Chapter Three

Twenty one year old, Clyde McBride was driving back to his childhood home with some of his friends minus Rusty, Liam and Zach who moved away a couple of years after the incident. Last he heard...they were each doing their own thing and Rocky, Rusty's little brother, started dating a nice girl. He was instead joined by Ronnie Anne, his girlfriend (Sid), Haiku and Tabby.

"It's nice of you to invite us to your childhood home, Clyde." Sid commented.

"Well....I figured that you would like to meet my parents and my adopted sister." Clyde said.

"Speaking of which....How's she doing being so close to them." Ronnie Anne saying the last word with some venom.

"Lily told me that they're trying to get close to her....when it's obvious that she doesn't want anything to do with them." Clyde said.

"Figures. They weren't always the best with listening especially when Lori tried to set me up with Lincoln." Ronnie Anne said. (Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are friends in this)

"No offense, but isn't it obvious that you're only friends. I wonder how they couldn't see how you two really felt about each other?" Sid said.

"That's because whenever Lincoln said anything....it goes in one ear and out the other. It almost came to a head one time when four of his former sisters set him up with Haiku, Polly, Giggles and I for a dance." Tabby said.

"Don't remind me. They set us up without letting him explain what's going on or whether or not he truly wanted to be there." Haiku said.

"As nice as it is to go down...Memory lane, we're here." Ronnie Anne said as they parked the car. At the same time, the youngest Louds were getting slowly eating their breakfast while wondering what the townspeople will do next.

"Ugh. I hate this." Lola said after eating her last spoonful of cereal while the rest of her siblings just rolled their eyes. It wasn't the first time that she complained about their lives and how Lincoln messed everything up for her. Only thing was that a majority of them knew that it wasn't his fault that they were in this mess to begin with.

"Can you give it a rest already Lola! We already know that everything sucks, but complaining about it won't make things better." Lana said.

"Lana!! You know that this was all...." Lola started to say until Lucy interrupted.

"Stop! Just stop. It wasn't Lincoln's fault and you know it. We were the ones at fault and until you see that...we can't start moving forward." Lucy said.

"But..." Lola started to say.

"Enough Lola. We're already suffering as it is....we don't need to hear your excuses on our actions." Lisa said making Lola stare at the ground in shame. She already knew that it wasn't his fault, but she was too stubborn to admit it to anyone especially herself. So with a huff...she headed back to her room to sulk once again while Lana banged her head against the table.

"How she can still say that it's Lincoln's fault is getting old fast." Lana said.

"Yup. Lynn was the same way too until Lucy smacked some sense into her." Lisa said knowing that she meant it physically and mentally. She could never forget the blood that was pouring out if Lynn's nose as Lucy started to say all of the things that Lynn's actions have done to her and the rest of the family.

"I hated that I hit her, but it needed to be done. We can't waste our energy blaming Lincoln for all of our problems when we need it to make up for our actions against him." Lucy stated.

"Easier said then done...considering that he probably hates our guts for what we did." Lana said making all of the girls look down in shame...not knowing that at the same time some news were being shared that would give them an opportunity to apologize:

Lincoln wants to see us?!

Hope you enjoyed the chapter, Bye 👋
