Sorry means nothing

Jack grunts, landing on his ass. he'd just flown through a window looking for teeth, while helping Tooth, but had immediately fallen into one of Bunnys tunnels.

Jack huffs getting to his feet. he knows he's in the Warren, he'd sneaked in once before, but he's hopelessly lost in the tunnels. Bunny had never shown him around, just kicked him out of the Warren.

"great, the bastard has me trapped here." Jack grumbles, looking around.

"lookin' a tad lost there Frostbite." Bunny calls from behind him. Jack whips around to look at him.

"let me out Kangaroo." Jack frowns, glaring at him. Bunny glares at him. he watches Jack clutch his staff tightly.

"not yet, we need to talk." Bunny frowns. he's careful not to get closer, Jack looks like a trapped wild animal already, he doesn't want to make it worse. his staff is slowly becoming covered in ice, Jacks not happy to be trapped, but no one usually is.

"we have nothing to talk about." Jack snaps, growling.

"the blizzard." Bunny states. Jack flinches slightly, before glaring Bunny down.

"move on there's nothing to talk about." Jack growls lowly in warning.

"don't play dumb, Jack." Bunny frowns. "what? you couldn't stand Easter when no one could see you?" Bunny huffs. Jack straightens immediately.

"fuck off." Jack hisses.

Jack turns to storm off, but Bunny grabs his wrist. Jack panics immediately. Bunnys paw is immediately frozen solid. the frost guardian jerks away from him.

"don't touch me." Jack hisses. Bunny jerks his paw back quickly, trying to shake off the stinging cold ice.

the two had been almost friends years ago, before the blizzard ever happened, but now they couldn't be in the same room without arguing and fighting.

and it was all Jacks fault.

he'd kissed Bunny on one of their friendly meetings and Bunny had immediately run away. Jacks emotions caused the blizzard when he couldn't get control of them.

"we don't have anything to talk about, now let me out Bunny." Jack says coldly.

a small flurry forms around Jack when Bunny tries to step closer, carefully blocking the Pooka from reaching Jack. the younger is trying to protect himself.

"ya don't want to talk fine then, just listen." Bunny huffs.

"I'm not interested in more insults. I don't want another word about how invisible I am, or how no one knows I exist. how no one believes in me. I get it, alright?" Jack growls. Bunny looks shocked. "no one sees me, hears me, feels me, cares about me, or wants me around. I get it. I'm not fit to be a guardian, I know, okay?" Jack snaps, glaring the bunny down.

Bunny stares quietly at him for a moment.

"Jack-" Bunny tries.

"just let me out. I'll leave you guys alone. I'll fuck off forever, I'll never try to talk to any of you again, just let me out now." Jack says firmly. Bunny watches the ice and snow around the younger, before sighing.

"Jack I want to talk about before the blizzard." Bunny says carefully. Jack tenses more, before turning away.

"fine." Jack mumbles. Bunny perks up slightly. "I'll find my own way out." Jack huffs, walking away. Bunny follows.

"Jack, hold on mate-" Bunny tries again.

"if you want an apology, then I'm sorry I kissed you, but I've moved on from that. it was a faze. I don't care anymore." Jack huffs.

its a lie. Jack had been crushed when Bunny ran. he loved the Easter guardian at one point.

he can't anymore. he just can't love him anymore. not with Bunny's words haunting him.

"stay out of my Warren ya Galah!"

"ya ruined Easter ya waste of space!"

"ya deserve t' be ignored ya dero!"

"no wonder no one sees ya!"

"he's not guardian material!"

"what does this clown know about bringing joy to children?"

"yer a bloody mistake! thats what ya are!"

"but, they don't believe in ye."

"yer invisible mate, its like ya don't even exist.

"people believe in me."

"he doesn't care about children!"

"no one knows Jack Frost, no one cares!"

"Jack wait, m'sorry." Bunny says softly. Jack pauses immediately, his back stiff and straightened.

"sorry...? Jack asks softly.

"yes-" Bunny tries.

"you're sorry?" Jack cries. Bunny steps back slightly. "you could have just told me you didn't feel the same. instead you ran, ignored me! told me I deserved to be ignored! you left me! you were the only one who could see me!! you left me and screamed at me for being unable to control myself on your stupid holiday! I KILLED INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THAT BLIZZARD!" Jack screams. tears are streaming down his face, ice covering the tunnel and younger guardian.

he clenches his fists, hard at his sides.

"now let me out! or i'll show you a real storm!" Jack warns. the snow is picking up around him.

"Jack, please, listen to me." Bunny tries.

"why? so you can remind me that no one will ever believe in me?!" Jack screams, getting in his face. "WHY!?" Jack screams.

"Jack, I was an idiot mate. I should'nt've done that." Bunny says.

"you're an idiot if you think I believe you!" Jack scolds. "you're a liar!" Jack screams. "you were the only friend I had! the only person who could see me! of course I fell in love with you! you were nice to me! you pretended you cared about me! YOU caused the blizzard, I killed people because of you, and then screamed at me about it!" Jack shouts. the wind is blowing dangerously through the tunnel. Bunny stares at him, trying to find his voice and the words to say. "I don't know how I could ever love you." Jack hisses.

"Jack, I was... I reacted the wrong way-" Bunny starts.

"you abandoned me. the only person on the planet I'd met that could see me and you just... dropped me. like I was trash." Jack says, wiping at his face. "and I don't want your stupid apology. I don't care. I don't care about you, the other guardians, Pitch, or these stupid teeth! I don't care!" Jack screams throwing the bag of teeth in his hand at Bunny. "LET ME OUT!" Jack screams, slamming his staff down. it blows Bunny back several feet, leaving him on his ass looking shocked. "let me be!" Jack cries, slamming his staff down again. spiked ice shoots from the staff and Bunny scrambles to dodge it. "just let me be, I-I'm begging." Jack sobs softly.

Jack pants silently for a few moments and Bunny finally manages to get back to his feet.

"okay." Bunny says softly. he looks away. "where do ya want me t' let ya out at?" Bunny ask. his tone is soft, quiet, in a way Jack hasn't heard before.

"home. I want to go home. let me out at my lake and leave me alone." Jack snaps. Bunny nods at him.

"okay, clear the ice out, I'll make a tunnel." Bunny murmurs. Jack lifts his staff, the ice retreats, and Bunny taps open a tunnel. Jack walks over to the opening.

"and don't pretend to look so hurt, don't you remember? I'm invisible, no one believes in me." Jack snaps, jumping into the hole. Bunny flinches as Jack uses his words against him.

Jack shakily stumbles onto the ice of his frozen lake, before collapsing onto his side, curling up. he screams into his knees, he can't stop the blizzard forming. its not in his control. he wasn't fit to be a guardian, he wasn't ready to be a guardian. he wants to die.

Jack forms a solid ice block around himself, leaving just enough room for him to stretch out slightly. he can hide here forever. he never wants to be free again. he doesn't deserve to be free, why should he? he wasn't guardian material, he took hundreds of innocent lives, he made a fool of himself to the first person to ever seen him. he broke his own heart and despite years of trying, he couldn't fix it.

he can sob, scream, and hide away forever.

he's not sure how long its quiet, before he hears something beating on the ice.

"Frost ya galah! m'not running this time!" Bunny shouts.
