Chapter 9
3rd person
Mitch stopped, he seemed scared for a second, but he regained his fearsome appearance. He turned his head around, Literally, and glared at Sky. He glared back, "Give her to me. Rules are rules." "Rules are made to be broken." Mitch retorted. Sky growled, "This rule is reinforced." Mitch stared at Sky with pure, raw hatred. Sky glared back at him, "Give her to me." Luna was shaking, fearing for her life. Mitch's grip loosened a little. Luna took the chance to brake free. She ran to the far wall, dogging Mitch and Sky. Seto, being the closest, grabbed her and ran. Luna kicked and screamed. The angered shouts of Mitch and Sky followed. Both chased after him, Sky running on the ground and Mitch swinging from the ceiling. However, Seto was faster then both of them. He ran past Lily, shouting something, but Luna wasn't paying attention, for she was still struggling. Lily ran beside him, not running to stop him, but running with him. Suddenly Mitch tackled Seto, causing him to drop Luna. She stood up. "RUN!" Lily screamed, barreling into Sky, knocking him down. She turned around and ran, not really knowing where she was going. She looked over her shoulder, Seto was trying to get away from Mitch, who was trying to drag him up to the ceiling, Lily and Sky kept tackling each other. Luna slammed into something not paying attention. She stumbled backwards from shock and looked up. She slammed into Jerome. He grinned, showing a pair of sharp teeth on his lower jaw. He opened his mouth and aimed a bite to her neck, a killing blow. Luna screamed and ran to the left, however, Jerome managed to bite her left arm, causing it to bleed very badly. Luna screamed again and ripped her arm away from him, causing more blood to flow out of the wound. She stumbled a little, but managed to keep running. She ran until she saw the Mystic Cave. She ran up to it, climbing the steps and jogging threw the curtains, maybe she could hide here. She slowly walked to the far wall, not wanting to run into anything, she could barely see. Once she felt the wall, she followed it until she reached a corner. Luna sat down, her back against the wall. She whimpered a little in pain. She held her wounded arm with her good arm. Luna felt a little woozy from the blood lose. She closed her eyes, trying to forget about the bloody bite. When the sound of foot steps were heard she opened her eyes, scared that Sky or Mitch found her. She could see the out line of someone. She saw one, glowing eye. She instantly closed her eyes, fearing the worst. She didn't pay attention to the color, only that there was one. Foot steps slowly approached the shaking girl. Luna whimpered when they stopped in front of her. Whoever it was, Luna was sure it was Sky, knelled in front of her. She found the courage to open her eyes. She stared into the one brown eye, wait, wasn't Sky's eye golden? The glowing brown eye illuminated a little of his face. Luna realized it wasn't Sky, but it was Seto. She felt a little better, however, she was still scared. Seto frowned, "I-I-I won't hurt-hurt you." That statement made Luna feel better. He shifted his gaze to her, still bleeding, arm. He looked worried. He stood up and gently picked her up. Luna, on instinct fought to get away. Seto had an iron grip..an actual iron grip. She finally gave up. Seto turned around and walked somewhere. Luna still couldn't see, so she didn't know where. All she knew was that it was still in the Mystic Cave. Seto gently sat Luna down on something soft. Luna felt the fabric. "I-I managed to find a-a-a few blankets." He explained. They were really soft ones to. Seto grabbed something and took her wounded arm. Luna flinched at first, but calmed down after a second. He wiped away the blood. Luna flinched again, whimpering. When most of the blood was gone, Seto wrapped it in, from what Luna could tell, gauze. He let go of her arm. Luna felt the wrappings, a little confused as to why he would help her. She looked into his one working eye. "Why are you helping me? Aren't you supposed to be trying to kill me?" He frowned, Luna was able to see from the light his eye gave off. "I don't want to kill you. I-I-I-I don't...know why-why, b-but I want to...p-p-protect you." He mumbled. Luna was still confused. 'Why would he want to protect me?' She thought. Someone poked there head in threw the curtains. Seto snarled and stood up, turning to whoever it was. "I-I-it's...just m-me-me-e." Someone whispered. It was Lily. He calmed down and sat back beside Luna. Lily walked, well it sounded like she was limping, towards them. "I-Is she...okay?" He nodded. Lily sat down beside him. "Th-thank you..Seto." He turned to her, "For..what?" She smiled, her eyes illuminated her face to, "F-for helping Luna. For not hurting her-r." He smiled, "Y-you're welcome..L-Lily." Lily curled her tail around her body. Seto shifted closer to Luna. She was shaking a little from the cold, it wasn't exactly warm in here. Seto, noticing her shivering, wrapped a spare blanket around her. Luna blushed a little, pulled the blank tighter around herself.
