I took Anisha with me since I was way too afraid to go to his house alone. Not like I was scared of him or something, it was just that I wasn't ready yet. We decided to take an auto rickshaw that day.

I called him multiple times for the address before we finally reached. He was standing outside the gate. He waved the minute I got down from the rickshaw and he was smiling. God that smile sure does something to me I thought.

I waved back and walked towards him and Anisha followed.

"Hai Adolf. I'm glad you came" he said

"Had to. After all you invited." We were still talking when Anisha moved a little further towards the gate and was removing her shoes.

"So you are Riya?" Someone spoke and both me and Rahul stopped talking and looked behind.

"No. Ummm I'm Anisha." Anisha replied to an aunty. And by then Rahul walked towards her and said pointing towards me "Mumma that's Riya. This is her friend."

His mother smiled and I thought he got his smile from her. I went and joined them too and she humbly welcomed us.

Once we entered, Rahul gestured at the sofa and said "sit ya Adolf. Anisha you too." And we sat. "That's my sister, Ananya. Remember I told you about her?" He said pointing towards his sister.

His sister was very beautiful. And we had spoken about her when I'd asked him if he had any siblings. She had completed her MBA and was now working.

"Hello" I said as I smiled at her.

"Hello Riya. I've heard so much about you" she said and I couldn't help but blush.

"I've heard a lot about you too." I replied and she smiled.

"So you both met during a fest?"

"Yes. Our college's annual fest." I looked at Rahul and he nodded his head and smiled again. Gosh! He shouldn't be smiling every now and then. I might faint I thought.

His sister was trying her best to make me feel comfortable. She asked us about college life and exams. Every time she spoke Rahul would smile and I wondered why!

We ate lunch together with Rahul and his family. Later he insisted on dropping us. And we agreed gladly.

The drive was quiet and awkward. Anisha was busy clicking selfies.

He stopped near a roadside pani puri stall. "Adolf wanna eat?" He asked.

I turned towards Anisha who was already opening the car door. I looked back at Rahul who was grinning. I nodded.

Anisha was already out of the car. I told him I enjoyed and thanked him for inviting me.

"Stop being so formal Adolf." He said and both of us got down when Anisha impatiently shouted our names.

"Are you sure you will eat? It's roadside." He asked. I had once told him about how hygiene matters to me and was glad he remembered.

"Of course I will! Never say no to pani puri. My stomach is full because of the amazing mouth watering dishes your mother served us. But I'm still hungry for pani puri." He laughed.

"Give me a minute I'll be back. And start eating." He said and walked towards the car again.

He came back with a rectangular shaped thing wrapped in glittery paper, probably a gift.
"And this is your new year's gift Adolf. Thank you for helping me with Akash's birthday." He said holding out a gift.

"Thank you. But you really didn't have to..." he cut me off saying "just keep it. Never say no to me" and winked.

I was about to open and he said "Open it once you reach home."
I kept it inside my bag and Anisha winked at me.

I couldn't wait to reach home.
