"Your such an asshole Abhi!" Rhea yelled, "How could you question Shanaya's character like that, your suppose to be her best friend, you claim to love her but who says such words to someone they love".

"Rhea calm down" Rajat said. Rajat knew if he didn't stop Rhea now, she is going to burst on Abhi and probably say things she shouldn't have.

"Calm down?" Rhea asked, looking at her boyfriend in shock, "Instead of telling me to calm down, you should be telling your ass of an best friend off Rajat, don't you consider Shanaya as your sister, then why won't you defend her?".

"You see what I've done, but what about what Shanaya did" Abhi snapped.

"What did Shanaya do?" Rajat asked, confused as to where his best friend was taking this.

"She went on a fucking date with Rohan" Abhi said, angering Rhea even more.

"Do you even hear yourself?" Rhea snapped, "Shanaya didn't go on a date with Rohan, she was helping me in his studies, thats it, because thats the type of person she is, she helps people without any selfish reasons, I've not known her for that long but I already know what type of person she is, but you her so called best friend, who has known her for her entire life, doesn't know that much about her".

"Rhea stop" Rajat said sternly.

"Don't stop me Rajat" Rhea said snapping at her boyfriend, "He needs to know that Rohan isn't taking Shanaya away from him, but his jealous ass is pushing Shanaya closer to Rohan".

"Rhea enough is enough" Rajat snapped, "I'm sure he understands, you need to stop now".

"Just shut up Rajat, of course your going to support him" Rhea said, looking at her boyfriend in disgust.

"Rhea I'm not supporting him, I know his wrong but your being too harsh on him" Rajat explained to his fuming girlfriend.

"I'm not being too harsh, I'm stating the truth" Rhea said, "If Abhi genuinely loved Shanaya he would have never questioned her character, Rohan is a lot of things and he has had a lot of flings, but as long as I've known him, he has never questioned a girls character, hell not even Tanya's, Abhi your suppose to be the good boy, but today your worst than the bad boy, I don't care if I'm being harsh, but you don't deserve Shanaya, you yourself have pushed Shanaya to Rohan and I pray to God Rohan takes Shanaya away from you, because she deserves so much better than a guy who questions her character just because she was helping a guy he hates, your pathetic Abhi, really pathetic".

Listening to Rhea's words was like a stab to Abhi's heart, he knew he shouldn't have said what he said, but it came out of his mouth before he could even stop himself, and what the sad part was he didn't regret it until he heard Rhea's words, does he really not deserve Shanaya, was it really because of him that Shanaya and Rohan are getting closer?.

"Rhea just shut up!" Rajat yelled, "Your going to far, you need stop right now".

"I need to stop?" Rhea asked shocked, "You and your best friend need to stop being such assholes, you both claim to care for Shanaya, but both of you don't care about her feelings, Abhi questions her character, and you instead of defending your so called sister, your taking your best friends side, your no less than Abhi Rajat".

"Just cause I'm not saying anything doesn't mean I am taking Abhi's side" Rajat said, wondering how can Rhea even think like this about him, "I know his wrong, very wrong, but instead of helping him understand his mistake, your going off at him, how's that going to help him understand?".

"Its what he deserves".

While Rajat and Rhea were busy arguing, both of them didn't notice Abhi leaving the room, he didn't want to see Rajat and Rhea fight because of him. Abhi absently walked, not knowing where to go, usually whenever he was lost and in dilemma he always used to go to Shanaya, but he just ruined that equation.

While Abhi was walking he passed the music room, he stopped when he heard the voice of the girl he loves.

"Rohan I can't do this, its to hard" Shanaya complained.

"Its really not, here let's try another technique then" Rohan said standing up.

"What technique?" Shanaya asked confused.

Rohan went behind Shanaya and wrapped his hands around the guitar, basically hugging Shanaya from behind.

"What are you doing?" Shanaya asked confused.

"Just follow my lead okay?" Rohan said, Shanaya nodded in understanding, and slowly started following Rohan's lead, both of them tried to get themselves engrossed in the guitar and not think about how close they were.

Seeing Shanaya and Rohan together, Abhi's mind went back to what Rhea said, does Rohan really deserve Shanaya more than him, did he really just lose Shanaya to Rohan?

Abhi wiped his tears that had slipped without him even realising. Giving Shanaya one last glance Abhi left, not wanting to see Rohan and Shanaya together anymore, it was just too painful.

"Shanaya you sure your going to be okay?" Rohan said, dropping Shanaya to her dorm room.

"Rohan I'm okay, just want to be alone for a while, need to get my thoughts together" Shanaya said, giving Rohan a small smile.

"Why do you want to be alone?" Rohan asked, "Did you not like my company?".

"Not really" Shanaya teased, making Rohan roll his eyes.

"But seriously your going to be okay right?" Rohan asked again, concern shown clearly in his voice.

"Rohan I'm going to be fine, I think I'm going to go to bed now, I'm exhausted" Shanaya said, looking at her face, Rohan could tell she wasn't lying, plus he also had someone to deal with.

"Fine go to sleep, but message me when you wake up" Rohan said, this time making Shanaya roll her eyes.

"Aye aye captain, now go and don't worry about me" Shanaya said, playfully pushing Rohan out of the door.

"I can't help it nerd" Rohan said, wondering why the hell couldn't he stop worrying about Shanaya.

Shanaya smiled at Rohan, "Bye Rohan".

"Take care nerd" Rohan whispered, looking at the now closed door.

After dropping Shanaya to her dorm, Rohan went to find the person who was the cause of her tears. While looking for Abhi, Rohan saw Rhea and Rajat arguing about something.

"Rajat, where the hell is Abhi" Rohan asked, going up to where Rhea and Rajat were arguing.

"I don't know" Rajat lied, looking at Rohan's furious face, "But why do you want to know?".

"He made Shanaya cry" Rohan said furious, "Tell me where the fuck is he Rajat, I know your ass is lying".

Before Rajat could say another lie, Rhea spoke, "His at the football field".

Rohan gave Rhea a thankful glance and left from them to go find Abhi.

"Rhea why the hell did you tell him?" Rajat asked, knowing Rohan won't spare Abhi.

"Because Abhi deserves whatever Rohan will do to him" Rhea said, leaving Rajat alone in the corridor.

Arriving at the football field, Rohan saw Abhi kicking the ball around, furious Rohan went up to him and punched his face.

"What the fuck" Abhi said, looking at Rohan in shock.

Without a warning Rohan punched him again, "How dare you say such things to Shanaya", punch, "You made her cry you asshole", another punch, "You left bruises on her wrists".

Rohan goes to punch Abhi again, but Abhi stopped his hand and punched him, "All this is your fault you asshole", punch, "You are coming in between me and Shanaya", another punch, "Everything was fine until you came in between us".

Rohan stopped Abhi's punch and this time punched him, making him fall on the ground, "I didn't ruin anything between you and Shanaya, that was all done by your ass, you claim to love her yet you keep hurting her".

Abhi got up from the ground, and held Rohan by his collars, "You think you deserve her more than me, then let's see who will win Shanaya's heart".

"What?" Rohan asked, pushing Abhi away from him and not knowing where he was taking this.

"Let's make a bet right now, right here, to see who wins Shanaya's heart, and whoever does, the other person will leave and never come near Shanaya again" Abhi said, he knew this was wrong, but this was the only way he could kick Rohan out of Shanaya's life, he would never admit this out loud, but he was threatened by Rohan and his closeness with Shanaya.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Rohan said, pushing Abhi, "Your such a disgusting person Abhi, Shanaya's heart is no object you can't just make a bet on it like this, what kind of a friend are you, your not a friend your worst than a bloody enemy".

Honestly speaking, this was ironic coming from Rohan, because even before he met Shanaya he wanted to break her heart, but as time went on and he got more closer to Shanaya, he got to know her as a person, he didn't how and when, but he no longer wanted to break her heart, he couldn't break her heart even if he tried.

"Don't tell me what I am" Abhi snapped, "Your just a coward, because you know Shanaya would choose me over you, you know you will lose".

"Yeah thats why you need to make a bet" Rohan said sarcastically, looking at Abhi with disgust, "Face it Abhi, your threatened by me, your threatened that Shanaya is falling for me and she's forgetting about you".

"Just shut up, you bastard" Abhi said, punching Rohan, making him laugh.

"Face it Abhi, me and Shanaya are way more compatible than you and her" Rohan said, wiping the blood from his lips.

"If you really think that then why are you scared of making the bet?" Abhi asked smirking.

"We both know I'm not scared Abhi, but unlike you, I don't want to play with Shanaya's feelings, do you even realise how hurt she will be once she finds out about this" Rohan said, not even wanting to think about Shanaya's reaction.

"Why are you worried about that, you seem to know how to calm her down, make her forget her pain" Abhi snapped, flinching at the memory of Rohan and Shanaya in the music room.

"I smell jealousy" Rohan said smirking.

"And I smell a coward".

"Don't call me a coward" Rohan snapped.

"Then why won't you accept the bet" Abhi said smirking, knowing his getting under Rohan's skin.

"Fine!" Rohan snapped, hearing enough of Abhi calling him a coward, "But Shanaya does not find out about this bet, no matter what happens, she never finds out".

"Deal" Abhi said, forwarding his hand.

Rohan shook Abhi's hand but he wasn't happy with this bet, he felt like he was breaking Shanaya's trust, I trust you, Shanaya's words kept going around in his head, he hated what he just did, even though he wanted to break her heart since day one, but now he was scared, he was scared what will happen when Shanaya finds out, will she still trust him or will that be the end of her trust in him.

Now once again, there was the same question in Rohan's head, trust or rivalry?

After his confrontation with Abhi, Rohan was feeling like shit, he went there to beat the shit out of him, but instead he ended up making a bet with him, a bet that will most likely break Shanaya's heart and trust in him.

Rohan was walking aimlessly around the campus, his mind was hazy, he didn't know where he was going, and he didn't know how he ended up in front of Shanaya's dorm room.

Rohan didn't know what he was doing, he had no idea when he knocked on Shanaya's door, and he had no idea what to do when she opened the door and came in front of him, he finally realised where he was and what he was doing, and now he had no idea what to say to the girl in front of him, specially when she asks him what his doing here.

"Well look whose back" Shanaya said smiling, looking at Shanaya's appearance Rohan could tell she had just woken up, and Rohan suddenly felt guilt for waking her up, "Rohan I told you I'm fine, you don't have to keep checking up on me".

"Actually, I'm not here to check up on you" Rohan said, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment, confusing Shanaya.

"Then why are you here?".

Rohan was speechless, what the hell was he suppose to tell her, I don't know how I came here, I was in a daze after I made a bet to make you fall in love with me with your best friend, and then somehow ended up at your dorm.

"Umm, actually the exams are starting tomorrow so I just came here to wish you good luck for them" Rohan lied.

"Well I guess then I should probably wish you good luck as well" Shanaya said smiling, "Good luck for the exams bad boy".

"Thank you" Rohan said, giving Shanaya a small smile.

"Is everything okay?" Shanaya asked, frowning seeing Rohan's dull face.

Rohan wanted to scream, tell Shanaya nothing is right, tell her that the person she claims is her best friend, is actually a dickhead, who makes bets on her heart, but he knew he couldn't completely blame Abhi, because he was at fault here as well, he accepted the damn bet.

"Everything is okay" Rohan replied, "Just wanted to wish you luck, and also make sure you were okay, I'm going to leave now, you go to sleep, we have to get up early tomorrow".

"Good night Rohan".

Rohan turned to leave, but suddenly stopped, he turned around and hugged Shanaya tightly, trying to reduce his pain, trying to convey to Shanaya his dilemma, and just savouring this moment over all.

Shanaya hugged Rohan back, she was starting to get worried for him, "Rohan I know something is wrong, please tell me, maybe I can help".

Rohan separated himself from Shanaya, but held Shanaya close to him, "Shanaya how important is trust for you?".

"Trust is very important to me" Shanaya said, "Without trust no relationship can last, if people don't trust, they become cold, and this world just becomes meaningless, not worth living in".

"What if someone you trust ends up breaking your trust, but they really didn't mean to, they didn't want to, but they kind of didn't have a choice" Rohan said, anxious to hear Shanaya's reply.

"If someone I know breaks my trust I would be devastated, might not trust them again, if someone told them to break my trust, it hurts even more, because it means they chose their ego over my trust" Shanaya explained, if Rohan was guilty before, he wanted to go jump off a cliff now, "But why are you asking these questions all of a sudden?".

"Nothing serious" Rohan lied, trying to reduce Shanaya's worry, "I just needed some advice".

"Did someone break your trust?" Shanaya asked, really worried about Rohan due to his odd behaviour and questions.

Rohan wanted to go lock himself in a room and never come out, he made a bet to make Shanaya fall for him and here Shanaya was worried about him, she was making sure he was okay, what was he doing to such a pure girl, Rohan needed to get away from her right now, he turned his face, and said, "Shanaya I have to go, see you after the exams".

Before Rohan could leave, Shanaya made him face her and this time she hugged him, Rohan hugged her back tightly, he wanted to stay in this moment forever, someone was caring for him and he wanted to enjoy every second of it, before he loses her because of his stupidity.

Shanaya's next words made Rohan's heart pound rapidly, it was almost like it was going to burst out of his body.

"I will never break your trust Rohan".
