PROLOGUE

Luiz Cohen wanted to become a World Champion in Formula One and had dreamt about it ever since he was a young boy watching the sport with his mother.

He reached formula one when he was seventeen years old and found himself immediately living his lifelong dream, signing with Sauber and relishing in the lifestyle that formula one drivers lived, since it was so different to his home life back in São Paulo.

Throughout his career, he had made many good friends with other drivers and relished in knowing that they accepted him even when he had struggled with the fame, the money and the sponsorships.

He had his best friend by his side and she was there when he found somebody who he wanted to settle down with, to have a child with.

As he kept winning races and championships, he knew that he was setting his name in stone as becoming one of the greats and he knew that he could continue to win titles, but he wanted out.

He wanted out so that he could raise his daughter without having to bring her along to every race just so that he could see her, he wanted to raise his daughter with his friends and give her the best life that he possibly could, and help her achieve any dreams that she ended up dreaming.

He just didn't know at what cost.
