The Current is Strong

Telling Anemone and Auklet was less disastrous, if no more calm. Anemone was beside herself with excitement.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! AUKLET, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A NIECE!" She swam around the palace, zipping along (or as fast as she could swim with a harness) and screaming so loudly half the palace turned to stare at them.

Tsunami groaned inwardly. Was there no privacy? But at the same time, she was happy that her sister, if no one else approved of her decision. She was going to tell the other dragonets soon, too. They would approve too, even if they teased her about it (She shuddered to imagine Glory's response).

As they swam through the Kingdom of The Sea, they thought of names for the rest of the dragonets it the clutch of eggs. They tried to ignore the looks from some of the dragons. Many didn't approve of the two of them, it was the same when they had gotten married. Tsunami didn't care. She wasn't going to let anyone else be the boss of her life, and she loved Riptide.

But at the same time, some dragons shook claws with them, or offered their congratulations. One even asked if she could have Tsunami's autograph.

Some of the other names they came up with were Clownfish, Manatee, and Walrus.

They adopted one, who they named Ripcurrent.  After Tsunami's orphaned childhood, they thought it the right thing to do. And the name Ripcurrent, because if she hadn't been pulled away from the currents of life, away from her Big Heroic Destiny and met Riptide, then her life wouldn't be complete. Riptide made her whole. The current was too strong to ignore, and in tribute to that one of her daughters would be Ripcurrent.

Update 1/18/18: I finally fixed the cousin thing. I'm sorry, when I wrote this I didn't realize they were cousins, and since you guys keep mentioning it I fixed it. He's adopted now.
