all things take time to work out. all things take time to change. we all take time to grow, to adapt, to live.

let things take its time, slowly, gradually but someday reaching who and where we want to be.

someday I hope to gain my own freedom, walk along at my own pace – enough to pause for a moment before I suck in another breath, pause long enough in the moment to be able to take everything in, enough to allow myself time to figure out something, anything and myself.

how often I think of doing things because others do, swayed by the tides of the world; it only drags me under. how often I'm often out of breath racing after time to try and reach the other side.

(the world isn't all about trying to catch up. even if I walk all day the same landscape will never been seen)

so let me drift along the sea away from the shore and towards the vast horizon, reaching a faraway place (somewhere no one can reach me). someday, the seasons will pause long enough for me to catch that fiery sunset that I've always been waiting to see; someday, I'll be set free from all the chains that are bind to me. the weight around my heart will be eased and I'll walk down the long road with nothing holding me back.

so let me be the flying wind, going about my days freely (even if I may be just a passing one). let me rewind back in time to the things I missed, to reminisce of all the good old days. let me follow the needle on the compass naturally. let me run and jump freely. let me dance along the rough sidewalks of Paris and Brooklyn, exploring my surroundings and take on new things in new ways and live new days one step at a time.
