(That Evening... Training Ground 7...)

"Well another successful D-ranked mission... I think that you three are now well trained for a C-ranked mission tomorrow..." Kakashi said with an eye smile.

"Really sensei...?" surprisingly it was Hinata who asked with excitement as normally she would be a shy girl.

"Hn..." Sasuke snorted being proud of himself as he is slowly but surely getting close to his lifelong goal.

Naruto narrowed his eyes only a little unnoticed by anyone except Eevee and said "Hinata... Sasuke... Eevee wants to go on a small walk... Could you both accompany her just for a little while...?"

Hinata understood the inner meaning and nodded her head whereas Sasuke seemed clueless but he went along with Hinata and Eevee when Eevee grabbed his arm warmer and tugged asking him to come with her.

Kakashi seemed a little confused about this and asked, "What's that all about Naruto...?"

"Nothing sensei... I just wanted to thank you for all the training we received from you before going on a C-ranked mission..." Naruto replied and extended his hand.

Kakashi just shrugged and took Naruto's hand in a firm handshake and said, "Well it's my duty after all..." then he tried to pull his hand back, but the blond boy didn't let go of his hand.

"Now coming back to the training that we received from you... What have you taught us sensei...?" Naruto asked and Kakashi could feel a slight pressure on his hand.

Kakashi didn't mind the added pressure and replied, "Team work drills..."

"And...?" Naruto asked increasing the pressure on Kakashi's hand.

Kakashi was feeling pain but he still replied, "Communication drills..."

"And...?" Naruto asked again adding more pressure on the hand.

Now Kakashi's pain tolerance was not helping him at all and he was visibly affected by the pain but he still replied, "Team Formations..."

"And...?" Naruto asked one more time adding even more pressure on the hand.

Kakashi couldn't stand anymore and had fallen on one knee due to the pain and the boy was still not letting him go. He tried to remember what he taught his students and then realized that he didn't teach them anything at all apart from the things that he just mentioned.

Seeing that Kakashi was speechless Naruto said, "This is the third week for us three under you as a team sensei..." He gave small pause and added some more pressure in crushing Kakashi's hand and then continued, "During the first week we were supposed to be learning tree walking and during the second week we were supposed to be learning water walking..."He paused and looked at the kneeling Jounin with narrowed eyes and continued, "In this third week we are supposed to be tested for our chakra affinities and start the slow paced chakra affinity training along with the regular training so that we could master our affinities by the time we become Chunins..."

"So, I ask again sensei... What have you taught us before you decided that we are ready for a C-ranked mission?" Naruto asked and released Kakashi's hand.

Kakashi used all his anbu training to keep the screams of pain in check and after nursing his hand for a minute he replied, "Naruto... That was an attack on your superior and you could be removed from shinobi program if I report that..."

"Neglecting to train subordinates... Deciding to take untrained Genins to risky missions..." Naruto said and paused for a moment to crack his knuckles and continued again, "Do you know what would happen if I decide to report about these...?"

Kakashi narrowed his eye at the blond boy and was about to say something but he was interrupted by Sasuke who said, "What did we miss...?"

Sasuke, Hinata and Eevee just came back from the walk. Kakashi just eye smiled and replied, "Oh its nothing Sasuke... Naruto is having cold feet for a C-ranked mission without proper training..."

"What...? I'm an Uchiha... I'm an Elite... I am well trained and so is Hinata... And Naruto... He is a Senju... We are the best team there is... We can handle anything..." Sasuke boasted but the venom in his tone was clear when he spat the name Senju like it was a poison. He was still pissed that he was the second best after Naruto.

"What is your opinion Hinata...?" Kakashi asked with an eye smile again.

"Hmmm.... I... I..." Hinata seemed in conflict to decide.

"Well in any case... I know that you three are good to go for a C-ranked mission..." Kakashi finally decided when Hinata couldn't come to a decision.

After getting a confirmation nod from Sasuke and a hesitant nod from Hinata, Kakashi continued, "Let us meet at the mission assignment desk tomorrow at 9AM sharp..."

As soon as Sasuke and Hinata left, Eevee started growling at Kakashi. Kakashi turned to Naruto and asked, "Why the hostility Naruto...?"

Naruto just turned around and started walking and said "I just hope that you're correct in thinking that we are ready for a C-ranked mission sensei..." then he took a pause to stop and look at Kakashi over his shoulder and continued, "...because if you're wrong..." Naruto left without completing the words along with Eevee leaving the threat hanging in the air.

Kakashi unconsciously rubbed his right hand that was crushed earlier by the blond boy and after a few moments he shook his head and mumbled out loud, "Well... He definitely is the son of Lady Kushina..."
