TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE
Zeppelin and Strike went out hunting that morning, they found a few rabbits which they trapped, killed, and gutted, no words were exchanged between them during the whole time, they were just focused on their surroundings and the terrain in front of them. When they got back they gave Chewie and Gidget two of the rabbits to cook up, Zeppelin went outside to practise his skills and Strike went to work at drying and salting the remaining meat. Once he was done he walked past where Chewie and Gidget were attempting, emphasis on attempting to make an adequate breakfast for the group. Zeppelin lined up broken things and other things he found in the house on tables outside and practiced his sword work on them. Strike walked up to the doorway and remained there, watching the guys in the living room and Zeppelin outside. He looked so concentrated and probably didn't even know Strike was there. It was his job to keep his group safe in a way, that included Zeppelin too now, or at least he thinks. Strike shakes his head and stands up, walking over to Zeppelin. "Did you even notice I was there." Zeppelin looks up from what he was doing and shakes his head. "Not really I'm a little focused here." Strike can't believe what he just said, how could he have possibly survived this long. "Listen, you need to keep an eye on your surroundings, your sight, your hearing, and your sense of touch, maybe even a little bit of scent." Zeppelin nods, and then shrugs. "Fine then, since you know so much about fighting. Why don't you tell me how to?" Strike smirks and walks into the house, reaching into his bag and pulling out a bandanna. He walks out to meet with Zeppelin. "These are good for training." Zeppelin raises an eyebrow. "Here, tie this over your eyes. Make it so you can't see anything." Zeppelin does as he's instructed. "Okay, now fight me." They fight and Zeppelin is knocked on his ass within seconds. Strike finds it hilarious. They continue to fight like that for awhile. Zeppelin being continuously defeated by Strike. Further in Strike seems impressed, "You have a lot of patience." Zeppelin takes this as an opportunity, listening to Strike's voice he located him, charging over at him and rugby tackling him to the ground. The two seem to be on the ground, wrestling for control. Strike gets the upper hand by knocking Zeppelins hand forward causing him to fall chest first into Strike's, rolling on top of him and pinning him down. "Dammit." Strike smiles slightly but Zeppelin can't see it because he's wearing the bandanna. "Not bad for your first day." He helps him up, and Zeppelin takes the mask off, wincing at the light. Strike made a note to self, help this guy adjust to lighting. He sees now how he survived on his own, but it was probably just barely. He knows that he has to train him because they were in smaller numbers, they need to be elite and have multiple skills. So that way they don't rely on each other when they're alone. But he also needs to work on bonds, in case anybody thinks it's a good idea to leave another dead in a ditch. Another thing he needed to do was to find out more about the new guy. The guys bring out breakfast, and they eat, it wasn't half bad, better than Bud's by far. Strike decides to speak up, "We're heading out after this, pack up and be ready in a half an hour." Strike stands up after finishing his meal, walking inside and grabbing his mostly packed bag, stuffing the bandanna inside and zipping it up. He heads outside and waits in the front. Chewie and Zeppelin walk out after ten minutes, discussing tracking tactics. Gidget comes out after twenty minutes, Strike doesn't know what took him so long but okay. They head down the road, Zeppelin keeping an eye on the rooftops, Chewie looking in the crevices, Strike watching the main area around them, and Gidget keeping an eye on the floor like a champ.
