"How could you Rohan, how could you!" Shanaya cried, punching Rohan's chest with her small fists, "I trusted you, I let my heart feel for you but you didn't value it one bit did you, you made fun of my feelings, you made a bet to break my heart, how could you Rohan, how could you do this to me!".

"Shanaya please listen to me, I..."

"No!" Shanaya said, pushing Rohan away from her, "Your bad Rohan really bad, Arjun was right you are poison you have poisoned my whole life, you have ruined me, I hate you Rohan Nanda I hate you!".

Hearing Shanaya's words Rohan froze, his biggest fear was coming true, Shanaya hated him, she believed he was poison, she was leaving him.

"No Shanaya, please don't say that".

"Why Rohan, when you didn't care about my feelings then why should I care about you and your stupid feelings?".

"Shanaya please forgive me, don't leave me , I can't live without you, I will die without you".

Rohan looked into Shanaya's eyes hoping to see her feelings, hoping she will stay with him, but what he saw scared him. Shanaya's eyes were cold, they held no emotions in them, they were almost evil like, they looked nothing like Shanaya's eyes, something was wrong.

"You deserve it Rohan, after what you did to me you deserve to be alone, you deserve to die!".

Rohan looked at Shanaya in shock, the girl in front of him might look like his Shanaya but her behaviour was nothing like her, he was getting more and more scared as every second passed by.

"Shanaya...", Rohan reached his hand out for Shanaya but suddenly she disappeared into thin air and everything around Rohan turned dark.

"Shanaya!", Rohan looked around frantically, he hated this darkness, he hated being alone in it without his shinning star, without his nerd, "Shanaya where are you, please we can fix this Shanaya, please don't leave me!".

"Shanaya isn't coming Rohan, she's mine now".

"Abhi" Rohan whispered, staring at the person in front of him, "What are you doing here, where's Shanaya, what the hell did you do to her Abhi?!".

"I didn't do anything Rohan, your the one who pushed her away from you, by making the bet with me".

The evil look Abhi gave Rohan made shivers go down his spine, his mind kept telling him somethings wrong but he doesn't know what.

"I didn't make the bet you did!".

"And you accepted it Rohan, if you cared so much about Shanaya you should have stuck to your word, you should have never accepted the bet".

Rohan shook his head rapidly, "I didn't want to, you know I didn't want to, but you picked on my insecurities, you manipulated me!".

Abhi gave Rohan an evil smirk, "That I take full credit for, sucks Shanaya's never going to find out the whole truth about the bet".

"I will tell her, I will tell her how bad you are".

Abhi let out a laugh after hearing Rohan's words, "You can't Rohan, Shanaya doesn't even want to see your face let alone believe your words, face it Rohan you lost, Shanaya is now mine".

Rohan put his hands over his ears, not wanting to hear Abhi's words, "No Shanaya can't be yours, she just can't".

"She is mine Rohan, now excuse me while I go to my Shanaya, maybe officially mark her mine also, if you know what I mean".

"Abhi!" Rohan yelled, lunging towards him but Abhi disappeared before he could reach him, all he could hear was his laugh, his cold and evil laugh.

"Stop just stop!" Rohan said, covering his ears and falling to his knees, "Shanaya come back, I need you, please help me Shanaya, come back to me!".

"Shanaya won't come back brother".

"Arjun" Rohan whispered, looking up and seeing his brother standing over him.

"Shanaya's finally seen the poison in you, she's finally realised how toxic you are for her".

"No stop!" Rohan said, covering his ears, "I'm not poison, Shanaya said I'm not poison".

"She was naive then, now shes finally come to her senses" Ashok Nanda said, appearing next to Arjun.

"No!, just go, get away from me!".

"Look how pathetic you are Rohan, this is why Arjun's always been my favourite son, his never been weak like you".

Rohan looked at his father with eyes full of fury, "I'm not weak".

"Yes you are brother, even Shanaya saw it which is why she left you".

"No, she didn't leave me, she promised she wouldn't leave".

Suddenly Abhi appeared next to Ashok and Arjun, "Shanaya is now mine, I have won Rohan, I won and you lost".

"Rohan", Rohan turned around to see Shanaya standing behind him, "You broke me Rohan, and now you have to live without me".

"Shanaya!", Rohan woke up suddenly, his heart beating rapidly, his body full of sweat and his eyes full of tears.

"Rohan?", Shanaya ran out of the bathroom hearing Rohan shout her name.

"Shanaya!", Rohan jumped out of bed and ran to Shanaya, hugging her tightly, "Your here, you didn't leave me, your not with Abhi".

Shanaya rubbed Rohan's back trying to calm him down, even though she's confused by his words she wanted to make sure he was okay before she asked him any questions, "Shh Rohan I'm right here, I didn't leave, why would you think I left?".

Rohan hugged Shanaya tightly, "I had a horrible dream, a dream in which you left me".

"Want to talk about it?".

Rohan shook his head, he didn't want to relive the horrible dream, he didn't want to remember Shanaya leaving him, "No, just let me hug you please, I need to know this isn't a dream".

"This isn't a dream Rohan, I'm right here, I'll always be here".

Rohan didn't say anything just stood there hugging Shanaya, trying to find some peace. This dream made Rohan realise the real consequence of his actions, right now he was enjoying his last hug with Shanaya, because he knew as long as his in Shanaya's life all she will receive is pain, before she finds out the truth about the bet Rohan is going to do something, something that will make Shanaya hate him forever, but it will reduce her pain when she finds out about bet, and thats all that matters.

Shanaya let Rohan hug her as long as he wanted, but she couldn't help but be worried. Something was seriously wrong with him, something that was slowly breaking him apart, and to make things worse he won't even open up to her. Before Shanaya was going to slowly make Rohan open up to her, but now it was going to far, she needed to take immediate action.

"Here is your black coffee and my hot chocolate", Shanaya placed the black coffee in front of a very tired Rohan.

"Shanaya why are we at Rocky Cafe, we should be going back to collage".

"Rohan I knew you wouldn't have breakfast with your family and I didn't want you to starve so I bought you here to eat breakfast with me before we go back to collage".

"You don't need to be my mother Shanaya".

Rohan's tone scared Shanaya, it was so cold and distant. After hugging Shanaya for a bit Rohan pushed him self away from her, the vulnerability Shanaya once saw in Rohan's face was no longer there, instead his face no longer showed any emotion, it didn't even show sadness let alone vulnerability, all of a sudden he was an emotionless person, it was almost like his body was here but his soul was lost.

"Why are you acting like this Rohan?".

Rohan stared at his black coffee, not looking towards Shanaya even once, "Acting like what?".

"Acting so cold and rude, come on Rohan please open up to me, maybe I can help you".

Rohan looked into Shanaya's eyes, and for a minute Shanaya wanted to back down and just let Rohan be, because when Rohan looked into Shanaya's eyes, all Shanaya saw was hatred and anger, his eyes that once used to shine when looking at her were now full of rage, rage Shanaya never saw in him before, it was like her Rohan was gone and the person in front of her was someone completely different , but Shanaya knew she couldn't leave Rohan alone, right now he needed her more than anything, she couldn't leave now.

"I don't want your help Shanaya, if you want to help me then do me a favour and stop treating me like I'm your science experiment, stop thinking I need you to survive cause guess what I don't, stop expecting me to open up to you, why would I open up to someone who means nothing to me".

Rohan's words cut through Shanaya's heart, she didn't know if he was telling the truth or not, all she knows is that his words hurt her, and the worst part was he didn't even look apologetic.

"Your not a experiment to me Rohan how could even think like that, Rohan your really important to me and I can't see you like this".

"You can't see me be me?".

Now Shanaya was angry, she was angry with Rohan's attitude, she was angry with his comments, most of all she was angry with him not opening up to her.

"This is not you Rohan, and you also know that".

Rohan stood up from his seat furious and slammed his hands on the table, catching everyone's attention, "This is me Shanaya this is the real me, the Rohan you knew was fake, before you came in my life I was like this lifeless and cold, but then you came and the fake Rohan Nanda came out trying to fucking please the great Shanaya Singhania, because of which my life got ruined, you ruined my life Shanaya, you ruined me by letting me feel for you, so if you want to help then just leave my life, leave and never look back!".

After his rant Rohan left the Cafe, leaving behind a devastated Shanaya. Shanaya didn't know if she should be happy because Rohan just confessed he has feelings for her or should she be sad that he wants her to leave his life.

Shanaya wiped her tears and got up from her seat, determination shown clearly in her eyes. Rohan doesn't want Shanaya in her life but Shanaya wants Rohan, she doesn't know what happened in one night but she knows she won't let Rohan leave her, shes not going to let Rohan walk away, not this time.

"Time to bring my Rohan back".

After the whole Rocky Cafe incident, Shanaya was now back at St Teresa, slowly walking back to her dorm, while on a group call with Jeet and Rhea.

"That is such a lie Shanaya, Rohan lied to you his never been cold and lifeless, yeah his been rude, a heart breaker, St Teresa's bad boy, but his never been cold, despite everything his family did and said to him Rohan always managed to push through it, he is the bad boy thats always been full of life, despite him not being my proper friend he always helped me out, even Rhea can back me up on this".

"Jeet's right Shanaya, Rohan is definitely going through something, something he doesn't want you to find out about, and in order to push you away from him his lying to you, I never talked to Rohan before you came to St Teresa, but even from far away anyone could easily see he was a bad boy that knows how to live his life to the fullest, every now and then I used to hear Rohan's followers talk about him indirectly helping them, Shanaya something doesn't add up here".

"Trust me, you both don't need to tell me this, I told you all that so when you both came back you won't get confused with Rohan's cold behaviour".

"We appreciate that Shanaya, but what are you going to do till we get back?".

"I don't know Jeet, all I know is that I'm not going to leave Rohan alone, I'm scared he will do something stupid in his anger".

Jeet and Rhea both gave Shanaya a sad smile, they could tell Rohan's words hurt Shanaya way more than she shows, but for Rohan she will push through the pain.

"Shanaya if you don't mind then can I ask you a question?".

"Jeet you don't have to ask, just shoot it".

"Its a bit personal, and I know its really not my business but..."

Rhea knew what Jeet wanted to ask Shanaya, it was the same thing she wanted to ask, but listening to Jeet's words Rhea knew he won't be able to ask her, so she took things in her own hands.

"What Jeet's trying to ask is, are you in love with Rohan?".

Rhea's question caught Shanaya off guard, if she's totally honest then the seven days without Rohan made Shanaya come to the realisation Rohan had come to last night, she was in love with Rohan, she missed him so much, all their memories flashed in front of her eyes twenty four seven, without him their was a huge hole in her heart that only he manged to fill. But she didn't want to tell anyone before she told Rohan, but from the looks of things, Shanaya has to tell Jeet and Rhea before Rohan.

"Yes".

Rhea and Jeet looked at Shanaya in happiness, they were happy for many reasons. Shanaya loved Rohan and let's face it they know Rohan loves Shanaya, meaning Rohan's bet is complete without Shanaya getting hurt, Shanaya and Rohan can be together without Abhi ruining their relationship, but little did they know.

Rhea smirked at Shanaya, she wasn't going to accept a yes, she wanted the full confession, "Yes what Shanaya?".

Shanaya glared at Rhea, knowing fully well what she's up to, "You know what".

Jeet caught on what Rhea was trying to make Shanaya say, so he decided to join in, "We really don't".

"Fuck off".

"Shanaya if your not able to say it to us then how are you going to tell Rohan?".

"Rhea what makes you think I'm going to tell Rohan?".

Rhea narrowed her eyes at Shanaya, "If you don't say it then you don't feel it".

"Thats not how it works".

"Shanaya.."

"Fine!" Shanaya said, taking a breath deep, "I'm in love with Rohan, do you hear me, I Shanaya Singhania is in love with Rohan Nanda".

"Your in love with Rohan?", Shanaya turned around to face the voice, and when she saw the person, she wanted to slap herself for being so loud, this was going to be bad.

"Abhi", Not wanting Rhea to say something sarcastic or rude to Abhi, Shanaya muted Jeet and Rhea so she can't hear them but they can hear her.

"How could you be in love with Rohan Shanaya?".

"Abhi listen I know his your rival and..."

"This isn't about him being my rival!", Abhi's yell scared Shanaya, right now Abhi reminded Shanaya a lot like Rohan, whenever both of them got angry no one could stop them from exploding, "This is about you choosing Rohan over me, this is about you being so blind to my feelings and falling for that asshole".

Shanaya looked at Abhi in shock, she was slowly understanding why Rohan wanted her to make it clear to Abhi that they are only friends, "Abhi what are you saying?".

"Oh come on Shanaya!" Abhi said, slamming Shanaya to the nearest well, "How blind are you, how could you not see my love for you, I have loved you since we were children, but you never loved me instead you fell for the guy whose bound to break your heart".

At this point both Shanaya and Abhi were crying, Abhi because he lost his love and Shanaya because she's about to lose her best friend.

"Abhi I'm really sorry, I never realised..."

"How would you realise Shanaya, you saw everyone's pain except mine, you don't even realise how much it hurt me to see you and that asshole together".

"Abhi please, your angry with me and I deserve it for not realising your feelings, but don't say anything to Rohan, he didn't know anything Abhi, and we both couldn't help but fall for each other".

"His not in love with you Shanaya!".

Shanaya frowned, she knew Abhi was hurting but she didn't like him deciding whether Rohan loved her or not, "Look Abhi I know your hurt, but you can't say if Rohan loves me or not".

"But I can Shanaya!, Rohan doesn't love you he played you because he wanted to win the bet".

The bet. First Rohan and now Abhi, whenever the bet was mentioned Shanaya's heart started beating hard, why does she feel like this bet will ruin people, will ruin her.

"What bet Abhi?".

"Before you came to St Teresa Rohan found out that I'm in love with you, so he decided to make you fall for him and then break your heart because he knew it will kill me to see you heart broken, but I found out about his plans and when I went to confront him he forced me to accept a bet, in which if you fall for me he won't break your heart, but if you fall for him he will use you then dump you, like all his other girls".

He will use you then dump you. After hearing Abhi's words, Shanaya went numb, everyone around her faded, there was only one thing in her mind, Rohan broke her trust, he chose Rivalry Over Love.
