As we are leaving to catch our flight, I can't help but get the impression that someone is watching us. The sensation of being engulfed in darkness returns to me, and it seems as though it is moving in our direction.

"Guys!" Logan says nervously.

As we wait for our cab, I turn my head and spot those green eyes off in the distance. Without moving, I turn to face Clay, Brie, and Logan.

"Leave your bags and slowly walk away from them, when I say, Run," Whispering so other prying ears can't hear. Clay gives me a worried look, they are all nervous,

"Trust me," I mouth.

The fact that New York sidewalks are constantly crowded offers us a slight advantage as we carefully try to back away from our belongings. As we continue to walk, Clay grabs my hand and pulls me closer to him.

"Ray?" Logan questions. I see Erik and Brooks trying to push themselves through the crowd.

"RUN!" We keep running until I find an alleyway. We reach a corner and sprint down it, stopping. We're all standing there hoping we've lost them.

"What the hell do we do now?" Brie paces back and forth.

"I have an idea, I'm just not sure if it will work with all of us, I've done it myself but maybe with Brie's help I can transport us from here to home." I look at them, their mouths wide open, surprised at my suggestion, I shrug my shoulders,

"Fine, let's stay here and wake up the devil himself!" Frustrated that I'm the only one who is coming up with any ideas to get us out of here.

"Raven!!!" I hear my name being called, Oh crap they found us.

"What do I need to do?" Brie frantically asks.

"You and I hold hands, grab Logan and I'll grab Clay. Think of home, concentrate while I syphon magic from you, Understand?"

She nods, I grab a hold of Clay's hand, intertwining my fingers with his and hold tight, Brie does the same then takes hold of my hand.

"I'm sorry this might hurt a little" I warn them, she nods.

"There!" I hear Brooks shout.

I close my eyes and concentrate

"Lacus,"

I whisper. I can't believe the strength Brie is emitting. The wind increases around us, as a zap of electricity flows through me followed by silence. I take a big breath and open my eyes.

"We're home," I say quietly. I look up at Clay, who then opens his eyes and a smile grows on his face. He looks down at me,

"Where did you learn that?"

"I can do a lot, but you seem to forget that", I tease him.

I turn to Brie who is freaking out with what just happened.

"H...h..how the hell did you just do that?" She staggers.

"I've learned that if I syphon magic from someone or something, I can do the unthinkable, my powers become endless. When Mr. Michaels said I was different, he meant it."

"Wait, did you syphon from all of us?" Logan asks.

"Yes, I'm able to syphon the vampirism from you guys and turn it into magic."

"That's so cool."

I shake my head, this damn kid thinks everything I do with magic is cool.

"So any fight we face, I'll be by your side no matter what", Brie tells me.

She pulls me in for a hug and whispers, "Ride or die."

"For life."

*** Back in New York ***

"How could you have lost them?" The woman dressed in black screams.

Erik pulls back out of concern for what might occur if he gets too close.

He hesitantly replies, "I'm not sure, they were there one minute, then... then the next they were gone."

With his head bowed, Brooks says, "She's stronger than we've ever seen, and she uses magic like we've never seen before." He won't dare look into her eyes after they had let her down.

"No one is more powerful than I am, I don't care what it takes, find them you idiots, and bring them back! Scour the state of Virginia and find them!" She yells.

*** Back in Cladwell ***

Brie pulls back away, and I start to feel dizzy.

"Clay," I muster out, Before I collapse he catches me.

"Let's get her inside," Clay says, he picks me up, one arm under my thighs and the other on my upper back.

He places me on the couch after we are inside, and my head hurts. I feel hungry as I gaze at Clay. I've never felt the agonising burn in my throat before. I can sense the flame within me.
