Lakshmi's POV

Throwing all my clothes in the suitcase as fast as I could, I ignored Rishi's protests..."Lakshmi! Please, ek baar meri baat toh suno!" (Lakshmi please, listen to me!)

Rolling my eyes I zip up the suitcase bumping into him, "Lakshmi." He said firmly, "Aaj Diwali hain, please aaj ke din toh-" (It's Diwali, please at least not today.)

"Aaj ke din kya Rishi?" (Today what?)  I snapped, "Aaj ke din kya? Tum joh marzi karo, tum aur Malishka, meine apni ankh ko se dekhe hain Rishi!" (You can do whatever you want, you and Malishka, I saw it right in front of me Rishi!)

I caught them red-handed, almost kissing, so close to one another...we had just gotten out of that chaotic explosion with all the fireworks, I had come outside to see if Malishka was okay and ...they were... so close to one another

"It wasnt like that!" He defended himself, "Lakshmi-"

"I'm not stupid." I said firmly, "Get out of my way Rishi." Pushing him aside I ran up the stairs shutting the door in his face. I frantically began to pack my close, Rishi wrestled with the doorknob frantically knocking.

"Lakshmi!" He protested, "Lakshmi, ek baar door kahlo nah!" (Please open the door.)

"Jao Rishi!" (Go, Rishi.)

"I will break the door. Maliska and I are just friends."

"Stop lying to me!" I yell, "Stop fucking lying to me Rishi! Friends don't get that close to one another, friends don't look at each other the way you two look at each other and friends definitely don't almost kiss each other!"

I heard him sigh, hearing retreating footsteps I continue to pack my things zipping up my suitcase I walk into the bathroom to wash my face. I didn't want to let anyone see my tears, sure Rishi saw them, but he was the reason for them. 

I heard the door creak open, "Lakshmi?" Rishi? How did he get in?! Inhaling deeply I turn the tap off wiping my hands and face I put on a cold exterior before walking out basically bumping into him. "Woah,"

"Choro." (Let go)  I snap pushing him away before crossing my arms standing in front of him, "Ander Kaise aya?"

Rishi lifted his hand up jiggling a set of keys, "Extra keys, there's one for each room."

"Okay, now that you're inside what do you want to say to me that will make everything better Rishi? What is it that I don't already know? And please, I am not stupid, yeah I believe everything you say its because I loved you Rishi...and I didn't think that you would-"

"Lakshmi." he said firmly grabbing my shoulder shaking me slightly, "Hum sirf dost hain."(We are just friends)

Growing angrier I try to push his grip off but it got tighter, "Rishi."

"Ab hum sirf dost hain," (We are just friends now.) He corrected himself, "Haan hum ek dusre se pyaar karte the par jab se tum aaiye ho mera zindagi mein Lakshmi, meine uske taaraf dekha bhi nahi. Hain! Pehle bura lagta the uske liye par tumhari baaton and harkiton ne mera dil jeet liye. Mein ab Malishka se pyaar nahi karta hoon. Mein tumse pyaar karta hoon." (Yes we use to love each other, but ever since you came into my life Lakshmi, I haven't even looked at her. Yeah, I felt bad for her at first, but then your innocence won my heart over. I don't love Malishka anymore.)

I listen to him carefully, "Phir jo baar horaha tha woh?" (Then what about what was going on outside?)

"Woh Malishka ne dokhese mujhe keech liye Lakshmi, mein sirf use ye keraha tha ke, ab humar beech sirf dosti hi ho sakti hain or kuch nahi." (Malishka pulled me closer purposely, I was trying to explain to her that we are just friends now and nothing else.)

"Bas?" (That's it.)

"Bas." (That's it)

"Toh, tum use ab pyaar nahi karte aur jo baahar ho raha tha woh waise nahi tha jaise meine socha?" I asked tilting my head to the side looking for signs of hesitation but Rishi nodded without hesitation pulling me in closer,  (So, you don't love her any more? And what I saw outside wasnt right?)

 Rishi let out a relieved sigh but I wasn't done questioning him"Kuch nahi tha, sirf uska pagalpan." (Nothing, it was just her madness)

"Tumne use jhoote supna kyu dikhaya phir?" (Then why were you leading her on?)

Rishi sighed, "Malishka aur mein...it's complicated Lakshmi." (We are complicated)

"Choro phir," (Let go then.)

"Lakshmi, zidd matt karo." (Don't be stubborn) Rishi said, "Yeah we liked each other but it's different with you...I love you Lakshmi and I know you love me too."

Sighing I look up at him searching his eyes, they were filled with honesty and trust. "Mein karti hoon pyaar tumse per jo-" (I do love you.)

"Pyaar karti ho na? Phire kuch nahi humhe alag kar sakta. Baahar jo huwa woh sirf Malishka ka pagalpan tha, usme meri koi marzi nahi thi."  (You love me right? Then there is nothing keeping us apart, and what happened outside was all Malishka, not me.)

Smiling I lean in his arms wrapping my arms around his neck, "Mmh?" I say going on my tippy toes so we were eye to eye, his worrisome face changed into a mischievous one as he snatched me closer, "Mr. Oberoi, you're mine remember that."

Rishi leaned in kissing the corner of my mouth sending shivers down my back as his fingers trailed against the exposed side of my sari, "Mhm?" He questioned, his eyes came to meet mine as they were focused on my lips before, "Give me a kiss."

Taken back his boldness, I say, "Huh?"

Smirking his fingers tangled in my hair not letting me process what he has said, he kissed my lips gently relaxing his arms I moved closer if possible responding to his kiss. Rishi groaned leaning down he lifted me up laying us on the bed quickly crawling on top of me he shook his jacket off, before balancing his weight. Arching my back I kiss his back with the same passion but pulled back soon due to the lack of air, but that didn't bother him trailing kisses down my neck he scooched us up on the bed better so we were fully on it, "I love you, Lakshmi," He mumbled against my skin, "And you're mine."

I was his...and forever will be his...forever...
