A Decision
Gidget walked outside the main-hall and looked around for me, I would have called him but I didn't feel like talking to anybody right now. Once he was out of view I decided to jump down from the tree and over to the hut they gave me. I went inside and grabbed by bag, I stared at it for a solid minute. That was when Chewie walked in, he was really quiet and nearly scared the piss out of me. The hut wasn't big at all don't get me wrong, but he didn't come far in. He leaned against the doorway with his hands in his pockets. I could only hope he's not like Rush, I was getting tired of his shit and only talked to the guy what? Twice. "You headed out with Strike?" He asked me without skipping a beat. "I'm thinking about it." I reply. Chewie looks me over, "We're leaving in 30." I nod, I decide not to ask about Gidget, I already knew the answer. "If you stay here, you'll die with them. And I know you know that won't be long without this camp." I nod, hoping he gets the hint. He turns tail and leaves the hut after that. I pack up the stuff I had out for two days, knowing that I either am leaving with Derrick or Strike. The bell rings again but I head to the gate to go see Strike. He looks up at me "Making the choice to head the highway?" I surprisingly see Gidget standing beside Chewie. "Yeah, let's head out." Strike nods and we head out into the night.
