Jealous
Levi met with Mikasa back at the Elementary school as soon as the shrill bell rang as it always did. He smirked at her before he turned back and trotted down the hallway. His mind was filled with her, it would be the hardest thing for him if she had ever left him. The fade of closed lockers was now common as he passed through the classrooms.
As Levi passed by the class doors, he peeked in. Mikasa usually spent most of her time with him during recess. He sighed as he looked around, she wasn't there. Levi rushed over to the window overlooking the playground. There she was...with Eren.
A pain struck his heart as he looked on the two. She looked so happy with him, and he felt too bad to interrupt. Mikasa spotted him as he dashed off. "Levi!" Eren looked over his shoulder to find nothing. "Let's go Mikasa," he called. Instead of searching for him, she turned nervously, "Okay."
Levi ran down the hallway and up the stairs, pain inching towards his heart as he came upon the top step. Suddenly, he tripped and skidded his knee. "Ack!" He gasped as he stared down at the place of impact. Forgetting the pain to tend to it later, he came to the landing and opened the door to the rooftop. Levi winced as the piercing cold wind shot through the door. Shivering with only a light, white shirt, black pants and cravat he sat on the bench to the side.
His knee hurt badly and a trickle of blood now oozed from it. With one last grunt, he took out a wrap from his bag and wiped the blood down. At the top of the roof where all was peaceful, he tried to forget about her. If she didn't want to be with him, it would be alright...but something told him it wasn't.
"Levi!!" The black haired boy bit the wrap and tore it off, sealing the bandage with a final tug. "Levi!!" Mikasa's voice rang in his ears. He could hear her coming up the steps, "Where are you? Levi!" He didn't want to respond, it was too much for him to bear. Finally, the door opened wide, and Mikasa stepped in. "Levi," she let out a breath, "I'm so glad-" "Go away." His blunt voice interrupted hers. "But-" "Go away!" Tears brimmed in her eyes, and with a final glance back, she left, running back down the steps crying. Her moans reached his ears, and as he heard them, he realized what he had done.
"Mikasa..." His voice was weak and tired, "Damn it!" He yelled at himself, "Damn you!" Slowly, his voice started to crack and tears started to brim and stream from his face, dropping to the ground, "I'm sorry, Mikasa....I'm sorry...."
