A clue
Glory took a breath to say something but was suddenly interrupted by a Rainwing running into the room, scales white with fear. She skidded to a stop and whispered something in Glorys ear. Her scales turned several colors until she got them under control and they settled into a nice shade of blue.
"I'm sorry but... I have to handle this. As important as this discussion is, we will have to postpone it." And before anyone could say anything, she flapped off into the breeze, Rainwing attendant hot on her tail.
The other dragons were left gaping at her. "Well... I guess that's that." Coral said with a shrug. They all dispersed,
Coral and Ripcurrent going one way and everyone else heading to take a nice nap on a hammock.
They wandered around the rain kingdom for a while, taking a stroll in the jungle, talking and laughing. Coral had never felt so good, even with the danger of the skywings looming upon them. She forgot the past weeks. The only thing that existed was Ripcurrent.
About an hour into this time, as they walked, they heard a crack. They looked around in confusion.
Nothing seemed out of place until the ground came out from under their talons and they fell down, down, down into darkness. Coral heard Ripcurrent cry out in pain. She whirled around. "Ripcurrent? Are you ok? Ripcurrent!" She flashed all her stripes on in order to give light. The cavern they were in lit up. There were thousands of scrolls surrounding them. Thousands. But there was no worrying about that now. Ripcurrent groaned and sat up.
"I'm fine. Where are we?"
"Some sort of cavern."
"Are those scrolls?"
"Yeah. I'm going to go Take a look." As she read, her eyes grew wider and wider. "Three moons, Ripcurrent. Look at this." He hobbled over. His wing was clearly sprained. As he read, he grew pale.
"Coral are these... Prophecies?" They started looking through the cavern. Thousands upon thousands of prophecies.
"The queens wrath... The final storm... Where did they all come from"
"I don't know. But glory needs to see this." Said Ripcurrent.
"Yeah. But we aren't going anywhere with your wing sprained. We'll have to wait to be found."
"But-"
"No" coral cut him off. He sighed and say back. And the waited as they let their scales fade to dark and the rain started to fall around them, outside the cavern. They could hear it, but no one could hear them.
I've been so busy lately I'm sorry. So much marching band. I'll try to update more.
