Staying with Matt and his family has been my best decision ever. Over the past few weeks, I have gotten to know Matt better and our relationship is rock solid now, I couldn't ever imagine leaving him. The Green family has made me feel welcome and like a true part of their family, I still feel guilty for only opening up to Matt and his mom. Matt's been taking things slowly and somewhat cautiously after I told him all the horrible things that happened to me in the past. Amy sort of guessed my history after seeing my scars the first day I was here, and my explanation for them was way overdue.

None of Matt's siblings know the full truth, they have seen the visible damage done by the Harrisons. I still get a chill up my spine and look over my shoulder now and then, thinking that all my newfound happiness will be taken from me at any second.

Hearing the clicking of the camera that Matt gifted me, I snap out of my thoughts. Amy asked if I could take some new portraits of her, I think she's secretly signing up for some dating app. She's a great model and poses beautifully for the camera.

Amy walks over and looks at the pictures I took of her, "What do you think?"

"Wow! Tessa, these are amazing. Thank you."

I try to smile, but it doesn't reach my eyes. "You're welcome."

She frowns. "What's the matter?"

"I've been thinking...of telling the rest of the family about what happened to me. But I don't know if I should or how they would react. What do you think? They're your kids, you know them better than I do."

"I think you should start by talking with Elizabeth first, she's the more understanding of the three. Plus, you two seem close." Amy looks past me and smiles, "Speak of the devil."

I turn around and see Elizabeth riding a horse, wearing her usual cowgirl getup. "Howdy." She gets off her horse and walks over to us.

"How was the new trail?" Amy asks.

"It's gorgeous, maybe a certain couple could go riding there sometime. It's a pretty romantic spot." Liz teases and nudges my shoulder.

I sigh, "Maybe."

"What's wrong?"

Looking over Amy, she smiles and I nod in response. "I have something to tell you."

"And this is where I leave." Amy leaves and goes over to the stables, taking Liz's horse with her.

Elizabeth crosses her arms. "What did Matt do? Are you pregnant?"

"What? No!" I haven't even been with him that long.

"Okay, then. What is it?"

Looking around, I notice that Jackson and Asher are near us. I'm not ready to share with them just yet. "Let's go inside first."

We go into the house and sit down at the kitchen table. "This must be serious then," Liz whispers. "Is it about them?"

"Yes."

She leans forward. "Tell me everything."
