The Journey
Moons, it was cold. Wind pressed against Ripcurrent, not like Corals warm embrace brace, but cold like the icy stares of his siblings. He staggered and fell. He felt a claw on his and allowed himself to be dragged into a cave. He vaguely remembered Coral taking cautious steps around him before all went black.

When he woke up, he was still shivering. "You got hypothermia," said Coral, and her voice caught at the end. The stared into each other's eyes, blue into green, and he shivered, but not because of he cold. He still couldn't get over her. Maybe he never would.

Corals POV
"We need to warm you up." She said softly. And before she knew it, before she knew why or how or that she was the one who leaned in first, they were kissing. A tingling worked its way up her body and made her feel impossibly good. In that moment, there were no animus powers, no hypothermia, no Skywings, just them together. When he finally pulled away, she didn't want it to end.
"I feel warmer now." He said. On they pushed into the cold, where things were not perfect, and Coral had to be strong, because she had animus powers. But they didn't seem as much of a curse anymore, because with him here, she'd never lose her soul.
