Chapter One

The honks of cars in traffic and the smell of smoke filled the cold, evening air. It was background noise to me now, since I've lived in Los Santos for sometime now.

My eyes were heavy with sleep, the only thing keeping me awake were the occasional footsteps nearing the alleyway I was in, only disappointment rose, as it was mainly random people walking home, with the occasional hobo or hooker appearing.

My eyes scanned the sky. Really, it would've been a beautiful night, if it weren't so polluted and interrupted with the city's lights.

The sound of feet briskly walking alerted me once again, this time, however, the person walked into the alleyway.

There was a little bit of mumbling, and then a lighter flickered on. The person lit a cigarette, and that little second of light was all I needed to recognize my target.

I slowly crept out of the hiding spot I was in, careful not to make any noise. My joints were a little stiff, but that could quickly be resolved.

Once I got close enough, I kicked a box in his direction, to signal I was there.

I saw him jump slightly. He cleared his throat. "Good evening, Pip."

I tilted my head. "If you don't mind, I'd love to skip the pleasantries." My speech was slightly muffled by the mask I was wearing.

"Always quick to the draw, Pip." He chuckled. "I suppose if you're in that much of a hurry, I'll get to the point." I saw a glint as he pulled out a blade. "I know I'm your target, but I'd rather go down with a fight."

"I'm not the one who wants you dead," I stated as he swung the knife at me. I easily dodged it.

I felt behind me, as I know I put my hammer there. Finally, I felt the wooden handle of it, and quickly swung it after dodging another attack.

The sharp end stuck in his right shoulder, which was the arm he was using with the knife. I heard him drop it, and a groan of agony.

I unstuck the hammer. "Anything you want to say?"

"Fuck you." He managed.

I sighed and tightened my grip on the handle. "Shame." And with that, I issued a death blow to his head with the flat side if the hammer.

I kicked his body to the side of the alleyway and hid him under some boxes. Someone would find him eventually, but no one would care.

I picked up his knife and put it in my pocket. It wouldn't hurt to have another weapon.

I heard footsteps again. This time, however, it sounded like a group. Like a big group.

Before I could hide, I saw a group of men in various masks, most of them animal themed.

I knew exactly who they were. Everyone did. They were as famous as Los Santos gangs went.

There leader seemed to be missing from the group, but the next in charge seemed to be the one in the pig mask.

Wildcat, I think was his name. He was staring at me, and vice versa. It became a staring contest.

Soon, however, he blinked. I smirked. I win. He finally spoke up.

"If it isn't Pip." His speech muffled. I was taken aback. I figured they knew about me, the hitman in a bunny mask, but not by name.

"Miss Piggy." I nodded in his direction. "I'm kind of busy, so if you don't mind." I started walking around them, but they moved into the alleyway, pushing me back with them.

"Our boss wants to see you."

I scoffed. "Please. If he needs somebody taken out, he can have one of you low brains do it."

"It's something a little more... personal." Wildcat moved towards me. I back up into the wall. "And I'm afraid you don't have a choice."

I clutched the handle of the hammer, still in my hand. Wildcat finally caught sight of the hammer and took it from me, handing it to a man in a monkey mask.

He grabbed my right arm and started dragging me towards the group.

With my left hand, I started fishing through my pocket. I felt the cold metal of the knife I picked up from the man, thankful that I thought to grab it.

I stabbed the hand that held onto me. At once, he let go, with a cry only a wounded animal could make, which felt appropriate.

I heard a gunshot, and then a sharp pain in my side. I also felt something hit my head. The hit was strong enough I passed out right away.

...

When I awoke, I was in a dark room. I noticed that my mask was still on, however, my shirt wasn't.

I tried to sit up, but the pain in my side stopped me instantly. I felt left side, my fingers brushed over bandages. Where the fuck am I?

It took a few minutes, but soon my eyes adjusted to the darkness, and I could make out my surroundings.

Big room. Bed. Nightstand. Lamp.

I switched the lamp on, an orange glow filled the room. By my bed, I saw my shirt, cut up.

I gritted my teeth and started to get up again. A racing pain shot through my body again, but I did my best to ignore it. I felt a lesser pain in my head.

There was a stiffness in my joints. How long have I been out?

I reached the door, the pain starting to become bearable as I got used to it.

I opened it, and walked into a dark hallway. Somewhere to the left, I could hear voices. Clutching my side, I made my way down to the room where I assumed it was coming from.

I put my ear up against the door, hearing things now and again.

She. Hammer. My hand. Kyle. Passed out. I'll go check.

The door opened. I fell, not realizing that my weight was on the door. I looked up to see the man in the pig mask, and saw his hand bandaged.

"Nice of you to join us."
