Part 1
*Not too gory descriptions
A week later:
Y/N drives his car out to a parking lot next to the Sweetwater River. Having finally waited the necessary amount of time, he'll be able to be rid of Jason Blossom and begin his plan to enact a 'curse' on Riverdale. At least, that's how he likes to put it.
Not planning to waste anytime, he parks the car, opens the trunk, and pulls out the unconscious Jason out and drag him to the river's edge. Yes, he's alive, Y/N needs to throw the police off the track for only a little while since this is only the beginning.
Jason won't be the only one. It's not just the rotten teens that need to be purged from this town, but more importantly, the crooked adults who think they control the youth. He has his fall guys, he just has to come up with a way to reveal the Blossom family's true colors and everything else will go as he planned.
He's going to get his revenge on the entire Blossom family for what they've done.
Problematically, when he caught Jason's plan to leave, it created a time crunch that made Y/N have to act fast before he lost him. So, he'll have to find a way to involve himself in the investigation and play it to his interests. Thankfully, he's a genius, he'll always have a plan. He might even play it like a game.... a little life and death game. It's how he interacts with the world, since it might be possible Y/N never really knew how to by 'normal' standards.
Y/N, wearing his custom Ghostface costume without the mask, hears a groan and sees that Jason is stirring up. He waits patiently, the kid's eyes blink a couple times, but eventually he his vision restores and sees the face staring down at him, and his eyes show nothing but fear.
"Hello, Jason." Y/N says to him calmly. Jason tries to speak or scream, but the tape muffles his voice, and Y/N then pulls out his knife, bringing it up to his lips. "Shh....I have good news for you."
Y/N sees that Jason is listening, so he begins his monologue. "You see, our time is now up, I set you free. The reason I've been able to keep you for so long is because I've been able to convince your dear sister that you're 'safe and sound' see?" He pulls out a little device, the voice changer he used to disguise his voice.
He presses a button on it and brings it up to his lips. "Hey Cheryl, I'm letting you know I made it and I'm safe." The voice of Jason himself emits from it, and the brother's eyes go wide, realizing what's happening, and Y/N smirks proudly at him. "I know, nice trick. My dad's an tech wiz, taught me a thing or two, and modern technology has given me a way to collect voice samples, and storing them into this tiny thing, yours being the first."
"Now, they'll find your body, like Pamela Voorhees found his dear sweat boy Jason in crystal lake, and she'll realize you weren't in fact, safe." Y/N states, looking him the eye. "It's the beginning of a brand, new show.... my show." He concludes, walking back to his car to fetch something. Jason struggles against the tape, praying that it breaks, and he can escape, but thanks to Y/N's torture and keeping him kidnapped for a week, his strength has diminished.
"Found something." Y/N returns, much to Jason's despair. He reveals a gun in his hand and before the brother could expect it, his brains are blown out from the shot, creating a small hole in the middle of his forehead as well as a little brain matter which stains it.
With that done, Y/N removes the tape, and drops his body down into the river, letting it go along the shore, waiting to be washed up somewhere else and be discovered.
Now, it begins.

Months later:
Surprisingly for Y/N, Jason's body was never found throughout the rest of summer vacation. He decided it was best to wait until that day occurs for him to make any kind of move. In the meantime, he's worked on himself physically. Cardio, physical strength, agility, and he's also stored a couple more voice samples for his voice changer. With this and his other tricks, he won't be worried about needing a partner like Billy Loomis and Stu Macher from Scream 1.
In between all of those things, he's obviously still been watching the latest horror movie or something from the past. His 'family' has also suggested some activates from time the time and he has humored them when he feels like it, but they're not the biggest thing on his mind right now.
Now he's at the Pop's, currently reconnecting with the friends he made last year, Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews, and he's learned that the former has developed feelings for the latter.
"So, what was the highlight for you guys?" Archie asks the girl sitting in front, and the boy sitting next to him.
"Of my internship? The Toni Morrison book release party he organized by far." Betty replies. "At the end of the night, Tony Morrison who has, as you guys know, my literary hero says to me, 'don't wish this time Betty, it goes by so fast at your age. One summer can change everything.' "
"Wow, that's... so true." Archie agrees, looking to Y/N next.
"Oh, it's definitely when I was assigned to make that short film in video production and my own teacher...." Y/N draws out, trying to find words to describe it. "He made me feel like I created a masterpiece, you know?"
"Nice, if you can, you should show me it." Archie requests, giving a proud punch to Y/N's shoulder.
"For sure, it's gonna blow your mind." Y/N boasts, doing the gesture. "How was working for your dad?"
"It was... pouring concrete. Every day, all day long." Archie answers, sounding like it was the busiest time of his life. Betty nods, showing that she's listening, which makes Y/N mentally chuckle. "To pass time, I would start composing these poems in my head and I go home, I write them down."
"You don't even like reading poetry." Betty mentions with an eyebrow.
"No they weren't poems, they were song lyrics." Archie specifies. "And working on them made me feel like..." He pauses for a few seconds.
"What, Archie?"
"It made me feel like, I finally broke through to something real." Archie says. Y/N nods, and then he notices Betty looking intently at him, things couldn't be more obvious even if you were blindfolded. "About my life, and what I should be trying to do with it. Music! Starting this year, tomorrow." He states, excited.
"Amazing." Betty comments with a smile. "Would you ask Miss Grundy to tutor you?"
Archie swallows, the name making him a little uncertain. "I'm not sure, maybe."
"What about football, can you do both?"
"I'll try out at least."
"Well, have you told your dad?" Betty asks the third question in a matter of two seconds, Y/N is surprised at how much she can say when he was struggles to find at least one topic during casual talk.
"No. Until I've got things more figured out, you and Y/N are the only people I'm telling, okay?" Archie asks, requesting that they keep it to themselves for now, and the two nod.
"Well, I'd love to hear them sometime." Betty tells him as genuinely as she can. "Your songs.
"Yeah?" Archie's eyes light up, thrilled with the idea. "Yeah, I'm finishing a couple demos tonight."
"Nice." Y/N nods, giving him a proudlful look. He glances to see Betty looking at him, getting the cue. "Oh, I gotta go use bathroom. Be right back." He says in a comically ghostly tone.
"Archie." Betty begins, and the boy senses something important is coming. "I've been thinking.... about us, and our friendship. And, how it's time...." Archie's attention gets grabbed when the cafe's door opens and an outstanding looking girl walks through.
She pulls down her hood, revealing her gorgeous raven hair. Time seems to go to slow motion as she walks next to their table. Betty realizes Archie's eyes are drawn to something else and turns to see her.
"I called in an order for Lodge?" The girl asks the employee who happens to be the owner, Pops Tate.
"Two burgers, yeah, almost ready but you gotta wait." He informs her, walking past to the next place he has to be. The girl nods, and while waiting, walks up to Archie and Betty next to her.
"Hi, how are the onion rings here?" She inquires, pointing out her favorite side.
"So good." Archie answers with a smile, clearly his attention has been drawn to this lady who's definitely easy on the eyes.
"Can we get some onion rings too please?" She requests Tate, who nods and puts it in.
"Yeah."
"Thanks." She turns back to the two. "My mom and I just moved here, so..." She explains, which someone can easily guess since it seems like it's her first time at Pop's Chock'Lit Shoppe.
"From where?" Archie asks, in a tone that's oddly similar from someone else earlier.
"New York." The Lodge girl answers.
"Wow..." Archie nods, interest peeked.
"You guys go to Riverdale?" Veronica guesses, seeing that they're around her age.
"Yeah we're-
"Yes, we do." Betty abruptly answers, cutting Archie off. "We're sophomores, together." She says, giving Archie a look that hides a different feeling.
"Me too." Veronica mentions. "I'm filled with dread."
Before Archie can ask why, Y/N comes up, having felt awkward standing in the stall with nothing to do. He easily notices the girl talking to his friends. "Hello there." Y/N he says in his Obi-Wan Kenobi impression. "Y/N L/N, a-soon-to-be Director."
"Veronica Lodge." She gives her name and two give a brief handshake as Y/N sits back in his seat. "I'd like to see that."
"Archie Andrews." The man next to him introduces himself next. She then gestures to the blond girl. "And this is Betty Cooper."
"Wait." Veronica looks at her with squinted eyes, recognizing the name. "Are you...?"
"Supposed to give you your tour tomorrow? Yes." Betty nods. "I'm your peer mentor." Shen then jokes in a way only Y/N catches.
"Do you want to join us?" Archie invites her to the table, which causes Y/N to quickly glance between him and Betty who's giving the former a 'why?' look. "Hey, maybe we can un-fill you with dread."
"My mom's waiting for me." Veronica tells him, indicating a 'no'. And Archie politely nods. "But... to be continued."
She leaves, and Tate has her order for her in a to-go box. Archie watching her leave for a couple seconds before turning back to Betty. "I'm sorry, what were you saying?"
Betty shakes her head, now that someone's killed the mood and Y/N's already returned. "Nothing." She just says. Y/N doesn't try to make conversation after that, just waits for his food.
Strike one for Betty.

The suspense is killing Y/N. It's only been the first day and he can't help but get that excited feeling every time someone mentions the missing Blossom kid. 'Where did he go? 'Did he run away?' 'Did someone stick it to him?'
But he knows he has to wait if he wants to begin his show. He wants Jason to be the first body discovered, and the town realizes there's a killer on the loose, they'll be in fear like the cowards they are. Well, except maybe Jughead and his dad. That guy is no doubt writing a novel or whatever about the whole thing, finding inspiration of a rich kid gone missing.
"Thank you for that moment of silence." The echoed voice of Cheryl Blossom breaks his train of thought. The girl is currently in a black dress giving a speech about her brother in the gym. She speaks into the microphone.
Yes, you heard right. Although Jason is still 'missing' he's been gone for way too long to be considered alive at this point and Y/N was able to send Cheryl fake messages under her brother's name indicating that someone caught on and he had to 'change plans.'
To sell this, he staged a car accident using the same exact vehicle the Blossom twins were going to leave in. It was a little difficult, but Y/N was able to manage his timing perfectly. Then he called the police under disguised voice and lead them to the crashed car where they found a tiny bit of Jason's blood.
Even if someone is suspecting a stage, they'll change their mind by the time someone discovers Jason.
"Many of you were lucky enough to have known my brother personally." She begins, and Y/N chuckles. He sure did, and it cost him his life. Y/N thinks he sees Betty's eyes tearing up. "Each and every one of you meant the world to Jason. I loved my brother, he was and always will be my soulmate. So I speak with a confidence only a twin could have."
Y/N listens intently, his heart forms an evil grin as it wonders what Cheryl would think if she realized the murderer was sitting among the bleachers right now. "Jason wouldn't want us to spend the year mourning." As she says this sentence, Y/N sees Jughead, who alongside of unoccupied seats, wearing a skeptical expression. "Jason would want us to move on with our lives. Which is why I've asked the school board not to cancel the back-to-school semi-formal." She announces and everyone claps and cheers at this, to which Y/N sees Cheryl give a brief smile. "But rather use it as a way to heal, collectively. And celebrate my brother's too, too short life on this mortal coil."
As she seems to be wrapping up. Y/N watches the crowed for a couple seconds, eyeing their reactions and expressions. Oddly, Archie seems to be staring at Ms. Grundy, the music teacher Betty mentioned. She stares back and the two share a look that comes out as odd. While Grundy's seems blank, Archie seems nervous, as if the two share a secret that could kill both of them. 'But what?' Y/N wonders.
"Thank you all." Cheryl finishes her speech, and the crowd claps and cheers for her again, some with monotone looks on their faces. Y/N joins in because he knows he's supposed too, but he doesn't keep his eyes off the two until Grundy turns back to Cheryl.
Hmm, makes you think....

Lunch has arrived. Y/N didn't grab much, but he still takes his time finding his friend's table outside. His mind has been elsewhere, like wondering if Archie and Grundy really have a thing going on, or how Jason's death is getting so much attention despite the fact he can name a few who went missing and not even a word.... but, whatever.
Speaking of the former, Y/N hears the sound a guitar playing and singing, which helps him find his friends, (heh) as well as the new girl Veronica Lodge, who's name would spark more interest if it wasn't covered in the shadow of the July fourth incident.
"Hey, I should go, I got that meeting with Grundy and then football tryouts." Archie tells the group at the table, making his leave as soon as Y/N makes his way over.
"You play football too? What don't you do?" Veronica queries, impressed by his current resume if he had one.
"How about take creative and inspiring ideas and use them to creates stories with impactful themes and powerful characters?" Y/N asserts as he places himself where Archie was originally sitting.
"I guess there's that."
"Was wondering where you were." Kevin comments, he's the gay best friend of Betty as well as the sheriff's son, one of the reasons Y/N has tried to befriend him in hopes of getting an ear in the inevitable investigation of Jason. "Before any of you ask, no, she has not invited anyone else to the semi-formal yet." He then mentions, giving Betty a knowing look.
"N-No, not yet." Betty stutters. "Look, don't talk about Archie-"
"Veronica Lodge. I heard whisperings." Jason's sister shows up at the table, name dropping the new girl. "I'm Cheryl Blossom, may I sit?" She asks them in a somewhat polite manner.
"Oh, I'm sorry, we can't spare any room." Y/N fake apologizes, giving the others a cocky look. That doesn't bother the queen bee who straight up sits in Y/N's lap without warning, even warping an arm around him, causing him to almost drop his apple. "What are-"
"That's no problem." She simply states, giving him a confident smile. "So... what are you four hands gossiping about? Archie's efron-esque emergence from the chrysalis of puberty?" She suggestively guesses correctly.
"Extracurriculars." Veronica answers upon seeing Betty's uncomfortable expression, whether it's by the mention of Archie or the girl on top of Y/N, most likely both. "Weatherbee wants me to sign up for a few."
"Cheerleading! You must." Cheryl encourages. "I'm senior captain of the River Vixens." She boasts, moving a bit of her hair.
"Is cheerleading still a thing?" Kevin questions unimpressed.
"Is being the gay best friend still a thing?" Cheryl snarkily counters, causing Y/N to let out a snort despite trying not to. Kevin and Betty share a look. "Some people say it's retro, I say it's eternal and iconic."
"At Spence I sat at the top of the elite's pyramid. I'm in." Veronica shares, giving her answer before looking at Betty. "Betty, you're trying out too."
"Of course! Anyone's welcome to try out, but Betty's already got so much on her plate right now..." Chery's eyes land on her food tray, no doubt hinting at something. "...And being a vixen is kind of a full-time thing. But, open to all." She says, standing up and off of Y/N. "Follow me on twitter and I'll do the same. My handle is at Cherylbombshell."
With that, she leaves. And Veronica glances at both her and Y/N. "Wow...." She comments.
"She might be the Megan to my Tommy Jarvis...." Y/N mumbles, loud enough that everyone hears them, and he notices Kevin and Betty giving him a non-approving look. "She might." That was secretly a line that Y/N fed to himself, he was impressed by her boldness though.
"Anyway..." Veronica moves the topic forward. "Look Betty, go ahead and hate on cheerleading but, if hipster Prince Harry-"
"Come on, I'd love to be a cheerleader." Betty promises. "It would look great on my collage application, but last year when I tried out, Cheryl said I was too fat."
"Too 'Season five Betty Draper' It was a great line." Kevin adds, before immediately clearing this throat. "But... not at all true."
"Well... you're a total smoke show now, I mean it." Veronica compliments her and Y/N nods agreeingly. "As hot and as smart as you are, you should be the Queen Bae of this drab hive."
"Definitely, Archie has no reason not to be looking at you." Y/N comments, even though he knows he is lying, he definitely has a reason. "Whatever Cheryl says will just be her sounding jealous to everyone else."
"Thanks Y/N." Betty says to him with a slight blush.
"Look, if you wanna be a River Vixen, I'll help you prep." Veronica suggests. "I have moves." She adds.
"Then you know what?" Betty starts, finishing the bite of her apple. "Show me your moves."
Veronica smiles. Y/N thinks she's found a way to out-shun Jason.
Oh shit, that reminds him, he wonders if his gift made to his family.

'It'll be our little secret :)'
Curious, Clifford opens the package to find something he didn't expect to see brought back to him and his wife...
Rose's engagement ring.
