Chapter: 12

The feeling that you have, when you win something you were dying to conquer, is the most beautiful moment for any individual!

Sameer was in that beautiful moment, it's 4 AM but still there is no sign of slumber in his orbs which were stuck on the serene beauty lying next to him. He had hoped Naina would be able to break the outer shell soon but he didn't know that, that soon would come after just 3 days of the formation of their sacred bond. In just three days, not only the outer layer of Naina's shell broke but the pillow wall between both of them too broke. And both of these, were initiated by Naina!

Sameer started whispering to himself: Naina! Tumne mujhe jo surprise diya kal raat ko, main usse kabhi nahi bhul sakunga. One of the best moments of my life ❤️. I know tumhe mere saath fully comfortable aur mere upar pura confidence rakhne mein waqt lagega. Par main yeh bhi janta hun ki yeh waqt bahut jaldi bit jayega, and I will make sure that it happens. Bas itna chahta hun ki tumhare mann mein ab woh manhusiyat wali baat na aaye wapas. Tum wapas apne aap par bharosa kar sako. Ek baar tumhara khud par bharosa wapas aa jaye, phir sab kuch sahi ho jayega 😊.

Sameer's eyes fell on the wall clock and he realised that he has not slept for the whole night. He mentally slapped himself and was about cover the blanket on himself when something struck his mind and he picked up his phone. He was turning off all the alarms he had set as neither he nor Naina would be waking up that soon. He decided to do the same with Naina's phone too. He picked up her phone and saw a beautiful picture of hers with her parents as her lockscreen picture.

Sameer: Uss waqt Naina ki hasi uski aankhon tak pahunchti thi. Par ab, uski muskaan uske dil se nahi aati. I promise you Naina, aaj se balki issi pal se tumhare chehre par sirf muskaan hi rahegi, dil se aane wali muskaan. Ab udaas hone ka time gaya. Tumhara har sapna sach karne ka waada kiya hai maine khudse. Aur Sameer Maheshwari kabhi apna kiya waada nahi todta.

He turned off the alarms and slept after seeing Naina for the last time, and kissing her forehead.

It was when the sunrays entering the room fell on Naina's eyes, her beauty sleep got interrupted and she had to wake up. With an irritation she opened her eyes but soon her irritation changed into shock as the whole room was filled with baby pink and red balloons. Red, pink and yellow roses were stuck to each furniture.

Naina was flabbergasted seeing all the beautiful arrangements, but her eyes were searching for the person who would answer to her confusions and questions.

Naina: Sameer Ji!? Sameer Ji!?

There were no responses. So she decided to go out and search for him. When she took a step forward, some silver glitters and flower petals fell on her. She smiled seeing this arrangement and had taken another step when she felt something under her feet. She moved aside a bit and saw a pink color folded paper. She picked it up and read the content.

Morning beautiful!
Main janta hun ki tum yeh saari decorations aur arrangements dekhke thodi confused hogi, aur mujhe dhundh bhi rahi hogi apne sawalon ke jawab ke liye.....
Thodi der aur sabr kar lo. Main haveli ke garden hun. Tum jaldi se fresh hoke aa jao. Main aur mere jawab tumhara intezaar kar rahe hai.

Tumhara naya aur lifetime ke liye dost ❤️
Sameer Ji (Though I really want you to call me Sameer only, but jab tak tum mujhe khudse Sameer nahi bulati tab tak main tumhara Sameer Ji hi thik hun 😊)

Naina chuckled reading the last few sentences, and folded the paper neatly and kept it on the side table under the table lamp. She quickly freshened up and combed her hair. Checking herself for the last time, she left after closing the door.

A wooden dinner table was placed right at the centre of the green carpet of grasses in the lawn. She couldn't see the contents of the table from that distance but as she was nearing the table, she could see the petals of red, pink and yellow roses scattered on the table and top of this velvety cover, some plates were kept covered with cloche. But her eyes were still searching the man who did all this. Luckily she didn't have to wait for very long time as soon a pair of palms covered her eyes.

Sameer: Good morning!

Naina smiled nervously and replied: Good morning.

Seeing her nervousness, Sameer got a little bit apprehensive as he planned this surprise to make her feel happy but seeing the opposite happening, his heart started thumping loudly.

Sameer: Amm...Naina. Kya hua? Tumhe yeh sab accha nahi laga??? I mean uncomfortable feel kar toh nahi rahi na tum?

Naina was astonished seeing him guessing her uneasiness instantly but she wasn't uneasy due to the arrangements, she was nervous due to the sudden contact with him.

Naina: Nahi Sameer Ji! Aissi koi baat nahi hai. Mujhe aapka yeh arrangement bahut accha laga.

Sameer: Agar aissi baat hai toh tumhare chehre par nervousness kyun jhalak rahi hai?? Naina, main yeh sab tumhe better feel karwane ke intention se prepare kiya hun. Agar tum mere saath yahan akele breakfast karne mein uncomfortable feel kar rahi ho toh bata do, main baaki sab ko bhi yahan humare saath breakfast karne ke liye bula deta hun.

Naina: Sameer Ji! Mujhe aapke preparations se koi problem nahi hai. Woh.....woh aap..... aap aisse achanak se.....mere peeche......

Sameer understood the meaning of her incomplete sentence and mentally scolded himself for not controlling himself from doing such a stupid act.

Sameer: Woh....I am sorry Naina. Main itna excited tha tumhare reaction ko dekhne ke liye ki, mera dhyan nahi gaya ki shayad tum uncomfortable feel kar sakti ho mere aisse aane se. Aage se main dhyan rakhunga, promise!

Naina gave an understanding smile and said: It's ok, Sameer Ji! Accha ab aap mujhe dikhayenge bhi ki kya kya arrange karwa hai aapne mere liye ya aisse hi khade khade baatein karte rahenge

Sameer: Oh! Haan haan! Aao baitho na, main bhi buddhu hun 😅

Sameer pulled out a chair for Naina and made her sit comfortably before sitting on a chair opposite to her. Sameer expectantly revealed each food dish, as he wasn't aware of Naina's likes and dislikes properly. But after seeing Naina's glittering eyes and excited face, his racing heart cooled down a bit. Naina was not able to believe that her favorite sattu ke parathe, nimbu ka achar, dal batti, khandvi, khaman, dhokla and pista badam thandai was kept infront of her.

Naina jumped like a kid seeing those dishes infront of her and readily served them on her plate. She enjoyed having them, as with each bite of each food dish, her eyes would get closed, she would moan in happiness. Sameer's heart swelled in happiness, seeing her so happy and for being the reason behind her happiness.
When after few more bites and sips, Naina's eyes fell on the smiling face of her husband, she realised that she didn't care to ask him to eat and rather pounded on the food all by herself.

Naina: Sameer Ji....aap....aap bhi toh khaiye. I am....I am sorry maine aap....aapko pucha nahi. Aap please gussa maat karna, main sab meri favorite cheezein dekhke, excited hogayi thi aur aapse puchna bhul gayi thi. Please, aap gussa maat hona.

Sameer: Naina...it's completely fine! Maine yeh sab tumhare liye hi toh banaya hai. Toh kya hua agar tumne pehle kha liya toh. Koi baat nahi, main tumhare chehre par yeh chamak dekhna chahta tha. Aur main gussa kyun hunga hmm?

Naina: Woh....maine ghar pe dekha hai. Agar kabhi Taiji ya Chachiji ya Bhabhi ne Tauji, Papa , Chachaji aur bhaiya se pehle khana kha liya toh unhe bahut daant padti hai.... isliye.

Sameer: Naina, humare ghar mein aissa kuch nahi hai. Tumhe jab bhi jo kuch khane ko mann kare, toh beshak kha sakti ho. Aur mera, Papa aur Dadu ke kaam karne ka koi fixed time nahi hota. Kabhi kabhar hum lunch ke liye ghar nahi aa pate aur directly dinner karte hai. Aisse mein kya tum bhi subah se leke raat tak bhookhi rahogi??

Naina nodded in yes, but Sameer shook his head in no and said: Nahi! Tum bhookhi nahi rahogi. Kyunki agar tum bhookhi rahogi toh tumhari tabiyat kharab ho jayegi aur tum mera khayal kaise rakhogi?? Aur tumhe kuch dino baad apna MBA complete bhi karna hai. Toh uske liye tumhe college jaana padega. Aur college toh bhookhe pet nahi ja sakte na.

Naina thought for sometime and said: Main ek shart par bhookhi nahi rahungi.

Sameer raised his eyebrows and asked: Kya hai aapki shart?

Naina started fidgeting the pallu of her saree and replied nervously: Agar aap mujhe aapke liye tiffin banake bhejne denge aur usse khayenge bhi.

This one simple sentence increased the weight of his heart, and widened the smile plastered on his face. With misty eyes, Sameer nodded his head in a yes.

Naina: Aap....aap....aapke aankhon mein aanshu....

Sameer wiped his tears and smiled at her.

Sameer: Yeh toh khushi ke aanshu hai Naina. Itne saal hogaye kisine mujhse kaha nahi ki woh mere liye tiffin pack karke bhejega aur mujhe usse khatam karna hai....akhiri tiffin maine Mumma ke haath ka khaya tha.

Naina kept her hand on top of his and said: Aaj ke baad se aapko aapki Mumma ki yaad nahi aayegi. Main aapko roz tiffin banake bhejungi. Aap bas bata dena ki aapko kya pasand hai aud kya nahi.

Sameer: Thik hai! Abhi tum khao. Nahi saari mehnat waste ho jayegi, agar tumne khana thanda karke khaya toh!

Naina: Aap bhi khayiye! Main akeli thodi sab kha sakti hun.

Sameer: Thik hai....tum shuru toh karo pehle.

When Sameer had extend his right arm to pick the plate with khandvi, Naina's eyes fell on a long burnt mark which looked fresh. She hissed and held his arm softly.

Naina was concerned seeing the redness and asked: Aapko yeh chot kaise lagi?

Sameer: Yeh....yeh toh kuch nahi hai.

Naina: Kya kuch nahi hai!? Itna lamba burnt mark hai! Batayiye kaise laga aapko!

Sameer: Woh...aaj subah jaldi mein mera haath kadhai mein lag gaya.....

Naina: Ek sec!

Naina interrupted him and started thinking something, and when realisation stuck she widened her eyes and with horror filled voice she asked: Matlab maine uss waqt galat nahi suna tha! Yeh sab aapne banaya hai?

Sameer shrugged his shoulders and said: Haan! Maine hi yeh sab banaya hai....

Naina: Kyun!? Aapko kya jaroorat thi Sameer Ji, yeh sab karne ki. Aap mujhe bol dete, main bana deti sab kuch.

Sameer: Naina! Apni wife ke liye uska favorite breakfast banana galat hai kya? Nahi na! Aur tum yahan holiday pe aayi ho! Agar tumse hi saare kaam karwana hai toh yahan kyun aate hum? Mumbai mein hi rehte na.

Naina: Sameer Ji! Patni ke hote huye Pati ko kaam karna pade, isse sharam ki baat aur kuch nahi hai, mere liye. Aap please aissa kuch agli baar maat karna 🙏

Sameer: Naina! Yeh kya bol rahi ho? Koi sharam ki baat nahi hai yeh! Aur Naina, maine tumhe uss kaha tha na, ki main yeh sab Pati ko supreme manne mein believe nahi karta. Mere nazar mein, ek Pati ko patni ki sewa karne se peeche nahi hatna chahiye. Auratein bhi insaan hoti hai, unhe bhi aaram ki zaroorat hoti hai. Infact hum aadmiyon se zyada zaroorat hoti hai. Isliye, main apni biwi ki sewa umra bhar karunga. Aur mujhe koi rok nahi sakta, tum bhi nahi ❤️

Naina: Par Sameer Ji....

Sameer: Ssshhhh! Koi par war nahi! Maine keh diya na, toh bas no more arguments.

Naina didn't say anything else and ate her breakfast quietly. Even though she was feeling blissful with this small gesture but still the dynamics of the relationship between a husband and wife, she has seen in her family, didn't let her enjoy the happiness till Sameer explained her what he thinks about their relationship and wants her to accept his view point too.

Sameer: Naina....aaj tum kahan jaana chahogi? Kisi palace ya koi mandir ya museum? Ya aisse hi long drive par chale??

Naina got little nervous with the thought of being alone with him. She gulped the lump formed at the back of her throat and said: Hu...hum...hum akele jayenge?? Baaki...baaki sab?

Sameer: Woh bhi toh jayenge na! Arrey, mere kehne ka yeh matlab tha ki tum apni preference de do. Ussi hisaab se plan karenge.

Although Sameer was aware that Naina would ask this question, but somewhere in a small corner of his heart, he expected her not to ask this. Nevertheless, he was successful in hiding his disappointment.

Naina: Amm...mujhe kuch bhi chalega. Waise nikalna kab hai?

Sameer: Ahh...abhi 9 bajne wale hai. Main sabko bolke aata hun. Minimum 10 baje tak nikalne ki koshish karte hai. Sahi rahega na?

Naina: Ji! Sahi rahega....

Sameer called a bell boy and he cleaned the area and took tip of ₹200 for his service. By the time, Naina was getting ready, Sameer informed everyone to get ready by 10 AM and gather in the hall. Sameer entered their room humming a tune and checking his mailbox, totally unaware of his wife's half dressed condition. Seeing Sameer enter,

Naina clutched the kurta infront of her and screamed. That was when Sameer's attention went on her condition and he turned around after gasping "Oh shit"

Naina hastily wore the kurta while Sameer was mentally scolding himself for entering the room without knocking.

Sameer: Nai....Naina....I am really sorry. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum......I am sorry. Agli baar main knock karke aaunga. Promise!

Naina: Sameer Ji! Aap mud sakte hai. Maine....main ready hogayi hun.

Sameer turned around and looked at her with guilt filled eyes. He went near her and held her hand and, started apologising.

Sameer: Naina....tum please mujhe galat maat samjhna. Main sach mein nahi janta tha ki tum washroom mein nahi, balki yahin par change kar rahi ho. Agar pata hota toh main kabhi andar bina knock kiye nahi aata.....

Sameer could go on in his apologies but Naina kept her palm on his lips to quieten him.

Naina: Sameer Ji! Mujhe maloom hai ki aapko nahi pata tha. Aur galti meri hai, mujhe darwaza lock kar dena chahiye tha. Aaj agar aapke jagah koi aur andar aa jata, toh situation zyada awkward hoti. Aur ab aap sorry bolna bandh kar dijiye.

Sameer cutely nodded his head like a small kid, obeying his mom's orders, which made a smile appear on Naina's face.

Naina: Aap jaake naha lijiye. Main tab tak apna bag set kar deti hun aur ghar par phone kar leti hun.

Sameer: Thik hai. Lekin mere kapde.....

Naina: Haan haan, aapke kapde nikalne ke baad hi bahar jaungi.

Sameer patted her cheeks and went inside the washroom taking his towel. Unknowingly, Naina pulled out white T-shirt with blue denim for him, which was matching her navy blue straight kurta and trousers with white dupatta. After keeping all of his things like handkerchief, wallet, watch and clothes ready, Naina packed her handbag and went outside to call her family and his Dadaji.

Naina: Hello! Dadaji, Jai Shrikrishna

Jaiprakash: Jai Shrikrishna bahu! Kaisi ho?

Naina: Main bilkul thik hun Dadaji, aap kaise hai? Aur Papaji kaise hai? Aur Mummyji, Mamaji, Mamiji, Poonam Bhabhi, woh sab jaise hai?

Jaiprakash: Hum sab badhiya hai beta. Bas main aur Vivek tum dono ko yaad kar rahe hai. Bas ek din mein hi tumse lagav sa hogaya hai.

Naina: Sameer Ji aur main bhi aapko sabko bahut yaad kar rahe hai. Aap chinta maat kijiye, hum jaldi wapas aa jayenge. Phir kahin saath mein ghumne chalenge.

Jaiprakash: Haan, zaroor. Accha beta, yeh toh bata. Sameer acche se khyal toh rakh raha hai na? Agar kuch idhar udhar ka kar de woh toh batana mujhe...Khabar lunga uski main.

Naina: Nahi Dadaji. Woh bahut acche se khyal rakh rahe hai mera. Aapko chinta karni koi jaroorat nahi hai 😊

Jaiprakash: Phir thik hai. Accha usne tujhe kahin ghumaya hai ya hotel mein hi rakha hai ab tak?

Naina: Nahi Dadaji, yeh mujhe kal sham ko Jal Mahal gaye the aur bahar kha ke, wapas laye.

Jaiprakash: Arrey waah! Badhiya baat hai. Aisse hi ghumo aur ek dusre ke saath waqt bitate raho. Main rakhta hun Bahu. Apna aur Sameer ka khyal rakhna. Jai Shrikrishna bahu

Naina: Ji Dadaji, Jai Shrikrishna.

Naina had just declined the call when her phone rang bringing a smile on her face. Naina happily accepted the call and enthusiastically greeted the caller.

Naina: Good Morning Papa!

Rakesh: Very good morning meri gudiya! Kya baat hai aaj badi khush nazar aa rahi hai. Baat kya hai?

Naina: Aissa kuch nahi hai Papa. Aap apni batayiye. Thik se khana kha rahe hai na? Aur dawai li na aapne kal time se??

Rakesh: Haan meri gudiya! Maine time se khana khaya aur time se medicine bhi le li. Mujhe meri choti angry bird se dant thodi khani hai 😂

Naina: Kya Papa aap bhi....main aapko angry bird dekhti hun 😶

Rakesh: Haan! Jabse teri Maa hum dono ko chodke gayi hai, tabse tujhe mein uski aatma ghus gayi hai. Uski tarah tum bhi mujhe humesha dant ti rehti hai.

Naina: Haan toh! Agar main aapke saath strict nahi hoti toh aapke medicines ki quantity 3 nahi 9 hote! Khudka dhyaan bilkul bhi nahi rakhte 🙄🙄🙄

Rakesh: Haan meri Maa! Janta hun, tu na hoti toh mera kya hota. Woh kya bulati hai tu, haan yaad aaya! Dawai ki dukaan ban jaata! Sab pata hai mujhe....

Naina: Sab pata hai toh apna khyal kyun nahi rakhte aap. Papa! Ab main aapke paas nahi hun jo aapko har samay dawai ki, evening walk ki aur baaki sab cheezon ke baare mein yaad dilati rahun. Aapko peecha jo chudana tha mujhse! Tabhi meri shaadi karwa di

Rakesh: Hahahahaha!! Koi bhi baap yeh din nahi dekhna chahta ki uski beti usse dur chali jaaye kisi ajnabi ke saath. Par apne swarth ke liye, apni beti ko uski khushiyon se dur thodi kar sakta hun....

Naina: Meri khushi aapke saath rehne mein hai Papa!

Rakesh (worriedly) : Laado, tu Sameer ke saath khush nahi hai kya? Tere saath kuch badtameezi ki kya??

Naina: Nahi nahi Papa! Sameer Ji ne aissa kuch nahi kiya hai. Woh bahut acche hai. Main bas....main shaadi nahi karna chahti thi na. Isliye aissa kaha. Par aap chinta maat kijiye. Mujhe bahut khush rakhte hai yeh.

Rakesh: Naina! Beta, maine tujhe pehle bhi kaha hai aur ab phir keh raha hun. Tujhe Sameer ke saath apne rishte ko mauka dena padega. Jab tak tu apni ore se koshish nahi, tab tu Sameer ke saath khush kaise rahegi?? Jo hogaya hai, usko ab tak pakad kar baithna samajhdari wali baat nahi hai, laado!

Naina: Ji Papa! Main aapko nirash nahi hone dungi.

Rakesh: Tu mujhe kabhi nirash nahi karti beta! Ab iske baare mein soch maat zyada! Jaipur enjoy kar! Khoob saari masti kar Sameer ke saath! Main rakhta hun...Office jaana hai.

Naina: Okay Papa! Bye! Apna khyal rakhna! I love you ❤️

Rakesh: Tu bhi apna aur Sameer ka khyal rakhna! I love you too Beta ❤️

Sameer: Naina! Chale!?

Naina who hadn't seen Sameer yet, nodded her head and stood up. She realised that her clothes were matching again with his, when she turned around to face him. Sameer too realised the same and did a happy dance in his mind.

Sameer: Naina!? Chale??

Naina: Ji....Ji chaliye. Thodi der pehle Pralay bhaiya aur Pranati bhabhi ke Munna Pandit bhaiya aur Swati Anjali Bhabhi bahar gaye hai. Gaadi ke paas.

Sameer: Accha....

Samaina walked out of the haveli and were with the other three couples.

Pralay: Sameer....Kahan jaane ka plan hai?

Sameer: Amm...maine pucha tha aapki behen se. Usne kuch khas bataya nahi. Toh aap log boliye. Kahan chale?

Pranati looked at Naina and questioned her in eye signs that why didn't she mention her wish to Sameer. Naina didn't reply anything and looked forward.

Pranati: Amm...Sameer! If you don't mind, kya main ek suggestion de sakti hun??

Sameer: Haan zaroor!

Pranati: Woh....kyun na hum sab pehle Amer Fort chale? Suna hai woh bahut acchi jagah hai to start with the sightseeing.

Sameer: Thik hai phir! Hum sabse pehle Amer Fort chalte hai. Uske baad kahan jaana hai woh raste mein decide kar lenge.

Everyone nodded. And settled in the car with Sameer in the driving seat, Swanjmun at the back, Pralay and Pranati in the middle with Pandit. Sameer thought that maybe Naina would sit along with her bhaiya bhabhi but she opened the door next to him which brought a smile on his face. When he adjusted the rear view mirror, his gaze fell on Pranati's smirking face. Sameer blushed and turned on the engine of the car.

In the Pink City of Jaipur, cradled on the top of the Aravali Hill lies the Amer Fort, one of the most magnificent palaces in India. Also commonly known as the Amber Fort, this majestic building with its maze-like passages and serpentine staircases is an architectural masterpiece and with significant importance in Indian history. Only 11 kilometres away from the capital city of Jaipur, Amer Fort is clad in pink and yellow sandstone and is a part of an extensive complex. Built by one of the most trusted generals of Akbar, Maharaja Man Singh I in the year 1592, Amer Fort served as the main residence of the Rajput Rulers.

The Amer Fort through its large ramparts, several gateways and paved paths overlooks the Maotha Lake in the town of Amer, which used to serve as the capital of the erstwhile Jaipur princely state. The fort is big enough that it will take you at least two to three hours to explore it in detail, and you can also choose to avail of the audio guides to lead you through this fascinating building while explaining the history of the place. Getting an elephant ride up the stairs to the Amber Fort is also a popular tourist activity. The fort sees over five thousand visitors daily and rightfully, the Amer Fort was inducted into UNESCO World Heritage Site list as part of the "Hill Forts of Rajasthan" along with five other forts
