"Shanaya I'm going to be fine, I'm just going to pick up my guitar and get out of there before they even realise I'm here".

"Rohan why did you even leave your guitar there in the first place".

"Shanaya I'm human, I forget things sometimes".

"But why at your house?".

Rohan laughed at Shanaya's words, even though he couldn't see her through the phone, Rohan could easily tell she was frowning right now.

"Shanaya stop frowning and hang up, the quicker you hang up the quicker I get my guitar and the quicker I come back to you".

"I will stop frowning when you come back to me in a good mood".

Rohan smiled at Shanaya's words, "I will come back to you in a good mood, I promise, now hang up and go help Rajat get his stuff from Abhi's room into mine and Jeet's room".

"Oh yeah that reminds, thank you so much Rohan".

"Thank you for what?".

"For letting Rajat stay with you and Jeet, it means a lot to me".

"I know it does Shanaya, but I didn't do it for you I did it for me, finally there's someone who can save me from Jeet's loud snoring". 

"I don't snore!".

Rohan laughed at Jeet's response, "I'm guessing your with the others".

"Yeah we are helping Rajat pack his stuff".

"Alright then nerd hang up and go help everyone pack, the sooner you pack the quicker your out of that asshole's dorm".

Ignoring Rohan's dig at Abhi, Shanaya said, "Do I have to?".

"Shanaya".

"Fine fine, I'm hanging up, just be careful and try not to get angry".

"No promises, but I will try for you, now bye".

Rohan went to hang up the phone, but Shanaya stopped him before he could, "Rohan wait!".

"What now Shanaya?".

"I love you".

Rohan couldn't stop the huge grin that came on his face after hearing Shanaya's words, no matter how many times he heard those words, they always felt like she was saying them for the first time, "I love you too nerd, now bye".

Before Shanaya could say anything else Rohan hanged up on her, knowing if he kept talking to her he would never get his guitar and never leave this hell people like to call his home. 

Putting his phone in his back pocket, Rohan took a deep breath and proceeded to open the door of Nanda Mansion. 

Entering the house, Rohan looked around and saw the hallway was empty, from the looks of it, it seemed like no one was home, and Rohan hoped that was the case, he was in no mood to deal with any of his family members right now. 

Rohan climbed the stairs up to his room, all while keeping an eye for his family members. Entering his room, Rohan was shocked to see his mother in his room, looking at their old family photos. 

"Ma". 

Amrita looked up from the photos to see her youngest son standing at the doorway of his own room, looking very confused. 

"Rohan what are you doing here, its not the weekend is everything alright?".

"I forget my guitar here when I came here last time, so I just came here to get that".

Amrita gave Rohan a small smile, "I was thinking how can the rockstar leave his precious guitar behind".

"Uh yeah, there was a lot on my brain I guess that day which is why I forget about the guitar", Rohan went and picked up his guitar, "I just came here for this, so I guess I'll take leave your now".

Rohan started walking towards the door but Amrita stopped him by holding his wrist, "Rohan wait, I know you have things to do back at St Teresa but do you think you can spare some minutes for your mother?".

Rohan frowned hearing his mother, he doesn't even remember the last time he and his mother had a one on one, "I don't..."

"Please Rohan, just for five minutes, I won't take more time than that I promise".

After much thinking, Rohan finally sat down on his bed next to his mother, "Why do you suddenly want to talk to me?".

Amrita sighed, "I know I'm not the best mother Rohan, but I would still like to know whats happening in my sons life from time to time".

"Well if you want to know, your sons life is a kind of a mess right now".

Amrita frowned, "Why is it a mess?".

Rohan hesitated before answering Amrita, after much thinking he realised it wouldn't really make a difference if he told her or not, "I'm in love".

Instead of the shock expression that Rohan was expecting, Amrita simply smiled at Rohan, "I know your in love Rohan, with Shanaya right?".

Rohan looked at his mother in shock, "How do you know that?".

"I'm your mother Rohan, I know when my son is in love, also the fact that shes the first girl you brought to the house and the first girl who you fought your brother for, tells a lot".

Rohan looked at his feet, "Was it that obvious?".

Amrita nodded in response, "But I still don't get how being in love messed your life up?".

"Being in love didn't mess my life up, instead it fixed my life".

"Then why did you say your life is a mess?".

"Shanaya's best friend Abhimanyu Singh is also in love with her".

Amrita frowned, "Abhimanyu Singh, as in your rival?".

Rohan nodded in response, "At first when me and Shanaya were getting close he made a bet with me, that whoever makes Shanaya fall for them first wins her and the other has to leave her life forever".

Amrita frowned, "Rohan you didn't accept the bet did you?".

Rohan put his hands on his face, "I didn't want to, I really didn't want to, but he kept calling me a coward and you know what that word does to me, so I accepted it".

Amrita knew what the word coward did to him, ever since he was a kid his brother and father have always called him a coward for everything, if he got scared at night he was a coward, if he didn't talk back to people he was a coward, if he didn't let go of his dream of being a Rockstar he was a coward, if he refused to be part of the family business his a coward, no one really realises how much damage the word coward causes Rohan.

"Did Shanaya find out about it?".

"Yeah she did, and to make things worse Abhi lied to her and blamed me for the bet", Rohan's mind went back to the time Shanaya confronted him, the look on her face gives Rohan nightmares to this day.

"What happened after that?".

"I told Shanaya the truth and after sometime she believed me and the crazy nerd confessed her love for me in the corridor of the boys hostel, in front of everyone", Rohan smiled at the memory of him and Shanaya confessing their love for each other, that memory will stay with him forever. 

"She must really love you if she's willing to confess it in front of everyone".

"I have no doubt on her love, I know she loves me a lot, more than anyone in this whole entire world". 

Amrita observed Rohan carefully, seeing her son talk about someone like this was so new for her, she never thought her arrogant bad boy can fall so deep in love with anyone, "And you love her more than anyone in this world".

"I do, I really do, which is why I'm so scared to lose her".

Amrita looked at her son in confusion, "Why would you lose her now?".

"Abhi saw me and Shanaya together that day, and he refused to back down, so he announced a competition for Shanaya's love, whoever wins gets Shanaya, and Shanaya knew that was the only way to get Abhi off of our backs, so she ended up accepting it".

"And now your scared that you might not be able to win".

"I'm terrified, Shanaya is my life, I can't watch her become Abhi's, I admit I haven't loved Shanaya as long as Abhi has, but I know for a fact no one not even Abhi can love Shanaya as much as I do, and without her I don't know what I will do with my life".

"Well your not going to find out what your without Shanaya, because your going to win this competition".

Rohan looked at his mother in both shock and confusion, "How are you so sure?".

"Because your my son, and I know my son, his not a loser his a born winner, you love Shanaya right, then win this competition, show the whole world that no one can snatch Shanaya from Rohan".

Rohan let his mother's words sink in, she was right, this competition is a test on Shanaya and Rohan's love, he has to win so he could tell everyone who dared look at his and Shanaya's love in the wrong way to never in their life underestimate them again. 

"Your right Ma, I can't think about losing I have to win, under no circumstances can I let Abhi win, I can't let Shanaya's trust on our love break so easily". 

Amrita smiled and put her hand on Rohan's shoulder, "Thats the spirit, go and win the competition and show Abhimanyu Singh the consequence of eyeing your love".

"Tanya when someone keeps rejecting your calls, it usually means they don't want to talk to you".

"Shut up Abhi and tell me where the hell are you, I though we were suppose to be making a plan to destroy Rohan and Shanaya's relationship".

"The plan can wait Tanya, I'm busy right now".

"And may I know what the fuck your busy with?".

"No you may not know, now don't call me again, I'll call you myself when I get back to St Teresa".

"Listen Abhi...", Before Tanya could finish speaking, Abhi hang up on her, he was coming closer to his destination and he would rather not let Tanya know where he was or what he was doing. 

Finally after what seemed like forever, Abhi arrived at his destination, the graveyard. 

Getting out of his car, Abhi slowly walked up to his mother's grave, and sat infront of it. 

"Hey Ma, I know its been a while since I've visited you, but as you know there's a lot going on in my life right now, Shanaya has left me and I'm pretty sure Rajat hates me".

Abhi took a deep breath before continuing, "I know separating two love ones is wrong, maybe even a sin, but Rohan isn't right for Shanaya, he has a new girl everyday, don't even get me started on the amount of girls he has slept with, I know for a fact he will end up breaking Shanaya's heart and I can't let that happen, I know people will call me evil for separating two people who are in love, but if you look at it from my perspective, I'm just protecting the girl I love". 

Abhi stares at the sky above him, "If your looking down at me, please give me the strength to protect Shanaya from Rohan's fuck boy antics, I refuse to lose Shanaya like I lost you, please stay with me in this journey, please guide me in this fight for my love, please Ma, your Abhi needs you more than anything right now".

After sharing their feelings and problems with their respective mothers, both Rohan and Abhi had arrived back at St Teresa. 

Both Rohan and Abhi got out of their respective cars at the same time, not realising each others presences. 

"Shanaya I just arrived, I'll come to your dorm now".

"Hurry up bad boy, I miss you".

Rohan laughed at Shanaya, "I miss you too nerd, I'm coming right away".

"Bring your guitar with you".

"Why do I feel like you want to see my guitar more than me".

"Your feeling is absolutely right, I've missed your guitar, now hurry up and come!".

"Geez women I'm coming, hang up so I can come to you".

After hanging up the call with Shanaya, Rohan grabbed his guitar and started to walk towards Shanaya's dorm, but got stopped by a voice behind him.

"How long are you to continue this act for Rohan?".

Rohan turned around to face the one and only Abhimanyu Singh, "What the fuck do you want now Abhi?".

"I just wanted to know how long your going to pretend to be in love with Shanaya for?".

Rohan curled his fingers into a fist and glared at Abhi in anger, "Don't ever, and I mean ever, question my love for Shanaya, otherwise you will regret it for the rest of your life".

"Rohan I'm not the only one questioning your love, everyone in this collage is, and can you really blame us, no one believes that the fuck boy Rohan Nanda has learnt to love someone".

"You want to know the power of my love yeah Abhi, then go ask Shanaya, I'm pretty sure she will tell you how much I love her and lets not forget how much she loves me".

This time Abhi curled his fingers into a fist, "Shanaya is currently blinded by your manipulated talks Rohan, once that blindfold comes off then she will realise how stupid she was for actually thinking a playboy can change his ways for one simple girl".

"Do you have nothing better to do with your life Abhi, all you do is create stupid bets or competitions, and if those don't work you come up to me and start meaningless fights, is that how lonely you are".

"I'm not fucking lonely".

"But you are Abhi, look around you everyone has left you, your mum, your dad, Rhea, Shanaya and now even Rajat, when are you going to realise that your evil ways have ended up harming you more than anyone else".

Abhi held Rohan by his collars, "Don't mention my mum and dad's name from your filthy mouth Rohan, and about Shanaya and Rajat, both of them will come back once I make your ass lose in the competition".

Rohan pushed Abhi away from him, "Keep dreaming Abhi, this competition and Shanaya are both mine".

"We will see about that".

"We sure will mate".

Both Abhi and Rohan walked opposite directions from each other, unknown to the two pair of eyes that were observing all their actions. 

"Coach Shah remember when the car race happened between Rohan and Abhi, and you had asked me if that would end their rivalry?".

Coach nodded, "You said it wouldn't instead it would make it worse, and you were right".

Dean looked at both Rohan and Abhi's retreating figures, "This competition will do the thing that the car race failed to do".

Coach looked at Dean in confusion, "What sir?".

"It will end this rivalry once and for all".
