The Coronation

SOOO since the original words of the coronation speech in frozen are in Norse, I'm translating them into English. You're welcome. Also again, to avoid confusion, I did *sigh* cut out the romance elements of Frozen. They wouldn't really fit the storyline. It was a painful thing to do. Also, the Battle of New York didn't happen, and Loki isn't a known villain or anything.

Pietro ran into the sanctuary, immediately finding himself shoved beside Wanda. "Oh, I don't think I'm supposed to-" He started to say as he was pushed close to his twin. "Ooook then," He said when he found himself so close to Wanda that they were touching. He scooted over.

He turned to lift the ceremonious objects from the pillow, lifting them as he turned to face the crowd.

"As he holds the holy properties," The priest chanted in Sokovian. "And is crowned in this holy place, I present to you forward, King Pietro, of Sokovia." (I learned the words specifically for this, obviously, change the pronouns for Frozen...)

Pietro caught Loki's eye, resisting a laugh as the young man waved at him as an elderly man slept on his shoulder.

Soon, he found himself at the party, his most eagerly awaited part. "King Pietro and Princess Wanda of Sokovia."

Wanda stood next to him. "You look good," She said, catching him off guard.

"You look gooder- er, um, not gooder. Better. You look better. Beautiful, actually." Pietro stammered.

Wanda chuckled. "So this is what a party looks like. And what is that amazing smell?"

The twins sniffed the air. "CHOCOLATE!" They said in unison. They looked at each other and burst out laughing.

"I wish it could be like this all the time," Pietro expressed. "I'm thinking about having the gates opened permanently."

Wanda immediately looked panicked. "You can't do that!"

"Why not?" Pietro asked.

"You just- Máma and Táta closed the gates for a reason."

"It would be nice if we knew the reason. But since I don't, I can't see why I can't open them."

"Pietro-"

She was cut off by a man arriving in front of them.

"May I present to you Baron Von Strucker of Germany," one of the secant said.

"Might I invite you to a dance, Princess Wanda?"

"Oh, actually I don't dance." Realizing that there was no way out of it, she added, "But I suppose that I can make an exception." She allowed the man to take her gloved hand and lead her to the dance floor.

Pietro chuckled, seeing his sister's annoyed face. She looked so different than he remembered. But he figured that she thought the same thing about him. They had only briefly seen each other a few times since Wanda vanished. It was always on accident, and Wanda would quickly run off. He had cornered her one time when they were thirteen, but that had freaked her out so much that he had to calm her down from a panic attack. He had made sure to never do it again.

"Hey, King," A voice said cheerily.

Pietro turned to see Loki standing behind him. "Whoa, Loki! Don't do that."

"Whatever you say, your majesty," The ebony said teasingly. "Can we disappear to somewhere more exciting?"

"Unfortunately, no. I have to stay in here. Kingly reasons, apparently."

"Oh, poor you," Loki said sarcastically. "King is kind of far-fetched for me. I have an older brother, so I'm in the same boat as your sister."

"My sister is a very weird girl. Our mother always told people 'he's fast and she's weird.'

Loki laughed. "My mother always told me off for being mischievous. Even though, I'm the-"

"God of mischief. Yeah."

"You know your stuff."

"I had to do SOMETHING to occupy my time while I was being ignored by Wanda."

"She ignored you? You seem pretty close."

"We were. But when we were ten, she just shut me out. And I never knew why."

"I get it. Though I can't say Thor and I were ever close. Hey, if you don't mind me asking, what's with that red streak in your hair? Fashion choice?"

Pietro snickered. "No, actually. I was born with it. Although I dreamt that I got hit in the head with magic."

"Huh. That's odd."

"No kidding."

"You're a pretty cool guy, Pietro. I was expecting you to be uh..."

"Extremely weird, since I never get out?"

"Yeah."

"I think most people assume that. And I am weird, but not like people expect."

Wanda stumbled back over. Pietro had been watching her out of the corner of his eye, and had definitely been entertained. "Nice limp."

Wanda glared at him. "Shut up. Who's your friend?"

"Oh, this is Prince Loki of Asgard."

"Nice to meet you, Prince Loki."

"Same to you, Princess Wanda."

"I'm planning on opening the gates. Wanda is opposed to the idea. She's convinced our parents had a good reason for closing them in the first place, so we should keep them closed. But I'm sick of being alone. I like this." He gestured around them.

"Well, Máma and Táta has to have a good reason, Pietro. Are you saying that they didn't?"

"No, I'm not!" They were getting loud, and people were glancing towards them.

"Really? Cuz it sounds like it. We need to keep the gates closed!"

"Well, I want to do it!"

"Well, I don't!"

"I'm the KING. If you don't like the idea, then you should leave!"

Wanda looked startled. Then she shook her head, glaring at him. She marched away.

"Wanda! Wanda, come back! I didn't mean it!"

Wanda kept walking. Pietro ran over to her- not using his super speed, obviously. He grabbed her arm.

She whirled around and tried to tug her arm back. "Pietro, let go!"

"I'll let go when you tell me what's up with you!"

"Pietro, leave it be!"

"Why do you shut me out?! Why do you shut the world out?!" He yanked off her glove.

"Pietro, stop!" She yanked her hand out of his grip, reaching for the glove. She gave up, spinning around, running to the doors.

"WHAT ARE YOU SO AFRAID OF?!"

"I SAID STOP!" She exclaimed, furious. She spun around, red mist shooting out of her hand, forming a glowing force field. Her face immediately turned to panic. She fumbled for the doorknob, flinging the door open and running.

"Sorcery," Strucker whispered.

"What was that?" Pietro breathed.

"Chaos magic," Loki said in a hushed voice. "I've never seen a human with it."

Pietro finally got his wits together, and he and Loki ran after her. Thoughts were filling his head. Why hadn't he known? He had super speed, what did it matter if she had this chaos magic, as Loki called it? Though he supposed she apparently couldn't control it well. Wait, was that why the gates had been closed?!

They weren't able to catch up to her. She was gone before they reached the fjord. "Sh**," Pietro whispered. Streamed of red energy ran through the air, breaking and lifting things, and generally causing chaos.

Strucker caught up to them. He stared at Pietro. "Is there sorcery in you, too? Are you a monster, too?!"

"I-I wouldn't call it SORCERY. And Wanda isn't a monster!"

"So you don't object to having powers?"

"I- no, I don't object. I have super speed, I was born with it. But I didn't know that Wanda-"

"Leave him alone," Loki growled at Strucker. "King Pietro is a good man, and I'm sure he sister is the same."

"Yes, she is," Pietro insisted. "This is my fault. I pushed her, made her mad, and scared. She didn't mean to do this, any of it! I'll go get her, and bring her back."

"Pietro, are you sure?" Loki asked skeptically. "Can you trust her?"

"Yes, I'm sure. I can do this. Someone go get my horse! Wanda is my sister, she'd never hurt me." He said the last sentence confidently. "I've got this. Until I get back, Prince Loki is in charge!" He galloped off to find his sister.
