After having a battle against Gary Oak that ended in a tie between Gary and Landon. Pamela and Landon were now walking through Route 1 making it there back to Viridian City.

"Hey Ladon how far ahead do you think Kendall is?" Pamela asked.

"Hm, who knows no matter what I'm letting him beat me," Landon stated."Besides doubt, he is that much farther ahead even if he got off the plane before us."

"Yeah guess you're right," Pamela replied.

Their attention was then drawn by a flapping sound and glanced to see a small, plump-bodied avian Pokemon with a brown and cream-colored face and its underside and flight feathers land on the ground.

"Look at that," Pamela said taking out her Pokedex and scanning the Pokemon.

[Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokemon. A normal/flying type. Among all the flying pokemon, it is the gentlest and easiest to capture. A perfect target for beginning pokemon trainers to test his or her pokemon skills. If attacked, it will often kick up sand to protect itself rather than fight back.] The Pokedex said.

"You know what I'm going to catch it," Pamela said holding up a Pokeball."Come on out Gossplash," She said sending out her starter pokemon.

"Go fo it, " Landon said."I'm going to find a different pokemon, " Labdon walking away."Let's meet up near that river on the map for a lunch break when we are both done, "He said.

"Got it," Pamela replied before beginning the battle with Pidgey.

Landon was walking with Saber by his side searching for a pokemon to capture.

"So far there is nothing," Landon commented.

"Bagon," Saber cried in agreement.

Landon and Saber paused in their tracks hearing a rustling in the bushes.

"Bag, " Saber cried out walking towards the bushes.

"Looks like we got something," Landon muttered as the bush rustled again.

Soon out of the bushes stepped out a small, mammalian, quadrupled pokemon with primarily brown fur. The tip of its bushy heart-shaped tail and its large fourth collar are cream-colored. It has short, slender legs with three small toes and a pink paw pad on each foot. It has brown eyes, long pointed ears with dark brown interiors and a small black nose.

Ah, Eevee I've seen those at home, " Landon said taking out his Pokedex.

[Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon. A normal type pokemon. Its genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from element stones.]

Landon put his pokedex away and glanced back at Eevee.

"Saber let's start things off with Ember!" Landon commanded.

"Bagon!" Saber cried out as he blasted Eevee with a flame from his mouth.

"Eevee!" Eevee cried out shaking off the attack before rushing towards Saber.

"Here comes Tackle, dodge then Bite," He ordered.

Saber jumped back avoiding the tackle before running forward and biting onto Eevee's tail.

"Eevee!" Eevee cried out in pain jumping up and swinging her tail and firing a blast of golden stars sending Saber flying back.

"Saber Ember!" Landon commend.

"Bagon!" Saber cried out recovering from the Swift attack and blasted Eevee with another Ember.

"Eevee," Eevee growled panting and kicking sand towards Saber.

"Now finish this with another Bite don't let Sand Attack stop you," Landon said.

"Bagon!" Saber cried out charging toward Eevee and landing a powerful Bite

"Pokeball go!" Landon said throwing a Pokeball at Eevee.

The female Eevee was sucked inside of the Pokeball. It shook four times until it clicked signaling the female Eevee was a successful capture.

"Alright Eevee been captured," He said walking over and picking up the Pokeball."What to nickname her that the question," He said putting the Pokeball containing his newly captured Pokemon on his belt.

"Bagon," Saber cried out happy about a new friend.

"Well let's go meet up with Pamela maybe eating lunch can help me think of a nickname, " Landon said. "Most trainers might not do nicknames but I feel it strengthens a trainer and pokemon bond," He said studying the map as he and Saber walked off to meet with Pamela.

Landon and Saber arrived near the river to find Pamela heading bowls of Pokemon food to her two bird pokemon.

"So catching Pidgey was a success," Landon said walking over towards her.

"Bag."

"Yes did you capture anything?" Pamela asked as Landon took his bag off and sat down.

"Yeah I caught a female Eevee, " He replied sending out Sage and his newly obtained Eevee.

"Eevee nice she so beautiful and fluffy," Pamela said smiling at Eevee.

"Eevee," Eevee said glancing at Pamela as Landon filled up a bowl of Pokemon for Eevee and his other Pokemon.

"Agree beautiful little Fluffles," Landon said."That it you be nicknamed Fluffles," He stated.

"Really would that suit her when she evolves?" Pamela asked.

"I believe that it will since I have a feeling that to evolve her into, but we see, " Landon replied as he made some sandwiches for lunch.

"Well if you are sure what eeveeloutions are in Kanto," Pamela said studying her Pokedex."I know our region has a new dragon type and bug," She stated.

"I can always get one of those when we travel through the home if I get another Eevee," Landon said heading to a plate of three sandwiches for Pamela.

"True looks like Joteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon are known in Kanto," Pamela replied before eating one of her sandwiches.

Landon nodded.

"Well to decide now on the evolution," Landon said.

"Agree. "

Landon and Pamela then continued the rest of their lunch in soothing silence, before they cleaned up everything and went back to making the journey to Viridian City to get viridain forest so they set the path for pewter city.
