Chapter 8
He put some rainbow sprinkles on top then you and Richard joined Lizzy and Thomas on the couch .
The group decided that it was the best idea to watch a horror movie before everyone had to leave. Usually you are not a fan of watching those films with your friends because you often got scared at the dumbest parts.
You squeezed on the couch and after figuring out how to change the channel on the hotel TV, the film started with screams and wriggles in terror. For accurate atmosphere you switched every light off.
Often you and Lizzy scared yourself by accident, for example your elbows had touched or you were looking at each other in the exact same moment.
Afterwards Lizzy was so scared, Thomas drove the paranoid Sweetheart home. On the other hand Richard didn't left, you guys were so into the topic you were talking for over half an hour nonstop.
"So do you believe in ghosts?" Richard filled his glass while you were thinking.
Still sitting on the couch you explained: "Not in ghosts exactly, more like ying-yang or so called karma."
"You should treat everyone how you would like to be treated. This, an chocolate ice are the most important things, I learned in life so far. By the way, I've got tomorrow a day off, would you mind coming with me to the local museum?" He sipped wine and smirked.
"Well actually I am really sorry but I've loads of stuff to do. I wanted to reshoot one fighting scene because I wasn't satisfied with the result." You sentence was followed by an awkward moment. He sighed and broke the silence: "Maybe next time... Hey it's gotten really late and Jane is probably in worried about me. I should go." He picked his now dry coat and tied up his shoes. He opened the door and halfway through he turned around and for a second you wished he would stay.
"See you on ... soon. (Y/n)."
"I really hope I will be nominated for the award this year. I worked my ass off!", you sipped your tea at lunch with Lizzy.
"Do you sometimes think that Benjamin would recommend any of you to the organization?", Lizzy raised her eyebrow.
"Anyways, when did Rich left you? Or did he leave at all?", followed by a obviously wink.
"He left soon after. Oh but somehow I wished he would have stayed... I know, I know he's taken but ... nevermind." Your friends eyes were wide open. "Lizzy! I've been single for about two years and I miss..."
"Sex?"
"Noo! I mean maybe but I don't like sleeping alone at all... and waking up to a handsome someone... why not?" You stood up and wanted to put away the dishes as a broad man rushed into you and the rest of your pasta was now on your T-shirt.
"Oh, no! I am so sorry Miss! I haven't seen you." You grumbled a short "no worries". He was as fast on the ground as he had stumbled into you. "Just a second I go and grab some tissues." He lost his wallet on the way. How clumsy he was.
"Oh looks hot and dirty, and rolls his R's as a wildling. H. O. T.", she groaned quietly. Lizzy's eyes followed the redheaded man to the kitchen aisle. You gasped and smiled.
"I mean why not, (y/n)? His name's Odin, he's the new costume director, sweet hm? I mean didn't you just complained about being lonely?"
So called Odin came back with loads of tissues.
"Again, I am so sorry...I ruined your t-zie." He mumbled something in his beard while scrubbing the floor.
"My friend told me, you are from the costume apartment? Maybe you could find me some clean clothes?"
"And your are names after the Norwegian father of gods?"
"Fits my appearance, doesn't it?" He really looked kind of a viking with his mid shoulder long hair and his height of at least 6"6.
"I really like your acting."
"Thanks," you blushed „You've designed the costumes of the current season?"
You entered the costume fundus, cramped and messy as always.
"A part, your dress for today, for example. The blue one." He put his hair into a bun and searched through the pile of clothing.
"I am (y/n). I guess you already knew that but... now officially. Hi." Oh god he thinks definitely you're a nobrainer. Good job.
"Of course I knew but nice to get a extra greeting."
He kneeled on the ground and you saw some tomato stains on his white shirt.
His toned arms were completely inked in diverse patterns.
"Got inked in every country I've been so far, just if you were asking yourself." He chuckled.
Caught, you blushed. However, Lizzy was right he was eye-candy.
After work you went down the supermarket aisle, indistinguishable chatter and beeping of the checkout filled your ears. The town was so small but it seems like everyone was shopping for groceries this particular afternoon. Your basket was filled with lovely goodies as someone tapped your shoulder.
"Hey (y/n), what a surprise to meet you. Buying some tomato sauce?" It was Odin, now in sweatpants and a bag full of fruits and vegetables.
"Yeah, I am not a good cook." You smiled.
"Really? Do you want to cook with me, I mean if you aren't busy right now.."
"I just bring my food home."
"Cooking! In his flat? You don't think that this might be risky?"
You could almost see how excited she was. 10 years ago you both would have screamed in excitement.
"Maybe - but why not? He's cute. Well, I have to call you afterwards. Just told him I'll be there in 15 minutes. See ya."
Lizzy flipped her phone back into her bag.
"Who was that?" Liam seemed curious why his fiancée was so jittery.
"It's (y/n) and she's meeting Odin. So lucky..."
He pinched her amused.
"Hope he's a good cook. What is better than food?" Jane laughed and looked at Richard.
The couple have spontaneously met the fiancés in a restaurant and spend dinner together. Richards eyes were focused on the menu.
"Sure. Have you chosen?"
"My first thought wasn't that you look kind of an artsy guy, to honest." You placed the plates on the wooden table while he cleaned the kitchen. His whole flat was a colorful mix of furniture with wooden accents. His kitchen looked like a jungle, everywhere plants and herbs.
„Why not? I like to draw as well. May I draw you?" You just nodded surprised.
After a few minutes he handed you his painting. It was a stick figure with long hair.
„I never said I was good." He smiled and you giggled.
„Pardon, But this piece of Art should be framed. It looks magnificent!" You proclaimed.
„A real eye-catcher... seems like I can capture the vibe at least." He touched your nose with his floured finger.
„Hope you've learned your text." Richard, fully costumed, swaggers around you. Why was he in a bad mood? Anyway you practiced it indeed. You memorized it perfectly and it was showing.
You liked the costume of the day it was really pirate-like, white huge blouse, lots of leather and cloths for every use.
You were in the underground of the castle. Rhin, you and his team wanted to entered the treasury from underneath. The biggest vulnerability of the enriques attitude was the pride.
You were the first entering through the hole, unfortunately your plan has leaked, they were waiting for you.
„That's why you should have stayed home." Rhin's face, bloodstained, faced you with pain and fear. He would risk every life but yours.
„I chose this path. Not even you could've changed my mind."
„Hmpf."
The hands of everyone were tied above their head. The fellowship urgently needs to figure out how to escape the death. The Enriques were not so clever but doubled all in coldness and cruelty.
„Hey Richard, have you seen Jane? I wanted to speak about our next scene."
Still fake blood on his cheek he shook his head and answered: „Don't know. Maybe she has a day off."
After the first pass of the seen you went up to the director to get more information about Jane.
„She's sick?"
Benjamin nodded. „She called me this morning that she didn't felt good and didn't want to spread it. She said that she might have eaten something wrong. I will send you here new number and you can work on the drafts at home, ok?"
„How was the... date?" Thomas poked his veggies around the edge of his plate.
„It was... nice. He was a real gentleman and we cooked and painted. - But you do not really listen, do you?" In this moment Lizzy came around the corner.
He was admiring the woman and you whispered: „Fuck. You are in love with her!"
„How's it going, babes?" She wore her precious engagement ring. It blinked as she unpacked her lunch. „Have you heard, the comity of the Nelson-Award has been chosen. But don't tell anyone, I just know it from Liam. Furthermore, I've heard they consider female actors this year, maybe the new member changed their mind about what feminism really is.", she rolled her eyes. „Therefore, (y/n), I know you want it but no matter how hard you train you have to be more... quirky? They want to reform the image of this award, someone special, extravagant, will represent the face of them for a year. You need more gossip, girl!"
„Couldn't I just be me and work harder?"
„No. The world is dark and unfair, however, you should finally gain the popularity you deserve. We will help you, right?"
„Yes, we push you to the top. In front of every casted man. Every."
