Chapter : 1
A big white Mansion was all shining with little fairy lights, it seemed that all the joy and happiness of the whole city had found its destination here. It felt like all the stars of the universe had come down and have got sprinkled all over the Mansion and it's courtyard. It seemed like all the lights and fragrance of whole Mumbai was reserved for this big day, and on this day two men were the most happiest ones! And why won't they? After all today their darling son got married and was about to start a new journey with his beautiful life partner.
The most eligible bachelor of Mumbai and the famous businessman, Sameer Maheshwari got married today. It was a heartbreak for many girls who had a huge crush on him or who loved him alot. The news of his wedding broke out to the media just like a forest fire! In one minute the whole city started to buzz over it. Where some people were shattered with the news, there were some who felt like having wings and wanted to fly away, they were non other than Jaiprakash Maheshwari and Vivek Maheswari! Sitting in the lawn still in the designer kurta pyjamas, they were having their happy time.
Jaiprakash: Vivek, meri toh barso ki tamanna puri hogayi! Sameer ki shaadi hogayi aur woh bhi iss duniya ki sabse sundar aur sushil ladki se 😀
Vivek: Sach kaha Papa aapne! Pehle toh iss shaadi mein thodi si jhijhak thi mujhe kyunki shayad Sameer arranged marriage na kare par jab usne haan kahin toh meri toh khushi ka thikana nahi raha!
Jaiprakash: Haan bilkul! Aur mujhe pura bharosa hai Sameer par, jis tarah usne business sambhala ussi tarah woh apni shadishuda zindagi bhi bakhubi nibhayega!
Vivek: Haan Papa! Bahut dino baad iss ghar mein lakshmi ji ka aagaman hua! Ab iss ghar mein sirf khushiyan phelegi aur kuch nahi.
Jaiprakash: Hmmm..... Accha main chala! Tu bhi jaake so ja! Sameer ki shaadi mein koi kaam bhaga daudi nahi ki tune.
Vivek nodded and the father son duo were about to leave when a old lady wearing cream saree with peacock green color border, along with small earrings, a gold chain around her neck and few gold bangles in her wrists, stood infront of them with arms crossed infront of her chest, looking at them fumingly!
Vivek: Bua aap soyi nahi!?
Jaya: Kaise soun!? Tum dono ki iss saalo purani bimari ke rehte huye mujhe chain ki nind kaha aati hai. Pata nahi roz raat ko kounsi vidhan sabha ki baithak lagate ho tum dono!
Jaiprakash: Jaya, tu toh janti hai na mujhe mere bete ke saath waqt bitana kitna accha lagta hai! Mere parivaar ke naam pe tere, Vivek, Sameer aur ab bahu ke alawa koun hai!??
Vishakha, Prabha aur Kamlesh hote huye bhi na hone ke barabar hai aur bichari Poonam, usse toh parivaar ka hissa bhi nahi mante woh log!
Jaya: Main toh tumse pehle bhi kehti thi bhaiya ki ghar tumhara, jayedad tumhari, toh unhe yahan rakhne ki kya jaroorat!?
Vivek: Waada bua!
Par kya sach mein usse pyaar mila hai!? Tu bhi janta hai aur hum sab bhi ki jo pyaar aur mamta usne dikhaya hai woh sab jhooth hai.....
Jaiprakash: Jaya! Iss baat pe saari behes saalon pehle khatam ho chuka hai. Aaj Sameer ki shaadi huyi hai aur lakshmi ji khud padhari hai humare ghar. Ab hume bas itna khayal rakhna hai ki jo Poonam ke saath hua hai woh bahu ke saath na ho..
Jaya: Hmm woh toh hai...Abhi tum dono kamre ko jaao aur so jao! Kal subah iss par baat karenge. Shubh ratri 🌝
Jaiprakash and Vivek: Shubh ratri 🌝
Whereas here our handsome groom, wearing maroon sherwani with golden thread work and beige pyjamas, was pacing around infront of the door of his room in nervousness. He was running his fingers through his hair and biting his nail.
Sameer: Woooww!!!! Seriously, Sameer Maheshwari jo muskil se mushkil business deal crack karta hai woh aaj apne hi kamre mein, apne hi biwi ki maujoodagi mein jaane se ghabra raha hai. Iss mein ghabrane ki kya baat hai? Meri biwi hi toh hai, par usse pehle mujhe usse meri dost banana hoga. Woh bhi toh meri tarah ghabra rahi hogi aur uske liye bhi yeh sab naya hoga. Kahin daar toh nahi gayi hogi, main itne der se bahar ka chakkar hi kaat raha hun.
I have to go to her. Yes Sameer! Go!
He took a deep breath and twisted the knob of his bedroom room and walked in. The scenario inside was very mesmerising, the lights of the room were dimmer, candles and fairy lights were the source of light. The bed was decorated with white and pink roses and there she was sitting right in the middle with her head lowered. The maroon and golden lehenga contrasted with her fair and glowing skin and seemed like she was illuminating light. Her
palms and hands were filled with intricate henna designs, she wore alot of red and golden bangles along with two kadas which Dadu had gifted her on the day of engagement. The kundan choker and rani haar gave her a royal look and the long heavy worked earrings gave the majestic look to her along with the not so heavy makeup which showed her simplicity and natural beauty too.
Few minutes back, when Bua dadi and Poonam bhabhi got her into the room, she was first flabbergasted seeing the room. The architecture of the room was so beautiful and simple that Naina couldn't believe her eyes! Though her maiden family wasn't as rich as her in-laws, and they had done some exquisite designing of the rooms. But this was something different. Through the entrance, the photo and awards row started and ended till the wall adjacent to another door which seemed like washroom. There was a medium sized bookshelf which contained many novels and business ethic books. Adjacent to the huge glasses wardrobe, a door was there which was the dressing room. The bed was along with the wall having a window which opened into the courtyard of the house. The side tables had the picture of Dadu on one and the picture of Sameer's parents on the other side.
She was so engrossed in registering the details that she didn't realise when Poonam bhabhi and Bua dadi left the room and went. Naina gulped when reality struck her seeing the flowers carnations and the lighting. She washed down her dry throat with a glass of water and sat on the bed waiting for her husband to come. She was wondering where he is, when the knob of the door was turned and he came inside. The musk scent of his perfume danced around the door, the smell of his aftershave too spread across the room making her feel more nervous when the smell got stronger and the footsteps were making their way to her.
Sameer sat next to her and kept his hand on her's which was clutching her lehenga really tightly that it left creases on it. Sameer curled his finger under her chin and made her look towards him. When the veil of her thick eyelashes lifted and showed the most innocent and beautiful brown orbs to him, he forgot how to breathe! Though they had met each other numerous times before but those were when their families were around. He never got chance to see her properly and have her for himself. Feeling the shivers of her hand and nervousness in her body language, he blinked his eyes in assurance.
Sameer: Naina, tum stress maat lo! Main kuch nahi karne wala tumhare saath jab tak tum aur main comfortable nahi ho jaate ek dusre ke saath....
Naina: Ammm, par Sameer ji....
Sameer: Hmm, bolo. Kya bolna hai tumhe?
Naina: Wo....wo....woh Chachi aur Taiji baat rahi thi ki ek patni ka dharm hota hai apne pati ko khush aur santusht rakhna. Aa...aap ma...mai.... main mer.. mera matlab hai ki.....
Sameer: Sssssshhhh! Kuch maat bolo! Naina yeh rishta humara hai! Jitna haq mera tum pe hai utna hi tumko mujh pe hai! Aur shaadi ka matlab yeh toh nahi ki aap apne saathi ke maan ki baat na samjh ke kuch aissa kadam uthaye jo uske dil ko thes pahunchaye!
Naina bhale humari shaadi hogayi hai par ab bhi hum dono anjaan se kaam nahi hai. Haan shaadi ke rasmon ke waqt mile aur thodi bahut baatcheet bhi huyi par kya woh kaafi hai!? Nahi, Naina aaj se main tumhara dost banna chahta hun, jisse tum bina hichkichat kuch bhi share kar sakti aur mujhse baat kar sakti ho. Aur rahi baat rishta aagai badhane ki toh pehle ek dusre ko samjh le. Tum mere saath aur main tumhare saath ghul mil toh jaaye.
Naina: Sameer ji! Aap itne acche kaise hai? Aapki baatein bahut bhi pyaari hai aur saaf dil ke bhi...
Sameer: Ab jiski biwi cum dost itni pyaari aur khubsurat dil waali ho, uss par toh asar padega na 😁😁
Naina blushed and shifted her gaze from him to other things. Sameer chuckled seeing her shyness and pulled out a chocolate bar from his pocket which he brought for her. Seeing the chocolate, Naina squealed like a small child and grinned at him while having small bits of the chocolate.
Sameer: Naina, tum jaake kapde badal do aur fresh ho jao! Phir hum khub saari baatein karenge, ek dusre ko jaane ki koshish karenge aur I'm sure we will be successful too.
Naina: Ji thik hai.....
Naina got up from the bed and stood infront of the dressing table and started to remove her jeweleries. The hook of her choker got tangled with her hair and she couldn't untangle it. Through the mirror she looked at Sameer. He was busy arranging his clothes so that Naina could keep her clothes. Naina tried again but couldn't untangle it but pulled her hair again and again. Finally she sighed and sat on the stool, turned to look at Sameer.
Naina: Ammm, Sa.... Sameer Ji!
Without looking, Sameer replied: Haan Naina bolo...
Naina: Wo.... woh m...mu...muj...mujhe aapki help chahiye.
Sameer kept the stack of his clothes and turned towards Naina. She sat on the stool fidgeting the dupatta with lowered eyes and pink hued cheeks. Sameer chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck and walked to her smiling sheepishly. He sat on his knees infront of her.
Sameer: Hmmm, batao kya help chahiye meri dost ko??
Naina lifted her eyes to look at him with misty eyes. Sameer was startled seeing moisture in her eyes.
Sameer: Naina! Kya hua? Ro kyun rahi ho???
Naina: Wo.....woh Sa...Sam.. Sameer ji.
Sameer: Haan Naina bolo! Tumhe ghar ki yaad aa rahi hai kya? Ya Preeti ki? Pralay aur Pranati bhabhi ki? Batao na Naina! Mera dil baitha ja raha hai....
Naina: Sameer ji, jabse humari shaadi taaye hua hai tab se mujhe dost karke kisine bola hi nahi. Kabhi bahu, kabhi biwi aur kabhi devrani, inhi naam se mujhe bulaya gaya... Mere doston se bhi meri baatein bandh hogayi.
Sameer gave a small smile and held her hand before speaking: Oh toh yeh baat hai. Arrey meri cute si biwi ji, tum na bahut emotional ho aur cute bhi. Itni si baat pe itne mote mote aansu baha rahi ho 😊😊
Aur haan ab se main tumhara permanent wala dost hun! Main kabhi bhi tumse dur nahi jaunga, toh ab tension free ho jao. Hmmm??
Naina cutely nodded her head. She held his hand when he was about to move away from her. Sameer raised his eyebrows and Naina signalled him to stay there. She turned around and shifted her hair aside. Seeing her milky white skin exposed through the backless and low cut blouse, made blood rush through his veins rapidly. He fisted his palm and closed his eyes to control her raging emotions. Sweatbeads formed on his forehead and chill ran through her spine, when Naina held his hand and moved it towards her back.
Naina: Sameer ji, woh haar ka hook baal mein phas gaya hai. Aa.... aap nikal diye na please.
Sameer: Haan? Haan!
With shivering hands, he untangled the hook from her hair and unhooked the necklace. He did the same for her other necklace too. He removed the hairpins too which had tucked the hair in plaits from both sides. He ruffled her hair so that her hair fall on her back freely.
Sameer: Naina ek baat kahun?
Naina: Ji!
Sameer: Tum par khule baal bahut acche lagte hai. Jab yeh lehrake tumhare chehre choote hai na toh tumhari khubsurti aur badh jaati hai...
Naina: Oh toh main aapko khubsurat lag ti hun?
Sameer: Haan ab khubsurat ho toh khubsurat hi lag...
Sameer realised he was praising Naina's beauty openly. He stopped abruptly and looked at Naina, who bursted out with laughter. Clutching her stomach, she stood up and took out some clothes to change into. While she changed in the dressing room, he changed in the room itself. He opened her suitcase and shifted her clothes inside the wardrobe, when Naina came in.
Naina: Sameer ji! Aap yeh kya kar rahe hai?
Sameer: Tumhare kapde rakh raha hun wardrobe mein Naina. Kya tum bhi na, dekh kar bhi puch rahi ho 😁😂
Naina: Haan mujhe dikh raha hai par kyun??
Sameer: Kya kyun Naina???
Naina: Ohho! Sameer ji aap mere kapde wardrobe mein kyun rakh rahe hai. Kya jaroorat hai iss sabki main kar deti na!
Sameer: Kyun? Mere haath bandhe hai kya jo main nahi kar sakta.
Naina: Wo...woh Chachi kehti hai ki Pati parmeshwar hote hai aur Taiji kehti hai ki hume humare patiyon se kaam karwane se paap lagega...
Sameer: Hmm aisi baat hai....
Accha ek baat batao agar patni pati ka saara kaam kare toh usse paap nahi lagta? Right!
Naina nodded in yes cutely.
Sameer: Accha ek aur baat batao, shaadi ki kasme sirf patni khati hai apne pati ka har kadam mein saath dena? Nahi na! Pati bhi toh kasam khate hai na. Jaise ek patni ka dharm hota hai apne pati ka har kaam mein saath dena, uski sewa karna, uska khayal rakhna waise hi ek pati ka dharm hota hai apni patni ka saath dena, uski sewa karna, uska khayal rakhna.
Aur rahi baat tumhari chachi aur Taiji ki kahi huyi baaton ka toh, I'm sorry but main nahi maanta yeh sab. Har kaam mein hum dono ka barabari ka haq hai, agar tum khana banake mujhe khila sakti ho toh main bhi banake tumhe khila sakta hun, tum bimaar padne par mera khayal rakh sakti ho toh main bhi rakh sakta hun na, agar main tumhe Naina bulata hun toh tum bhi mujhe Sameer bula sakti ho...
Naina was smiling cutely listening to him but his last sentence her face faded. She frowned and sat on the bed and closed her eyes, folded her hands and kept the dupatta pallu on her head and murmured something inaudibly. Sameer stood confusedly watching her antics. He smiled when he heard what she told.
Naina (murmuring): Bhagwaan ji, mere pati Sameer ji ko maaf kar dena. Woh..woh unko nahi pata ki pati ko naam se bulane se pati ki umar choti ho jati hai, aapse main waada karti hun ki main unhe naam se nahi bulaungi pakka! Unhe koi sazaa maat dena please Bhagwan ji. Kal hi main aapko halwe ka bhog chadhaungi.
Sameer chuckled and said: Tathastu putri ✋
Naina opened her eyes quickly and saw Sameer standing infront of her with a hand on his waist and the the other palm was shown in pataka mudra. He had put one of her sequined dupatta on his shoulder and wore a long pearl necklace which belonged to her. Seeing his devta roop, Naina laughed. Seeing her laugh, Sameer's happiness knew no bound as since they have left the wedding hall, Naina hasn't smiled genuinely. So when he entered the room, he tried hard to bring a smile on her face.
Sameer: Aisse hi muskurati raho humesha 😊
Acchi lagti ho....
Naina blushed and looked at other side.
Sameer: Accha tum yahin ruko, main hum dono ke liye khana leke aata hun. Main jaanta hun tum dopahar se kuch thik se khai nahi hogi....
Naina: Ji, aap kyun ja rahe hai? Main jaati hun na. Ab thak gaye honge na. Aap rukiye main jaati hun....
Sameer: Naina! Maine abhi kaha na sab kaam main barabar ka haq hai mujhe bhi. Tum bhi toh thak gayi hogi. Shaadi tumhari bhi toh thi! Infact tum jyaada thak gayi hogi, bhari kapde aur jewellery jo pehena tha. Main toh bas sherwani aur pagdi pehna tha. Isliye tum yahin ruko! Aur yeh mera final decision hai!!!!
Before Naina could say anything, Sameer left the room. He came with two plates having pulao, dal fry, paneer sabji, raita, mixed veg and laddoo. Naina was very hungry but due to the things Chachiji and Taiji had filled in her mind about the first night, she forgot her hunger. But Naina was lucky enough that not only Sameer understood her emotions and their relationship position but also understood his responsibilities towards her. After finishing the food, they sat and talked for a long time. Sameer was telling about his friends when he saw Naina dozing.
Sameer: Naina, tumhe nind aa rahi hai toh bata kyun nahi rahi? Baithe baithe so rahi ho. Chalo acche se so jao.
He made her sleep comfortably on the bed and covered her with blanket. He picked up the other pillow was about to walk till the couch when he heard Naina's voice.
Naina: Sameer ji aap kahan ja rahe hai?
Sameer: Couch pe sone...Tum aaram se yahan bed pe so jao, thik hai.
Naina: Nahi thik nahi hai! Aap bhi bed pe so jayiye na mere paas. I mean, aap kyun couch pe soke kamar mein dard paida karenge.....
Aap apni side pe so jaana aur main apni side pe.
Sameer: Par Naina tum comfortable nahi hogi....
Naina: Nahi nahi, main bilkul comfortable hun. Aur apne hi toh kaha na ki hum dost hai toh friends toh ek bed share karte hai na....
Waise bhi mujhe akele ek bed pe sone ki aadat nahi hai. Woh Preeti soti thi na mere saath.... Toh aap yahan bed pe so jayiye mujhe koi problem nahi hai, sachi mein...
Naina made a cute face seeing which Sameer couldn't deny and smiled at her. He walked to the bed and placing his pillow on his side went to his cupboard and got extra pillows and had kept those pillows in between them so that Naina doesn't feel awkward sleeping next to him and slept.
