Gidget looked over at me with panicked eyes "Did that just happen dude?" Any other emotion on his face was unreadable. I couldn't tell what emotion was on my face, I was to shell shocked to even feel the beat of my heart. Even though I knew it was probably pounding out of my chest. "Yep." Chewy replied before I could, I wasn't expecting him to continue "For what it's worth. But this is just my 2 cents." I looked over from Gidget to Chewy. "Nobody I have seen in this camp, not even Derrick, Has had the balls to stand up to that psycho like that. Derrick thinks it's not worth the hastle. But I do. Rush is gonna be on your ass, but who cares? You knocked him down a peg." I felt confidence all of a sudden. "Thanks man." He nodded to me "No problem, just saying what's on my mind." Strike has been silent this whole time, though he piped up now. "Cry the new guy a river, Rush is an asshole. Now we gotta deal with it." I didn't exactly know what he meant but Gidget asked before I could, "Say what now?". Strike shook his head, he sighed into his hand. "Rush needs to go, for the survival of the group, Derrick may be wise but he is too sick to carry out as leader anymore. Slade will stay by Derrick's side so that's a no for sure. and Dusty is too old to be of us in combat, Phoenix is too broken to even think about." Derrick is sick? I mean, I don't know the guy but it seems this group is dependent on him. Before he could Ramble on, Chewy would ask a question "Are you planning on leaving?" Strike nods in answer to Chewy's question. "We are the best men here, if we leave we stand a better chance out there then being here and allowing them to hold us back. We can easily learn their knowledge, our skills aren't so easy." Gidget kicked the dirt. "I know I'm the weakest here, but you expect us to just leave them to die." Strike looks at Gidget, his eyes void of emotion. "That's exactly what I expect." That's it, this place is insane. "I'll think about it."
