~Sandy~

it had started with Sandy. the dream guardian had been sent to get both Bunny and Jack from the Warren, where Jack had set up his home in one of Bunny's spare rooms. he hadn't meant to snoop, but when he'd entered the den in the Warren, he'd found Jacks room empty.

Jack wasn't in the Warren, it was too big an area to check but Sandy could sense he was sleeping, so Sandy went looking for Bunny. perhaps Jack had fallen asleep somewhere else and Bunny knew where to find him.

he paused upon entering Bunnys nest area. Jack and Bunny are curled up in Bunny's nest, snoring. Jack is curled up firmly against Bunny, face in his chest snoring quietly, fingers clutched in the tuft of fur on his chest. Bunny had his arms firmly wrapped around Jacks waist and shoulder, holding the smaller as tight and close as he could without suffocating the man. their legs are tangled together under a light sheet. Bunny's chin is resting on Jacks head, messing up the frost guardians white hair.

Sandy stares at them a moment, before a grin crosses his face, he steps back out of the den and back out into the Warren.

he'd like to leave the two alone, happily cuddled together, but North needs them both for urgent business. he uses his dreamsand to enter the den and, instead of going for both of them, goes after Bunny. the Pooka was dreaming of his homeworld, the beginning of the war, anyway and would probably appreciate a wake up call.

Bunny grumbles, blinking awake. he waves away the dreamsand handing over his head.

"okay okay, I hear ya." Bunny grumbles, before shaking Jack gently.

"no." Jack grumbles.

"c'mon. Sandy says North needs us." Bunny mutters. Jack blinks awake, confused.

"huh?" he mumbles.

"c'mon, North needs us." Bunny murmurs softly. Jack groans and gets up.

"more cuddles later though right?" Jack mumbles. Bunny nods, chinning the smallers head gently.

"yeah." he murmurs, kissing the top of his mates head. "c'mon, get up." Bunny says, getting up out of their shared nest. he pulls on his armor, grabbing his boomerangs. Jack gets up and stretches, fixing his hair before following Bunny out.

"lets get this over with." Jack murmurs.

~Tooth~

the entire mission had been absolutely disastrous, ending with Jack injured and unconscious.

Jack had been nearly crushed, broken his leg and his staff, ending up unconscious and unable to help in the rest of the fight.

"come on, we'll put him on the couch." Tooth says. Bunny nods slightly, shifting Jack on his back. the smaller hisses softly, half conscious. Bunny had made a field splint on Jacks leg but it didn't mean it didn't hurt.

"sorry mate." Bunny murmurs. he walks over to the couch in the gathering room, something North had installed when they started having monthly meetings.

he as gentle as he can be, laying Jack down gently.

"fuck." Jack hisses.

"sorry." Bunny murmurs gently, rubbing his thumb over the back of Jacks hand. he stands up.

"Jack are you alright?" Tooth asks, worriedly.

"no." Jack grunts, wincing.

"keep an eye on'im. get'em some ice er somethin', I'll be back. I've got a salve in the Warren I've gotta go get." Bunny says. Tooth nods.

"you go, we keep eye on Jack." North assures gently, walking over to Frost guardian. Bunny taps the ground, winks at Jack, and jumps into the hole.

he's back five minutes later, both arms full of little jars. he sets them out on the table and gets to work removing the rest of Jacks pant leg from his shreaded pants.

"I will have Yeti make new pants." North says, Tooth and Sandy follow after him quickly.

"s'lot of jars." Jack mumbles, watching him.

"well, fixin' a broken bone ain't easy." Bunny frowns. "here find a movie to watch while I do this, s'gonna hurt." Bunny adds. Jack nods slightly. he finds a random movie and sits back nervously. Bunny opens all six jars and crouchs beside the couch, putting the jars in reach. "ready?" Bunny ask.

"not really." Jack mumbles. Bunny smiles at him slightly, offering him a paw to hold. Jack takes it immediately, holding tightly.

it only takes five minutes for Bunny to get the splint off, slather Jacks leg, and put a better splint on the spirits leg, but he works as fast, but as carefully, as he can.

he sits himself behind Jack carefully, letting the smaller lean back against him, practically laying in his lap. Bunny gently runs his fingers through Jacks hair.

"yer alright." Bunny murmurs. Jack cuddles into his chest. the younger had tried to stay quiet, doing his best to not let Bunny know exactly how much his gentle motions hurt his leg, but he was grateful for the cuddles. "sorry if I hurt ye." Bunny murmurs, kissing his head gently.

"its better in the end right? it'll fix my leg." Jack mumbles.

"of course. ye know I take care of ya." Bunny murmurs softly. he's so focused on Jack, attempting to make him feel better, that he doesn't hear Tooth walk into the room.

she'd been worried, when it got silent, that Bunny had killed Jack, buy she froze seeing the grumpy Spring spirit cuddling Jack.

Bunny chins Jacks head gently, pulling the smaller closer, before gently kissing the top of the youngers head.

"m'tired Aster." Jack mumbles. he shifts on Bunnys lap gently. "can we go back home?" Jack asks.

"not yet Snowflake. gotta let that salve do its job first, alright?" Bunny murmurs.

"okay." Jack mumbles.

"here lay out on the couch, alright? let me put the lids back on the jars." Bunny murmurs. Jack nods, shifting himself off Bunny. the Pooka gets up and starts capping the jars when Tooth clears her throat. both look up.

"hey, heard things get quiet, figured I'd check on you guys." Tooth smiles. "how are you doing Jack?" Tooth asks.

"tired as fuck." Jack mutters. Tooth nods.

"North offered a room for you to stay in until your legs better." Tooth says. "that is, if Bunny doesn't mind carrying you again..." Tooth says, looking over at Bunny. the Pooka shrugs.

"I can move'im. no big deal." he shrugs. Jack smiles at him. "can ya carry these t' the room? he'll need'em again shortly." Bunny says.

"wait, again?" Jack asks.

"yeah. gotta reapply." Bunny says. Tooth nods and picks up the jars.

"no one told me that!" Jack cries.

"I told ya fixin' a broken bone ain' easy." Bunny snorts. he scoops Jack up carefully, trying not to hurt the smallers leg. Jack immediately holds onto his neck. he takes the chance when Tooth turns her back, to kiss Bunnys cheek, smiling at the taller. Bunny snorts softly and follows after Tooth.

Tooth sets the jars down, watching Bunny and Jack out of the corner of her eye.

Bunny is as gentle as can be when he lays Jack down, pressing his forehead gently to Jacks with a small smile.

"how long before we can go back?" Jack mumbles.

"a couple of hours, just lay here." Bunny murmurs.

"y'gonna curl up with me? you promised." Jack mumbles, cuddling into the blankets.

"you know it Snowflake." Bunny murmurs softly. Jack smiles. Tooth puts the jars down and turns to them.

"alright, well, don't leave Jack alone. he might try to get up. I'll tell North you're going to stay in here with him." Tooth says, heading out of the room. Bunny watches her go. the moment the door shuts behind her, he shakes his head.

"come lay with me." Jack mumbles.

"I am." Bunny assures, standing up straight. he carefully crawls over Jack to lay beside him. "m'sorry ya got hurt." Bunny murmurs.

"I'm just lucky you got to me before that thing broke my neck" Jack mumbles. Bunny chuckles and lays beside him.

~North~

he'd only meant to check on the two before he went to bed. he had opened the door as quietly as possible, freezing immediately.

Jacks leg is clearly better, as its firmly wrapped around Bunnys waist.

North was lucky he'd caught them now, instead of what was likely about to happen in a few moments. he makes a mental note to make sure the Yeti's wash the blanket and sheet in this room.

Jacks face is a dark shade of purple and frosted over, arms tightly around Bunnys neck. Bunny looks annoyed, almost pissed, with his ears laid back. he's laid over Jack, paws firmly on the smallers hips.

"North what the fuck?" Bunny snaps.

"I, uh, I am sorry. I did not mean to interupt." North says, his face is almost as red as his suit.

"well ya did, now get out ya dero." Bunny glares. Jack hasn't said a word, staring intently at Bunnys shoulder.

"ah! yes right, good night." North says quickly, slamming the door shut. Bunny and Jack sit silently for a few minutes.

"can we go back to the Warren now?" Jack asks.

"yeah, best get back." Bunny mutters. "yer leg good t' stand on?" Bunny murmurs.

"its doing just fine around you." Jack murmurs. Bunny snorts.

"hanging onto me and standin' are two different things." Bunny snorts.

"well I mean you carried me just fine before." Jack grins.

"weasel." Bunny chuckles, standing up. he scoops Jack up easily and taps the ground. "lets go love." Bunny murmurs, stepping into the tunnel.
