"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the sangeet and mehndi ceremony of Anjali Malhotra and Nikhil Maheshwari" The hotel manager announced, coming up to the stage, "To start today's ceremony, two students from St Teresa will first be performing tonight, bringing the unique Bollywood flavor to this Thailand wedding".

The students of St Teresa looked at each other in confusion, wondering who out of them is performing tonight, they were not told about this at all. 

"Jeet where is Rhea and Shanaya?" Rohan asked, looking around for the girls. 

"I honestly don't know" Jeet replied, "You don't think the two students who are preforming from St Teresa are them, do you?".

"Honestly when it comes to them two, I don't know what to expect" Rohan said, shaking his head. 

"Ladies and gentleman, please put your hands together for Shanaya Singhania and Rhea Dialdas" The hotel manger said, shocking everyone except Rohan, he doesn't know why but he expected this, he was very intrigued to watch Shanaya's performance now. 

Suddenly all the lights turned off and two spotlights were on two girls standing on the stage, the girls turned around and they were obviously Shanaya and Rhea. 

Looking at Shanaya, Rohan couldn't help but be mesmerised by her, she was wearing the dress he chose for her, it was like the dress was made specially for Shanaya. Shanaya made eye contact with Rohan and winked at him, making Rohan smile ear to ear.

Both Rhea and Shanaya danced on Cham Cham, their energy and dance movements hyped everyone in the crowd, halfway through the song both Rohan and Jeet had also joined their performance, together all four of them created fire on stage, after their performance ended, everyone stood up from their seats and clapped, people were cheering, they were whistling, they were clapping, everyone was officially in the sangeet mood. 

"That was an amazing performance from the students of St Teresa" The manger said, "After such a hype performance, its now time for all the lovebirds in this room to come on the dance floor and slow dance with their respective partners". 

"You don't have a boyfriend and I don't have a Thailand girlfriend, so want to slow dance?" Jeet asked. 

"Well I don't see why not" Rhea answered, going to the dance floor with Jeet.

"Dance?" Shanaya asked, forwarding her hand to Rohan. 

"Thought you will never ask" Rohan replied, taking Shanaya to the dance floor.

Rohan wrapped his arm around Shanaya's waist and pulled her closer to him, leaving no space between the two, all while staring deep into her eyes.

Shanaya placed her hand on Rohan's shoulder, and couldn't help but get mesmerised by his eyes, she was captivated.

Shanaya put her head on Rohan's shoulder, and Rohan couldn't help but stare at her and wonder what was God thinking making such a beautiful and kind person, how did he come up with the idea of making this person, a person who was way to good for this world.

Rohan held one of Shanaya's hand and twirled her around, then pulled her back, with her back now touching his chest.

Being in Rohan's arms brought Shanaya this sense of peace that she could never explain even if she tried to, she was hoping that without her saying anything, Rohan somehow knew whats happening to her, what his doing to her.

Ever since Shanaya entered his life, Rohan could not look at any other girl, everywhere he went he saw Shanaya, St Teresa's playboy was no longer a playboy and it was all because of St Teresa's nerd.

At end of the song, Rohan twirled Shanaya around and dipped her down, everyone around them started clapping for all the couples on the dance floor, but Rohan and Shanaya were only aware of each other's presence, everyone around them had disappeared and in their world it was only them two, both unknown to the feeling in their hearts.

When the announcement for the slow dance was announced, Abhi immediately looked for Shanaya to dance with her, but when he saw her, he wanted to kill whoever thought slow dancing was a good idea, because as he was about to ask Shanaya to dance, he saw her asking Rohan for a dance.

After seeing about half of Rohan and Shanaya's dance, Abhi decided to leave, he couldn't stay there any longer, he couldn't see the love of his life in someone else's arms, it hurt his heart to much. 

Abhi left the wedding hall furious, he need to punch something, someone to be precise.

"Abhi!" Rajat yelled, following Abhi out of the hall, "Where are you going, the function isn't over yet".

"I'm not going back in there Rajat" Abhi said, walking to his room.

"Why not?" Rajat asked, walking besides Abhi.

"Rajat I'm not interested in seeing Shanaya in Rohan's arms".

"Abhi look.."

"Don't try to calm me down Rajat" Abhi snapped, "Did you like Rhea and Jeet dancing together, would you calm down after seeing Rhea in that assholes arms?".

Rajat looked away from Abhi, knowing he was right, seeing Rhea with Jeet made Rajat lose his mind, he knows he can't expect Abhi to calm down when himself has a storm building inside of him.

"You know what the worst part is" Abhi said, "Before whenever I used to give Shanaya something, she without any question used to take it, used to cherish it like it was the most special thing in the world, but now she has changed so much, did you know I gave her a dress to wear for tonight's function, and she didn't wear it, can you believe it Shanaya denied something Abhi gave her, whats happening Rajat".

"I don't know Abhi" Rajat replied honestly.

"Then who knows?" Abhi asked annoyed.

"Abhi listen" Rajat said slowly, knowing what his about to say will anger Abhi even more, "I think we should leave Jeet and Rohan alone and not do anything to separate them from Shanaya and Rhea".

"What!" Abhi yelled, looking at Rajat in anger, "Do you even realise what your saying Rajat, what happened to not going down without a fight".

"Abhi when I said that I was hurt from my break up with Rhea, my anger clouded my judgement" Rajat explained, "If we do something to Rohan and Jeet, and then Shanaya and Rhea find out, we will lose them forever, I rather have them in my life as friends, than not have them in my life at all".

"You have lost your mind" Abhi snapped, "I don't care if Shanaya and Rhea find out, we can win them back, but if Rohan and Jeet are still in their life, we can never have them, Rohan and Jeet need to go".

"Abhi..."

"Rajat you either support me, or don't do anything, I respect your choice, but don't expect me to forget or give up on Shanaya, I'm not as great as you to watch my love get taken by someone else" Abhi said, leaving Rajat behind. 

"Abhi your love for Shanaya will be the downfall for your and Shanaya's friendship" Rajat whispered to Abhi's retreating figure.

Back at the sangeet Rohan and Jeet were sitting at their table watching Rhea and Shanaya interact with the bride and groom, no one could tell that they just met them, it was like they have been friends forever. 

Recently Rohan has been thinking a lot about the bet, specially now with Abhi back in Shanaya's life, it was taking a toll on his mental health, he needed to tell someone, if he didn't spill he will lose his mind, and right now there was only one person he could think of telling. 

"I'm in love with Rhea", "I made a bet with Abhi to make Shanaya fall in love with me" Jeet and Rohan said simultaneously.

Both Rohan and Jeet looked at each other shocked, not believing what the other said. 

"Your in love with Rhea!", "You made a bet with Abhi!" Rohan and Jeet said simultaneously. 

"How long have you been in love with Rhea for?" Rohan asked shocked.

"Fuck that, you tell me how could you make a bet on Shanaya's heart" Jeet asked glaring at Rohan, "I thought you changed Ro".

"I didn't want to make a bet Jeet" Rohan said ashamed, "I was kind of provoked to accept it".

"What are you a child?" Jeet asked, "Explain how you got provoked Rohan".

Rohan then went on to explain to Jeet, how he went to go confront Abhi for hurting Shanaya, Abhi making the bet, him refusing, Abhi then provoking him by calling him a coward, then him accepting the bet. 

"Rohan your an idiot" Jeet said, putting his hands over his face, "What are you going to do now?".

"I don't know Jeet, I'm fucked up right now" Rohan said, looking at Shanaya, "I accepted the bet because of my own insecurities, and now no way in hell am I going to lose to Abhi, and its not only because of our rivalry, I don't want to leave Shanaya's life, but I know when Shanaya finds out about this bet, she will herself leave my life".

"Rohan are you in love with Shanaya?" Jeet asked, staring at Rohan and looking for his reaction.

"I don't know, I'm so confused" Rohan said, banging his head on the table.

"Your confused about Shanaya?".

"I'm confused about love" Rohan replied. 

Jeet wanted to slap his best friend across the face, the answer was right in front of his eyes and he claims his confused. Jeet looked back at the stage and made eye contact with Rhea, he realised he needed to take this in his own hands now, otherwise Abhi will manage to separate Rohan and Shanaya, so he signalled to Rhea that they need to talk.

p.s. If I was to take a estimate, I believe this book is half way done...yikes 😖. I had planned this book to have 30 chapters but it might have one or two more, still halfway done people, hope your enjoying this journey as much as I am😊.
