Unknown's P.O.V.
"Hello?" I answer my phone as I watch the container be re-filled with Bliss, we need to start distributing this before the Devils Keepers make a new batch. From what I understood, they are still harvesting it, meaning that maybe in a month or so, they will begin the introduction of it.
"Boss, she has finally agreed to come to the party." Cole, one of my member's sons said. "She and her friend are coming, do we make a move tonight?"
Evily smiling I lean against the wall keeping my gaze firm on the other works, "Not yet, I gotta do something before you make a move Cole." I answer, "Wait, I will send you a text."
"Got it, boss,"
"But make sure she doesnt leave too soon," I say quickly. "Understood?"
"Understood," He said firmly,
Hanging up the phone on him, I quickly type Harden's name on my phone. . .
Let the games begin.
. . .
Scarlett's P.O.V. (Two Weeks Later)
"Lettie!" Bea said my name excitedly holding up a dress for me to see, "How is this for Cole's party tonight?" It had officially been two weeks since we had begun a new life, and surprisingly no one had been able to reach us. It also has been two weeks since we have been constantly blowing Cole and his friends off for the saftey of our home.
I spoke to Jax yesterday night briefly over a burner phone he had, and he gave us permission to go, for an hour and my location had to be one. This is a new number he had provided me with, which had nothing to do with my old account or phone company.
"That is really cute," It was a tight black dress, it was short and off the shoulders, just the way she liked it. "It will look great on you."
"No, it's for you." She pouted.
"No," I say firmly, "Bea, you know I do not wear stuff like that." I didn't like exposing my skin, and she knew exactly why I had way to many bruises that I needed to cover up with foundation.
"Oh come on," She whined, "It's dark, and the coverage of this body makeup I found will not let anything show."
"Bea,"
"Please?" Her eyes twinkled in the light as she stared at me hopefully. I extended my hand out for her to hand me the dress. "Yes!" She said happily as I chuckled shaking my head I walked into the bathroom and got changed.
I looked at myself in the mirror and immediately didn't like what I saw as I turned to see my back. There were imprints of the belt that my- I mean Ross used against my body. The scars that ran deep left really ragged prints, even across my shoulder where I had the butterfly tattoo. I walk out feeling down about my body and crossed my arms, "That body makeup better work wonders." I mumbled as I sat down in the chair holding the foundation up for her, "Get to work."
Bea breathed out heavily but kept quiet as she slowly began covering each scar with the foundation. "Damn," She whispered, "Ross would do a number on you each time huh?"
I swallowed harshly, "You have no idea." Looking down at my golden butterfly rings, I feel tears begin to blur my vision. This ring is the only reason why I kept fighting. . .
Noah gave me this ring, the night before we decided to run away together. It was a promise of our love and a promise of the freedom he. was adamant that both of us should have. I loved butterflies for this reason, and he knew that.
. . .
"Noah," I whispered fearfully as we hid in the bushes of his backyard. He covered my mouth with his hand effectively quieting me down. I had taken a huge risk sneaking over to his house, but I needed to tell him that I was. ready.
Noah's gaze frantically looked around the yard for any guards before looking down at me, "Are you crazy?" He whispered back as we began crawling to the main gate, trying to lay low as much as possible. "Lettie, if Harden saw you-"
"Noah, I am ready." I cut him. off with tears in my eyes, "I am ready to run away with you if you are." The gold butterfly ring sparkled in the moonlight, "I-I mean it." Noah. kept quiet as we made it outside of the gates, he lent me a hand so I could stand up. "Noah," His eyes didnt meet mine, it felt as if he was hiding something. "Hey," Gently touching his face, I redirect his gaze. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." He breathed out heavily, "I-I" Taking my hands his thumb brushed over my ring. "Be ready, tommorow night. I will come for you, so wait for me outside of your house gates. okay?"
I smile softly at him, "You better not be late Mr Brock."
He. smiled back at me gently running his fingers through my hair, "I won't be, Ms Clyde."
. . .
"Lettie?" Bea shook me alittle bringing me back to the present. "Are you okay?" She asked me concerned.
I cleared my throat awkwardly standing up from front of the vanity, "Yeah," I respond, "Fine." Before she could ask me another question I walked out of the room, so she could get ready, and stand out on the balcony allowing some fresh air to clear my mind.
Noah Spencer Brock, the forbidden love that every girl dreams of was everything and above all that. He made me feel special, loved, and cared for something that my family didnt do. I knew it was wrong to get involved with him, but something. pulled me towards him each time.
It was so magical. . .we related on things that our families would never understand, we wanted. the same things from life that were miles away from what our families wanted for us.
At some point, I thought Noah was truly my soulmate, but the rivalry between our families changed our destiny from the possibility of even thinking about lovers, to the reality of being rivals.
I never thought of him as one, his brother sure, Harden has never liked me, and Archer never liked Noah but that never stopped us from sneaking around, and that. . that is what cost us everything.
. . .
Harden's P.O.V.
Finishing my daily workout, I reach over to my water bottle and chug most of the liquid down. Panting I sit down on the bench and begin to unwrap my hands from the boxing tape Hunter had wrapped earlier this evening. Freeing my hands I open and close them, trying to stretch them out as much. as possible since my left hand began cramping. Resting my back against the wall, I savored the peace. I felt in this large room alone when my phone went off ruining it.
Irritated I look down at it, to see an unknown number.
"Hey Harden," The text read.
Confused I click on it, "Who is this?" I ask through text.
"The same well-wisher," They responded. Anger infiltrated my body quickly as I stood up hitting the call button. I wanted to talk to this fucker, he had my product but it went straight to voicemail. I tried calling against but it was cut after a ring. "I wouldn't, otherwise I won't help." They texted back.
"Help?!" I text back, "Help with fucking what?" I was made that this unknown fucker was playing games with us. In these past two weeks, we haven't managed to get out hands on the product nor have we. managed to locate Bea or Scarlett.
A few seconds later, over twenty photos were sent through the chat. Quickly clicking on the images I felt my stomach knot up. Swiping through them, I quickly realize this person is stalking Bea and Scarlett each photo was of them, but in different settings. . . "Where is she?"
"I think I've helped enough, maybe you should ask Roxana to help you the rest of the way to find her." They knew Roxana? "Then take Hunter, and Vince, maybe just maybe you'll find her." Oh fuck, they knew everyone.
"Who are YOU!" I ask again.
"Goodbye, Harden." They texted before completely going offline. Gathering my things from the gym room I rush over to Roxana and Hunter's. room. Slamming my fist against the door frantically I wait for one of them to open the door.
"What the fuck?" I hear Hunter groan, as footsteps near the door. He swings it open shirtless, "Harden-"
"The unknown texter contacted me." I interrupted him, "He sent me photos of where Bea and Scarlett are and I need your girlfriend." Hunter sighed. "Please."
"Give me a minute." Roxana replied, "I'll be down soon."
"Okay," I say walking off before Hunter can intervene. I pace around downstairs as Roxie comes down with her hair all messed up holding her laptop, and a phone wire. I hand her my phone, and she begins her technical experience. I sat down beside her as my leg bounced up and down anxiously, Roxie worked alittle more, before locating a location. "Where is she?"
"Fuck me," She whispered,
"What?" I asked,
"Right underneath our noses." She answered swerving the computer screen around for me to see, "This was our old safe house before we sold it to some elder couple. . .I think their last name was Solace?" Why did that last name seem so familiar?
"Solace?" I whisper to myself, "Solace,"
"That is Laura's maiden last name," Mom said casually walking into the kitchen where Roxie and I were working together. "Why is that a name of interest?" She asked pouring herself a glass of water.
Roxana's jaw dropped as she quickly began typing the last name into our system, "Bingo." She whispered all information about Scarlett popped up in Kelowna's government system. "She was hiding as Lettie Solace, living in our old home that has been purchased by Henry and Stella Solace." Fuck she was smart, I didnt think she would be this smart, but this is why it was so hard to find her. She was living under an alias, not her real name.
Mom chuckled, "You all have her really underestimated."
"That we do," I agreed.
"Wait," Roxana said, "I have one more trick up my sleeve," She hit a few more buttons before pulling up CCTV footage from across the street of four houses.
"What am I looking at?" I asked,
"Wait," She replied leaning back, keeping my eyes locked on the. screen, my eyes widened, as soon as we all saw the helpers in all this charade. "More dirt, you're welcome."
Jaxon and Laura helped the two. . .
Mom and I looked at each other mischievously, "Well, the more we have the merrier." She said sitting down beside us, "Are you going to tell Ross?"
I shake my head, "No, not yet." I could use this to force Scarlett to return to us, I am sure she wouldnt want her beloved brother and mother to get into trouble for something that involved her. "I have somewhere else where this information will be useful."
Smirking I stand up, "Tell Hunter and Vince to get ready." I begin to walk out. "We are going on a road trip."
I'm coming Scarlett Clyde, and this time I am not going to let you go.
