Ezio's POV

We get to the front of the line for the thing Desmond calls a roller coaster and climb into the carts. Altaïr and Malik get in one, Connor and Edward, Leonardo and I and Desmond in one alone. He has the most experience, so he's okay alone.

"Are you ready?" asks an announcer. Everyone cheers and he pulls a lever, making the cars lurch forward. We all jump, and Desmond laughs.

"Here we go! Hold onto the bar in front of you."

I grab hold of the bar and so does Leo. I look behind me at Malik and Altaïr, and Malik is holding as tightly as he can with his one arm.

We begin riding up an incline and Leonardo looks around.

"This place is so cool!" he says. "I wish I had my notebook so I could draw it."

"Desmond, this ride isn't very exciting," Edward says.

"Just wait, Ed," Desmond replies. As he says this, the cars reach the top of the incline and sit there for a moment before plummeting downwards.

Altaïr and Malik scream from behind me and hug each other, but jump apart the moment they realize they're hugging each other. I grin as I feel the rush in my face.

"This is the best ride ever!" Edward yells. Connor shouts with joy and Desmond cheers.

"You see why this is my favourite!?"

"YEP!!" Altaïr yells.

We go through loops and turns, all of us cheering and laughing the entire time. When it ends, we pull into our starting position and get out.

"That was amazing!" I cheer.

"I can't walk right," Leonardo laughs, holding onto my shoulder.

"That was the most excellent thrill I've had since I assassinated the math teacher!" Altaïr laughs. Desmond laughs and punches his shoulder playfully.

"Come on, we're going to find Edward's ship."

Desmond's POV

"How many ships are there?" Edward asks as we walk through the amusement park. I think for a moment.

"2."

We reach the first ship, which is one of the giant swinging boats.

"This will do," Edward says, attempting to be sophisticated. I can tell he's trying to hide how happy his is.

We "board" the ship and Edward is literally bouncing with joy.

"Calm down, Eddie," Malik laughs.

The ship begins to swing and we all cheer.

"Aye lads! Let us ride this ship!" Edward hollers.

"Edward, sit down," I say, pulling him back into his chair.

"This is like a ship on the wind. It rides without water, and can fly over land," Edward whispers.

"Poetic pirate," Altaïr mumbles.

Edward laughs and we continue to cheer as the ship rocks higher and higher. When it comes to a stop, Edward hops out and grins widely.

"Where is this other ship you speak of?"

I lead the assassins to the other "ship." I know it as the log ride, where it's basically a water roller coaster.

When we arrive, Altaïr stares at me.

"You didn't tell me that water was involved with this ride."

"You don't have to swim in the water, Altaïr," I reply.

"It's still water."

"Get over it."

I lead them to the log ride and we all get in after I convince Altaïr that he's safe from the water.

"Perfect! Some water boats!" Edward grins.

"Yep. Let's do this!" I reply.

The boat begins moving, and Altaïr looks like he wants to curl up in a corner and die.

"Come on, Altaïr. A little water never killed anyone," Ezio says. Altaïr glares at him.

"Tell that to everybody who's ever drowned."

"Those people don't count," Connor says.

"Lads! We're going over a swell!" Edward says from the front of the ship.

The boat begins climbing an incline and Altaïr begins shaking.

"I'm going to fall out. Into the water. And drown."

"Shut up, Altaïr. There's like, three inches of water," Malik says. "Stop being such a novice."

"Hey..." Altaïr mutters.

"Hold on! Here comes the decline!" I shout. We shoot down the watery slide, getting soaked. Altaïr shrieks and everyone else laughs.

"How exciting!" Leonardo grins.

"Not cool, Des," Altaïr mumbles.

We all laugh and I lead them to the flying swings.

"Finally, something more my speed..." Altaïr says. We all laugh and get into the swings.

Ezio and Leonardo are next to each other, as well as Malik and Altaïr, Edward and I and Connor flying solo.

As the swings begin to bring us in a circle, Ezio and Leonardo start freaking out.

"This is like your invention!" Ezio laughs. Leonardo is giddy with excitement and they both have their arms out.

"I KNOW!!!"

"This is awesome!!" Connor yells as we fly around.

When the swings stop, I take them to one of the food stands and get some cotton candy.

"Try this," I say.

They each take a bite and their eyes widen as it melts in their mouths.

"What is this invention?!" Malik gasps.

"I believe it is sugar, but made very fine," Leonardo says. "With flavour added."

"Pretty much! Now let's go home," I say.

"I agree. I'm exhausted," Altaïr says. "And wet." He glares at us and then starts laughing. We join him and walk back to my car.

It was a perfect way to end a perfect day.
