alert! System Failure, beginning reboot"

Y/n: "Listen up, Peter, and listen good. I'm gonna be better than any heroes that we watch in movies. Because when given the option to choose to save one over the other, you know what I'll choose?"

Peter: "What?"

Y/n: "I'll choose to save both. I'll push myself further if I have to"

Peter was in shock, feeling Y/n's resolve and determination he was then at ease. Knowing that he had made his decision clear.

Peter: "I guess, there's no stopping you now. Isn't there?"

Y/n: "Nope!"

Y/n then jumped up to the control panel just as it finishes its reboot.

Announcement: "System reboot, accomplished. Resetting launch countdown. T-minus 20 seconds"

Y/n then accessed the control panel and opened the cylinder slot and revealed the container with the green liquid. Y/n pulled out the other vial in his compartment and adds it to the contents of the container, but he found that nothing changed in its compound.

Y/n then remembers getting cut during one of his antidote processes as the announcement reminds him of his remaining time.

Announcement: "T-minus, 10 seconds!"

Now against the clock, Y/n decided to pull off his glove and lift his mask just over his nose, and bit down on his hand hard, causing blood to flow through his bite. Y/n then adds his blood to the green liquid. 

He then saw the contents start to glow before turning blue just in time for the machine's countdown to finish. The cylinder slot then closed as the machine began dispensing the contents of the container into the air. When Y/n took in the air, it felt clearer than usual, seeing a job well done, he puts his glove back on and mask back down before vaulting off the railing just in time as the paramedics arrived at the Penthouse.

Y/n helped the Medics get Peter onto their stretcher and began wheeling him into the elevator.

Peter: "Looks like you saved me and the city. You really are Amazing Y/n"

Y/n: "I'd like to think of myself as Interdimensional, but Amazing sounds good too"

Peter then let out a scoff before the elevator closed, Y/n then stepped out of the Penthouse and watch as Manhattan was safe once again thanks to his efforts, letting out a sigh of relief before swinging away. 

Y/n: "Ah crap, Where am I gonna crash tonight? Eh, I'm sure Aunt May wouldn't mind"

[Timeskip] (Y/n POV)

Reporter: "In other news, A massive construction happened atop STARK Tower, owned by the Genius Billionaire himself, has purified the pollution in the air here in Manhattan. Reports also stated that witnesses have said to have spotted a ginormous humanoid Lizard crawling on top of the machine, but its actions were thwarted in the end by Spider-man"

It's been a week since my previous encounter with the Lizard, I had turned off my phone after watching a replay of a news report of my feats. The door to the room then opened slightly enough for Peter to peek through the door.

Peter: "I'm ready to go"

Y/n: "You sure you're gonna be okay with this? You just left the hospital after all"

Peter: "I'm sure it'll be fine, I mean it's just interdimensional travel. What's the worse that could happen"

Y/n: "Fine, You're the boss" 

I then went over to the desk and wore my Dimension Hopper and went behind Peter to place my hand over his neck.

Peter: "Oh man this is gonna be so cool!"

Y/n: "Take it easy now, Morty. We're still in our room"

Once we were both settled, I pressed the button and teleport to another dimension. Once we arrived at our destination, I let go of Peter's nape as he hunched over nauseated.

Peter: "Oh...I think I'm gonna puke"

Y/n: "Yeah, well don't. Wouldn't want to disrespect your own grave" 

We then took a look around to see that we were in a cemetery, Peter looked at me confused before I gestured for him to look down. When he did, he noticed he was standing in front of a tombstone for a grave, or more specifically. HIS grave

Y/n: "You know, this is my first time coming here"

Peter: "I-wha-tha-That's M-me?"

Y/n: "Yep, and look there I am, right next to you"

Peter: "I-I don't understand. How did I die? What happened to me, Y/n?"

Y/n: *sigh* "You remember the Lizard formula that you made?"

Peter: "Yeah, what about it?"

Y/n: "Well, in this dimension. You made the same formula and decided to inject yourself with it, in hopes to have special powers of your own, but it only turn you into a Lizard and in the end...caused your demise"

Peter was shocked at the revelation, causing him to be saddened by the prospect. I then pat him on the shoulder and look over our graves.

Peter: "So in the end, I couldn't ever be special. I'll just forever be a scrawny and nerdy kid that gets picked on"

Y/n: "Who's to say you aren't special?"

Peter then looked at me confused as I look at the grave in admiration.

Y/n: "You had made a formula that could give someone the power of a Lizard, and Lizards can rapidly grow back their limbs. So to be frank, you made a breakthrough"

Peter: "But you see what that needs up. It failed, this alone shows that"

Y/n: "Hey, who says science is only a one and done? If that were the case then we wouldn't make any discoveries, and besides what's a little trial and error amirite?"

Peter: *chuckle* "I guess you're right"

Y/n: *sigh* "And to be perfectly honest, you'd be a much better Spider-man than I could've ever been"

Peter: "huh? No way, dude! You're strong, fearless, you could always stand up to those bad guys!"

Y/n: "But it didn't start out that way, didn't it? When I first got these powers I thought of them as a burden, that I couldn't be bothered to help anyone because it was none of my concern. But did you know who led me to the right path? It was you"

Peter: "Me?"

Y/n: "Yeah! I couldn't be the Spider-man that I am today without you. So I deserve as much of the credit as I do"

We then went for a bro hug before looking at each other's graves one last time.

Y/n: "You know, this almost kinda resembles the two of us"

Peter: "Really? How come?"

Y/n: "Well, for starters; We're always together, and that no matter the situation we'll always have each other's backs. Alive or Dead, you feel me?"

Peter: "Huh, you really run your imagination wild sometimes"

Y/n: *shrug* "Part of who I am, I guess"

Peter: "I just wish I could be of use somehow, to be like you"

Y/n: "...Actually, I think I know a way how!"

Peter and I then looked at each other, he eyed me in confusion as I look back in excitement.

Peter: "Okay, I'll bite. How could be like you?"

Y/n: "Think about it, every superhero has someone watching their back right? Like a guy in the hero's intercom helping out the hero whenever he can"

Peter: "Like a guy in the chair!?"

Y/n: "Yes, exactly like a guy in the chair! You could be that guy in the chair"

Peter: *scoff* "I thought you didn't believe in superhero movies?"

Y/n: "Well I could throw my beliefs aside if it means I could have an awesome guy in the chair! So, whadda ya say? Wanna be the Guy in the Chair"

Peter: "...Oh what the hell, I'm in!"

Y/n: "Alright! My man"

We then celebrated with a handshake before walking out of the cemetery.

Y/n: "What do you say we walk around this new dimension for a bit. We still got time"

Peter: "Sure, oh by the way. Are your parents perhaps alive, here in this dimension"

Y/n: "Yep, Alive and well"

Peter: "Wanna go visit them?"

Y/n: "Nah...I think I left a big impression for them to remember me by"

[3rd POV]

After Y/n had left the L/n residence, D/n hangs around his lab in the garage, reminiscing the short time he had a Father-son moment with Y/n. A tear trickles down his cheek and immediately wipes it away just as M/n walks to his side.

Mrs. L/n: "You miss him too, Honey"

Mr. L/n: "Yeah...Even it was just a few days, I'd wish for it be happen again just to be one happy family again"

Mrs. L/n: "But we did see what he'll be when he's a fine young man, and that alone is good enough for me"

Mr. L/n: "I guess your right. I think it's good enough for me too"

He then pulled down the garage doors and was immediately met with one of Y/n's art. This time it was a replicated portrait of one of their family photo's, It Has Mr. and Mrs. L/n hoisting Y/n up as he hold onto a trophy after winning a science fair with a caption.

"To the Greatest Parents, Thank you for making the man I am today"

The couple then started tearing up before hugging each other as they cried happily, in front of a memento that they will cherish for as long as they live.

And we're finally done! I made it before the new year deadline, This has been an amazing original arc journey and I'd like to thank everyone who stuck around till the end. 

I hope a final fight scene is enough to compensate for the lack of fight scenes these past few chapters.

Meanwhile at STARK Tower, the elevator dinged, signifying that they had reached the penthouse floor. The elevator doors opened and a man in a business suit, with a goatee and well combed hair, walked out to find that the place is in shambles. The bar table is reduced to rubble, the expensive leather couch was torn to pieces and his assortment of alcohol on the floor along with their shattered bottles. 

Man: "Honestly, I leave you alone for a few weeks and this is what I come back to?"

J.A.R.V.I.S: "My apologies, sir. There has seems to be an unexpected guests drop by"

Man: "Well, they sure made one hell of a party up here. Welp, this is none of my concern. Have Dum-E clean this up will 'ya? I'll be at a Coachella"

J.A.R.V.I.S: "Of course, enjoy the rest of your day. Mr. Stark"
