Mio POV

"Die." I mumble before killing the demon for once being on a mission on my own. Suddenly my phone rang making me sigh, it's probably the order again telling me there's another demon somewhere.

"Mio speaking." I say.

"Mio, it's Yukio." My eyes widen and I look at my phone then place it back.

"Yukio.. how did you even-" He cuts me off.

"I don't have time to explain but I think Mephisto is trying to kill Rin." I feel my heart stop.

"Wh-what?" I ask.

"I know this is sudden and almost impossible but I at least wanted to try.. could you come to true cross academy? I would feel more comfortable with you here protecting Rin." With that I ended the call and marched back to the order, I will go to true cross academy no matter the cost.

"I can smell him.. faintly but I can still smell him." I mumble when I got to the school and started flying in the direction I could smell him going making it to a forest. It's night time already.. wait.

"Yukio!" I yell landing next to him.

"Mio." He says looking at me but all I could see were the blue flames around Rin.

"What happened?" I ask looking at Yukio.

"Amaimon attacked them.. I think he's being consumed by the flames." Yukio answers before I start running towards him. I'm coming darling.

"Darling.." I mumble wrapping my hands around him placing my head on his chest making him freeze.

"Mi..o?" He asks and I hug him tighter.

"It's me.. it's me darling everything will be ok." I mumble as his flames started to die down.

"It's ok.. I'm here." I whisper just before his body gave up and he pass out.

"Ah so blue.. as blue as it was that night, no?" I hug Rin tighter to me as I look up glaring.

"Good morning everyone, Arthur Auguste Angel at your service. I'm a senior exorcist first class from the Vatican headquarters." I lay Rin down on my lap as I caress his cheek while looking at him he hasn't changed much and I'm glad for that. They continued to talk about Rin being the son of Satan and Mephisto showed up as well.. that's until.

"By order of the Grigori, advisers of the true cross, I shall execute the son of Satan." In a second his neck is between my fingers when he tried taking Rin away from me.

"You touch him again and the whole order will have to face my wrath." I warn digging my long nails to his neck and turn my eyes red letting him know I wasn't joking.

"Mio, shall I take this as a threat to the order?" My grip tighten on him as the glare looked directly into his eyes seeing his hidden fear for me.

"This is a warning, if he's to die prepare yourselves for war because I won't be on your side anymore. And you know my ranking is higher than yours." I say letting go of him throwing him to the floor glaring at him.



"So be very careful with your next move." I warn turning to look at Rin resting on the floor walking towards him. I hear his phone ring as I carry Rin placing him on my back.

"Yes.. understood sir." He says.

"That was the Grigori just now, Mephisto Pheles you're here by ordered to report to them imminently for a disciplinary hearing. Shawna you're a witness so if you don't mind you're coming with me, that includes you Mio the son of Satan is coming along as well, I need him as evidence." Arthur says making me scoff. 

"He isn't a thing you so called angel." I say glaring at him.

"He's the son of Satan." He glares back as I tilt my head.

"Yet you act more like it than he ever did." I say making him grit his teeth as I smirk.

"Excuse me I'd like to come too." Yukio says.

"I'm sorry but I think it's better for you to stay here and look after your students, like a good teacher. His flames can't be suppressed any longer now that his sword is damaged." Mephisto says handing Yukio the sword.

"Hey Yukio." I say causing him to look at me.

"You know you can count on me to protect him." I say watching as a small smile formed on his lips and a bit of relief in his eyes.

"Yeah." He says and with that we left.

"It's time to face reality darling." I say as I lean on the door watching as the pitiful human tells Rin they're not friends anymore while Rin said he wasn't going to be like his father.

"Mio.." Rin whispers when he looks at me as did the others.

"You're a demon darling, people like him will never understand what it means to be a demon and want to be normal." I say walking in looking at Rin caressing his cheek.

"Where.. have you been?" He asks looking into my eyes making me smile.

"Killing demons." I answer simply before his eyes land on my horns.

"Were those.. always there?" He asks making me smile and take his hand.

"I guess it's your first time seeing them huh? Come on you'll be starting a new curriculum much different from all these weaklings." I say pulling him with me.

"He-hey!" He says pulling slightly on my arm causing me to stop.

"What is it darling?" I ask looking into his eyes.

"You can't just come back all of a sudden and expect me not to ask questions." He says as I sigh getting closer to him and kissing his lips hearing a bunch of gasps.

"I promise I'll answer all of your questions, darling. But you really need to come with me, I can't stand the smell of these humans and far less stand for their behavior." I say sending the guy from before a glare.

"You know you don't have to be so mean Mio." He says as I scoff.

"Humans are filthy Rin, they're only little of them who are of any worth." I say looking at him.

"I was human when we met though." He says placing his hand on my cheek.

"I did say only few are of worth. You, your brother and your father are the only humans I ever trusted." I say taking his hand.

"Now come on darling." I say happily to be with him again pulling him along.
