Background : Even before Abigail was lost in the portal, Abby was ignored most of the time by her dad and sister. If her mom hadn't died soon after Abby was born, the two would have been close. Abby decided to take up multiple hobbies to try to impress her father; none of the hobbies outwardly impressed her dad. Inside, however, Callaghan was impressed at Abby's talent. But he still blames Abby for her mother's death. Abby met Hiro and his friends when they went to the robot exhibit, later joining them to fight crime. Recently, her dad has actually started to take interest in his daughter inventions, giving Abby false hope that maybe they can be closer than they have been before....
