After being announced Prom King and Queen, both Rohan and Shanaya were now silently walking to Shanaya's dorm room, the silence wasn't awkward it was peaceful, both thinking about the events that had occurred at prom. 

Shanaya was happy that not only had she won Prom Queen, but she had also managed to win her bad boy back. Her bad boy, that does have a nice ring to it doesn't it. 

Rohan was also extremely happy, Shanaya had managed to hurt him but then she was the one who healed him, looking at the girl next to him Rohan was slowly but surely coming to terms with his feelings, he was coming to terms with the fact that this girl was way more than just a friend, just like Dean had said, she is special to him.

"I choose you".

Rohan looked at Shanaya in confusion, not knowing what she chose him for. 

"For what Shanaya?".

Shanaya and Rohan reached Shanaya's dorm room, and Shanaya walked closer to where Rohan was standing, "You told me that I can't have both you and Abhi, and truth be told I don't want both of you, its true I want Abhi in my life but not like I want you, would I like to have both of you in my life, yes I would, but if I had to chose between you two, I would choose you in a heartbeat".

Rohan looked at Shanaya in admiration, his heart was racing at an abnormal pace hearing her words, "You don't have to choose between us Shanaya".

"But Rohan you said...".

"I know what I said Shanaya, and honestly if you hadn't apologised to me in front all these people today then I would have made you choose between me and Abhi, but now I know what my place is in your life so I won't ask you to choose between us because thats not fair on you".

Shanaya smiled at Rohan's words and without saying anything just wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, "You know your really not the bad boy".

Rohan wrapped his arms around Shanaya and smiled, "I'm not the bad boy only for you".

Both Rohan and Shanaya stayed in the hug for a while, both enjoying the feeling of being in each other's arms. 

"Aww, you guys make my single heart so jealous".

Rohan and Shanaya broke the hug to face the owner of the voice.

"What the fuck do you want Jeet?".

"You are so happy seeing me here aren't you Ro, but to answer your question I'm here because since its the second weekend you know the one where most of us go home, which is why Rhea has left and she didn't take her clothes with her, so she told me to get the keys from Shanaya and bring her luggage to her house, its the queen's order so how can I refuse, also she would have murdered me if I refused, so please give me the keys Shanaya even I want to go home".

"I don't have the keys though".

"Then who has the keys?".

"No one has the keys Jeet, my keys are inside I forgot its the second weekend, I was relying on Rhea to open the door for me".

Rohan rolled his eyes at Shanaya's stupidity, why was this such a Shanaya thing.

"But Shanaya where are you going to go now?".

"I don't know, maybe I'll stay with someone else".

"But Shanaya most students are gone home, it will be hard to find a dorm to stay in".

Shanaya frowned, she can really be stupid at times, "Don't worry about it, you both go home I will think of something".

This time Rohan frowned, there was no way he was leaving Shanaya alone, there was one way Rohan could ensure Shanaya was safe and had a place to stay. 

"Shanaya your coming with me".

Jeet and Shanaya both looked at Rohan in shock, Jeet knew the shit Rohan's family gives him which is why he hated going there let alone take one of his friends to meet them, and in the past two months Shanaya had also learnt how much Rohan hated talking about his family, she never asked him why all she knew was that if you don't want Rohan to get angry at you then don't at any cost talk about his family, every time Rohan came back to collage from his house he was always a ticking time bomb, its takes him a while to get back to his normal self.

"Rohan its okay, I will be fine here".

"Shanaya I forgot I gave you a choice, I'm going to get my spare clothes from my dorm, in five minutes meet me at my car".

Rohan left after ordering Shanaya to meet him at his car. Jeet and Shanaya just stood there in shock, looking at each other with the same look, both of them knew this wasn't going to end well, specially if Rohan loses his cool, which he most likely will. 

"I wish you luck Shanaya".

The drive to the Nanda Mansion was quiet and tense, Rohan was holding the steering wheel very tightly causing his knuckles to nearly go white. 

"Rohan you didn't need to do this, I would've been fine".

"Shanaya don't take this the wrong way but please don't talk, I'm really not in the proper mind state to talk nicely to you right now".

Shanaya knew how hard it was for Rohan to go home, she doesn't know why but it just was. She knew the closer they got to his house the more tense he got, and that made her extremely worried, she wanted to ask him whats wrong but she also doesn't want to make him anymore tense than he already is, so she decided to leave it for now. 

After what seemed like forever, Rohan finally pulled up to the Nanda Mansion. Getting out of the car Shanaya couldn't help but be awe of the huge mansion in front of her, it was huge and it was beautiful.

"Wow this is so beautiful".

Rohan rolled his eyes at Shanaya's words, "Don't be mistaken by the outside of this house, from the inside this house is nothing but cold and dark, just like the people who live in it".

"What.."

"Come on let's go we need to sneak in the house quietly, try not to make any noise and stay close to me its going to be dark inside".

"Why do we have to sneak in though?".

"I'll rather you not meet my family Shanaya".

Shanaya frowned at Rohan's words, before she can ask him why, Rohan held her hand tightly and slowly entered the house. 

Just as Rohan and Shanaya were about to climb the massive stairs up to Rohan's room, the lights in the hallway suddenly turned on. 

"Sneaking in again brother?".

Rohan turned around to face his older brother, making sure to stand in front of Shanaya in a protective way, which didn't get unnoticed by his brother. 

"Fuck off Arjun".

"Now now Rohan, don't say such foul words in front of such a pretty lady.

Arjun's eyes wondered from Shanaya's head to her legs, he was checking her out. His gaze made Shanaya extremely uncomfortable causing her pull her dress down, trying to cover her legs.

"Keep your filthy eyes here Arjun".

Arjun smirked seeing Rohan's protectiveness, "Oh come on Ro, share with your brother sometimes, after your done with her give her to me, I will also give her a good time".

"Arjun!", Rohan grabbed his brother's collars and punched him on his nose, "Don't look or speak to Shanaya, next time I won't punch you I will straight out kill you".

"How fucking dare you!", Arjun punched Rohan back, "Who is this girl to you Rohan for who you are hitting your own brother".

"I don't have a fucking brother!".

While Arjun and Rohan were fighting in the hallway with a scared Shanaya standing in the corner, Rohan's parents Ashok Nanda and Amrita Nanda came to the hall hearing all the commotion.

"Rohan!" Ashok said, coming in between Arjun and Rohan, "What is this behaviour Rohan, your a Nanda not a street side goon".

"Why do you see what I did, can't you see what your favourite son did". 

"What did he do?".

"He fucking talked shit about Shanaya".

After Rohan said that, it was then Ashok had seen a scared Shanaya standing behind Rohan.

"And who are you young lady".

"She's..."

"I didn't ask you Rohan".

Rohan clenched his fists tightly, he really hated being here.

"I'm Shanaya".

"And may I ask what your doing in my house?".

"Actually sir, I had forgotten my keys in my dorm and my roommate went home, so Rohan bought me here for the night".

"I'll be careful around him Shanaya his poison, he will poison your life and slowly but surely kill you".

Arjun's words made Shanaya frown, it was now time to speak up, she could tolerate people speaking against her but never Rohan.

"With all due respect Arjun, Rohan isn't poison his the opposite of poison, his the cure, a guy like him is very rare to find, Rohan helps everyone in need he even stands by people who he hates, he makes sure all the people he cares for are safe and happy, his the type of person who chases his dreams but also helps others achieve their dreams, poison doesn't do that Arjun". 

Hearing Shanaya's words the whole Nanda clan was speechless some were embarrassed, others were in awe. 

"Don't encourage his stupid dream Shanaya, he has no future if he keeps following that stupid Rockstar dream".

"Your wrong sir, if you were to ask me which of your two sons will make you the proudest I will easily say Rohan, you should hear his voice and the way he handles instruments its honestly magical, mark my words sir Rohan will because the number one Rockstar in this world, you need to see his potential sir because trust me he has a lot, you should be proud of him not taunt him like this".

Hearing Shanaya, both Arjun and Ashok were embarrassed, they couldn't believe a stranger was defending Rohan like this. Not wanting to be near Rohan and Shanaya any longer both the father and son duo left to their respective rooms.

Hearing Shanaya's words Rohan was speechless, no one has ever defended him like this, not even his mother. Everyday Shanaya surprised Rohan more and more, everyday she made him feel more and more guilty about the bet. 

Amrita looked at Shanaya with a proud expression, she was never able to protect Rohan from Ashok and Arjun's taunts, but she was extremely happy to see someone in Rohan's life who defended him from the people who underestimated his talent, who underestimated Rohan. 

"Rohan take Shanaya to the guest room".

Rohan just nodded in response, he didn't know what to say anymore. Rohan signalled Shanaya to follow him upstairs, Shanaya quietly followed Rohan to the guest room knowing he was angry after whatever happened, she didn't want to make him any more angry.

"Here is the guest room, don't wander around go straight to sleep, I know your tired after tonight so just relax and sleep".

"Rohan about downstairs.."

"Shanaya I'm very tired I'll see you in the morning, good night".

Rohan's distanced behaviour was concerning Shanaya, the prom Rohan and this Rohan seem like two completely different people, right now it seems like even though his near Shanaya his still far far away from her, and the more Shanaya tries to go to him the more his drifting away, how can someone change so much in a matter of hours, his family really did mess with his mental health. 

Reaching his room, Rohan immediately went to the mini fridge in his room and grabbed himself a beer and went to the balcony. Hearing Shanaya's words, seeing Shanaya's actions and the way his heart pounded against his chest whenever she came near him was helping Rohan realise the biggest truth of his life.

Rohan closed his eyes and started remembering all his and Shanaya's moments.

He remembered when he decided to make her fall in love with him before even meeting her just so he can hurt Abhi. "I'm going to steal Shanaya from Abhi, I'm going to make her fall for me".

He remembered when he first met Shanaya. Rohan bumped into someone, making him fall on top of that person. Rohan looked at the person to scream at them, but he stopped seeing the girl in front of him, "Wow".

He remembered the day when he saw Shanaya in Tanya, while he was making out with her. "Rohan" Tanya moaned. "Shanaya" Rohan whispered". 

He remembered the first time he experienced jealously. Rohan came behind Shanaya, turned her to face him, and hugged her, catching Shanaya off guard. "Well someone missed me" Shanaya said, relaxing into the hug. "Its been to long" Rohan complained, not leaving Shanaya. "Abhi, didn't see you there" Rohan lied, he had seen Shanaya and Abhi hug which is why the jealous Rohan came out.

He remembered Shanaya protecting him. "Rohan!" Abhi yelled, lifting his hand to punch Rohan, but failed when Shanaya held his hand preventing him from hitting Rohan.

He remembered their first slow dance in Thailand.

He remembered them confessing about the unknown feelings in their heart for each other. "Do you feel it?". "Yeah".

He remembered their first proper fight. "Just shut up Shanaya just shut up, I want to be your first choice not second, you can't have both me and Abhi this isn't some stupid TV show its real life, you will have to chose between us because I don't like sharing you with Abhi and neither does he, either give up on me or make it clear to Abhi that your only his friend".

He remembered Shanaya proving to him she cares. "The truth is in my life there is no one above you...I needed you to know how much you mean to me...but I promise I will never hurt you again".

And now he will always remember Shanaya shutting his dad and brother up by supporting him.

"I'm in love with Shanaya".

Saying it out loud just made it more real, Rohan Nanda was officially in love with Shanaya Singhania.

After coming to the realisation of his love, Rohan's head started spinning, he couldn't be in love with her, he couldn't love the girl he would eventually end up hurting.

Rohan smashed the now empty beer bottle on the floor, "Fuck!".

Rohan sat on the floor with his head on his knees, he messed up falling for Shanaya.

Suddenly there was a hand on Rohan's shoulder, "Rohan whats wrong?".

Looking up, Rohan saw Shanaya standing above him. Looking at Rohan, Shanaya was shocked, his hair was a mess, his eyes were bloodshot red, and his hand was bleeding. Around him she saw at least six beer bottles, all empty, all of which he drank while remembering his and Shanaya's moments, he was beyond drunk. 

"Rohan whats wrong?".

Seeing Shanaya in his room, Rohan quickly stood up and pushed her away from him, "Stay away from me Shanaya, don't come near me".

"Rohan listen.."

"No Shanaya, don't come near me, I'm poison I will end up killing you". 

"Rohan thats not true".

Shanaya attempted to go closer to Rohan, but he kept stepping back.

"I said don't come near me!".

"Rohan listen to me".

"No!" Rohan said, falling on his knees, "Don't come near me Shanaya I will only hurt you, my fire will burn you, the poison in me will kill you".

Seeing Rohan like this, so broken, so hurt, broke Shanaya's heart, she doesn't know whats wrong, why his acting like this, but she knows she won't leave him, she will fix this.

"Rohan" Shanaya whispered, going down to him and hugging him tightly. 

At first Rohan tried to get out of the hug, he tried to push Shanaya away, but Shanaya refused to let go of him. Eventually all the fight in Rohan was gone, he no longer had any energy left in him, so instead he hugged Shanaya back tightly, he was hurting Shanaya but she didn't care, all she cared about right now was Rohan.

"Don't hate me Shanaya, please don't hate me".

"Rohan I will never hate you".

Shanaya was confused with Rohan's words, she didn't know if it was the alcohol or was it his inner turmoil speaking. 

"You will Shanaya, you will, I'm a horrible person".

Shanaya hugged Rohan even more tightly, if that was even possible, she was trying to reduce his pain.

"Your not a horrible person Rohan, don't ever say that again".

"But its the truth, Arjun is right if you don't leave now, you will end up getting hurt".

"Rohan I'm not leaving, end of discussion".

"You will leave Shanaya, you will leave once you find out about the bet".
