One Month Later, 

"Shanaya!" Rhea yelled, barging into her and Shanaya's dorm room.

"Why the hell are you shouting for women" Shanaya said covering her ears.

"Miss Shanaya Singhania prom was just announced, how are you not shouting?" Rhea asked, wondering how can someone not be excited for prom.

"I am excited" Shanaya lied, giving Rhea a small smile.

"No your not" Rhea stated, "Let me guess, your upset because lover boy and mister best friend is not going to prom".

"Rhea both of them straight out refused to go" Shanaya complained, "Abhi still isn't over Priya Ma's death, which is obviously understandable, but stupid Rohan Nanda, his excuse of not going to prom is that his allergy to it". 

"But your going to prom right?" Rhea asked, narrowing her eyes at Shanaya.

"I can't go without them, at least one of them needs to come with me" Shanaya complained.

"Well they aren't" Rhea said bluntly, "So guess what, you need to get over it and either go to prom alone, or find someone else to be your date, because there is no way I'm letting you miss prom".

"No" Shanaya said, confusing Rhea.

"No what?" Rhea asked. 

"I mean there's no way Abhi and Rohan aren't going to prom" Shanaya said, determination clearly shown in her voice. 

"What are you planning Singhania?" Rhea asked, narrowing her eyes at the girl in front of her. 

"Shanaya Singhania, as in me, as in your best friend, is going to convince her best friend and her bad boy to go to prom" Shanaya said, excitement shown clearly in her voice.

"Her bad boy?" Rhea said, giving Shanaya a mischievous smirk. 

"Go fuck yourself" Shanaya said, giving Rhea the middle finger. 

"Your spending to much time with Rohan, your talking his language" Rhea teased, making Shanaya roll her eyes, "Also Miss Singhania, if you convince both of them to go to prom, then both of them would want to go with you, so the question here is, who is Shanaya Singhania going to take to prom if she manages to convince the two boys, who by the way are obsessed with her".

"First of all they aren't obsessed with me" Shanaya said, ignoring Rhea's are you kidding me look, "Second of all, now you put it that way, I'm starting to question my plan".

"Well think of another plan, otherwise get ready to go to prom without your best friend and your bad boy" Rhea said, emphasising on your bad boy. 

Ignoring Rhea, Shanaya sat on her bed and started working her brain, she started thinking about all the shows she watched and what the protagonist in every show did in such situations, because lets face in every show there's at least one love triangle. 

"Idea!" Shanaya yelled jumping up from her bed, her watching numerous shows have finally paid off, she has gotten the perfect idea.

Shanaya's yell startled Rhea, resulting in her dropping her phone on the ground, "Jesus christ women, this idea better be good, I dropped my phone for it".

"Rhea have you watched Vampire Diaries?" Shanaya asked, confusing Rhea.

"What does Vampire Diaries have to do with our prom?" Rhea asked, wondering if Shanaya's brain is okay. 

"In Vampire Diaries, Stefan and Damon both took Elena to prom" Shanaya stated.

Rhea finally realised what Vampire Diaries had to do with their prom, "Shanaya no, thats an horrible idea, they will never agree to this".

"Rhea this is a great idea, I will somehow convince them, I think I'm pretty convincing when I try to be" Shanaya said excitedly, Rhea face palmed at Shanaya's response.

"Shanaya are you not listening to me" Rhea said annoyed, "You can't convince two rivals to go to prom together".

"Damon and Stefan always fought as well, yet they went to prom together, just for Elena" Shanaya argued. 

"Damon and Stefan were brothers women, they fought, but they always had each others back!" Rhea yelled, "Rohan and Abhi are rivals who hate each other's guts, I bet you if there was a chance that one of them could kill the other, they would take it".

"Rhea this plan is set, whatever happens, happens" Shanaya stated, not backing out of her plan. 

Rhea wanted to slap Shanaya across the head, hoping something would go into her brain and she would see how bad this idea is.

"All I know is that Damon and Stefan took Elena to prom, and now Shanaya is going to take Rohan and Abhi to prom".

Despite Rhea's constant warning about her plan being shit and how much trouble its going to cause her, Shanaya refused to back down from it, she couldn't let Abhi and Rohan miss out on one of the best events known to man kind, which is why she was now on her way to Abhi's dorm room, she knew convincing Abhi would be much easier than convincing Rohan, Abhi would be angry but not more than Rohan.

Coming up to Abhi's dorm, Shanaya saw the door was slightly open so she just went in without knocking. Entering his dorm, Shanaya saw Abhi sitting on his bed, starring at a photo of him and Priya. After Priya's death Abhi had isolated himself, he only talked to Rajat and sometimes Shanaya, he no longer tried to separate Rohan and Shanaya, all he did was stare at Priya's photo, almost hoping she would magically come back alive. 

"Priya Ma wouldn't be happy right now Abhi" Shanaya said, sitting in front of him. 

"What?" Abhi asked confused, not knowing what Shanaya was talking about.

"She's looking down at her son, and all she sees is him in his room, starring at her photo, and just putting his life on hold", Shanaya hoped her words would have an effect on Abhi, she hopes he would get his life back on track because Abhi would never want his mother to be unhappy, specially because of him. 

"What do you want me to do Shanaya?" Abhi snapped, "Do you want me to forget about my dead mother just so I can entertain you?".

"Abhi I don't want you to entertain me, and I'm not telling you to forget Priya Ma, I can't forget her so how can I expect you to forget her, all I'm saying is don't stop your life, seeing you like this won't make Priya Ma happy, it will only hurt her Abhi, and I know you will never do anything in your life to hurt Priya Ma, so please Abhi do me a favour and please come to prom with me". 

Abhi thought about Shanaya's words, he never in his life would want his mother to be unhappy because of him, maybe it was time to get on with his life, if he wanted to make his mother proud he can't stay like a zombie, and the perfect way to get his life back on track is by going to prom with Shanaya. 

"You and me go to prom together?" 

Abhi looked at Shanaya in suspicious, for some reason he didn't believe Shanaya would choose him over Rohan as her date to prom. 

"Yes Abhi, you and me at prom, together, are you in or not?".

"Why are you asking me Shanaya, did Rohan say no to you?".

Shanaya knew now was the time she tells Abhi about her going to prom with both him and Rohan, she was honestly scared of his reaction. 

"Not entirely, look Abhi, what I'm about to say might sound extremely ridiculous, it is pretty ridiculous, but you need to listen to me with a open mind". 

Shanaya's words confused the hell out of Abhi, "I am so confused right now Shanaya, I have no idea what your on about".

"Okay so basically Rohan's not going to prom because apparently his allergy to it".

Rohan not coming to prom made Abhi extremely happy, this could be his golden chance of getting closer to Shanaya, maybe even help him win the bet. 

"Thats unfortunate" Abhi said sarcastically, "So I guess its just going to be just me and you".

"Yeah no, this is where your going to have to be open minded, you and Rohan both weren't going to prom so I decided to make a plan to make sure you both go to prom, then Rhea made a point saying if I convince both of you to go then I will have to choose between you two, and you know me I don't deal with hard choices, so I made a plan".

Abhi's heart sank immediately after listening to Shanaya's words, first of all she wanted Rohan to come to prom as well not only him, second of all he knows most of the time Shanaya's plans are shit, he doesn't want to know what shit plan she has today. 

"What plan did you make Shanaya?".

"Abhi remember in Vampire Diaries, how Damon and Stefan both took Elena to prom?".

Abhi looked at Shanaya in shock, he realised what Shanaya's plan was, and just like Rhea he was seriously questioning the way her brain works. 

"No absolutely not, you have lost your mind Shanaya".

"Abhi please, I don't want either of you to miss prom, please just say yes".

"No means no, I will gladly miss prom if it means me not seeing Rohan's face".

Shanaya realised she had to take a drastic step to convince Abhi otherwise there is no way he will go to prom, she decided to take a page out of Abhi's book, time to emotional blackmail.

"Abhi if you are stubborn than so am I, listen to me loud and clear, either I go to prom with you and Rohan or I don't go to prom at all".

Now Abhi was in a dilemma, ever since they were little Shanaya had always expressed how much she loves prom, he couldn't let her miss prom because of him, he loves Shanaya way more than he hates Rohan. 

"Your evil Shanaya".

"So is that a yes?".

"Fine I will go, but if Rohan tries to mess with me, then whatever happens will be on you not me".

Shanaya hugged Abhi in excitement, "Thank you so much for agreeing Abhi".

Abhi hugged Shanaya back tightly, it has been way too long since they hugged and he was going to relish this hug as long as he can, "Your welcome Shanaya".

Convincing Abhi was hard but Shanaya managed to do it, now it was time to convince the most stubborn person in this world, convincing Abhi was pretty hard, Shanaya doesn't even want to know whats going to happen with Rohan, shes just hoping he won't get too angry with her.

"I knew I will find you here" Tanya said, entering the music room. 

"Tanya leave, I'm not in the mood to deal with you right now", Rohan really didn't want to talk to Tanya, hell he wasn't in the mood to talk to anymore right now, he just wanted to be alone with his music and maybe a certain brunette girl. 

"I'll leave, but not before asking you to go to prom with me". 

Rohan glared at Tanya, he couldn't believe this girl, despite him rejecting her so many times she still had the guts to ask him to prom. 

"I'm not going to prom so you can fuck off".

"Oh come on Rockstar, I know for a fact your Shanaya hasn't asked you to prom, I just saw her asking Abhi to it, meaning you don't have date".

Rohan looked at Tanya in shock, he couldn't believe Shanaya asked Abhi to prom and not him, he knows he told her he doesn't do prom, but he expected her to convince him, not go off with Abhi. 

"Your lying Tanya all you do is lie, why the hell would I believe you".

"I'm not lying this time I promise, face it Rohan your always going to be Shanaya's second choice, Abhi is always going to be her first choice never you".

Tanya's words made Rohan's head hurt, he refused to believe he was Shanaya's second choice, did Shanaya really prefer Abhi over him, was he a fool to get so attached to someone who will never get attached to him the way he is to her. 

"Come on Rohan just come to prom with me, I'm your only choice".

Before Rohan could tell Tanya off and let her know Rohan Nanda can go to prom with any girl he wants, someone else came to his rescue.

"Your not his only choice Tanya, Rohan is going to prom with me and not you".

Looking at the door, Rohan couldn't help but smile, he knew Tanya was lying, there is no way Shanaya would ask Abhi to prom. 

"What the fuck are you doing here Shanaya, your going to prom with Abhi so leave Rohan to me and go back to your lover boy".

"Abhi is not her lover boy, don't ever call him her lover boy".

Hearing Rohan's words, Shanaya's heart couldn't help but pound rapidly in her chest, anyone could easily detect the jealousy in Rohan's voice, this might be weird but Shanaya really enjoyed jealous Rohan. 

"Tanya leave, I have something to talk about with my prom date and your not invited to stay".

Tanya glared at Shanaya in anger, she hated her guts and she hated her closeness with Rohan. Tanya left the music room quietly without any drama, let's just say it was the calm before the storm she was going to bring in soon. 

After Tanya left, Rohan turned around and hugged Shanaya tightly in happiness, "I didn't believe Tanya when she said your going to prom with Abhi, I'm so happy I'm not your second choice". 

Shanaya suddenly felt extremely guilty, Rohan was so happy she chose him over Abhi and once he finds out about her plan his going to be devastated, his going to think his her second choice when he has always been her first choice. 

"Rohan I need to speak to you" Shanaya said, breaking the hug.

Looking at Shanaya's face, Rohan could tell there was something bothering her, "Shanaya whats wrong?".

"Rohan what I'm about to say is going to make you extremely angry, but please try to understand you and Abhi both refused to go to prom and I couldn't let that happen so I made a plan, Abhi has agreed to it, now I'm here to convince you".

Rohan's heart dropped, he was scared Tanya's words were about to come true, "What plan?".

"Rohan I'll be honest with you, I wanted to go to prom with you, but ever since Priya Ma's death Abhi has isolated himself from everyone, originally I was going to convince you to go to prom with me, but then Abhi also wasn't going to prom and I couldn't let that happen, and I knew I could convince Abhi to go to prom with me, so I convinced Abhi for prom and to be my date to it".

The look Rohan gave Shanaya made her heart break, he looked so upset, now Shanaya was regretting not listening to Rhea's words, until now she had no idea the impact her words and actions had on Rohan, why does she have to make sure everyone is happy, why couldn't she be selfish and think just about her and Rohan.

"So you lied, your not going to prom with me, Tanya was right, you are actually taking Abhi to prom, I am your second choice".

"No Rohan listen, we can still go to prom together". 

"No we can't Shanaya!", Shanaya wasn't going to lie, but Rohan's yell and the anger in his eyes scared her, she has never seen him like this before, "Your going with Abhi, you chose the guy who always hurts you over the guy who has vowed to protect you".

Shanaya looked down guilty, she knew Rohan was right but she couldn't see Abhi hurting, even after everything she still considers him her best friend, "Rohan please listen to me, I'm going to prom with you and Abhi".

Rohan looked at Shanaya in shock, "Have you lost your mind Shanaya?".

"No see, I was inspired by Vampire Diaries in which both Damon and Stefan took Elena to prom, so I decided to go to prom with both you and Abhi, this way Abhi will come out of his room and we also get to go prom together".

Rohan pushed Shanaya to the nearest wall, "This isn't some TV show Shanaya, this is real life, get your head out of you stupid fantasies!". 

"Rohan I just wanted..."

"Just shut up Shanaya just shut up, I want to be your first choice not second, you can't have both me and Abhi this isn't some stupid TV show its real life, you will have to chose between us because I don't like sharing you with Abhi and neither does he, either give up on me or make it clear to Abhi that your only his friend".

"Rohan please I..."

"I don't want to hear it Shanaya, hope you and Abhi enjoy prom together, because I'm not coming, not with you, not with Tanya, not with anyone".

Rohan left Shanaya alone in the music room and went to his dorm, he couldn't be near Shanaya, he was too angry and he was scared he might end up hurting Shanaya in his anger. 

After Rohan left, Shanaya slid down the wall and sat on the floor, she was regretting not listening to Rhea, she was right her plan was shit, she knew convincing Rohan would be hard but she didn't think she would end up hurting him so much. Shanaya couldn't help the tears from slipping, she wanted Abhi to get his life back, but she never wanted to hurt Rohan, she felt like a horrible person.

"I'm so sorry Rohan".
