Month 1

Riley Matthews laid on her bed after countless hours of searching on an Internet friend account on Instagram, Riley decided to submit her own application. When your best friend moves across the country, you get pretty lonely. A half hour passed when her phone notifications went off. The brunette looked and saw that someone had responded to her application. Riley smiled and DMed the other girl.

Bunnyfarmer: Hey! I saw you wanted me to DM you soooo, hehe here I am :3

Destrcyedhopes: Hey, and yea. You seem pretty cool! I'm Maya by the way :)

Bunnyfarmer: Riley. So Maya, tell me about yourself?

Destrcyedhopes: Well, im from Ohio and I like drawing lol. I'm pretty lame

Bunnyfarmer: I doubt it. I bet your gorgeous :) And I live in NYC

Destrcyedhopes: Well ya got that wrong hon

Month 5

It'd been over five months since both girls became internet friends. Maya happened to be texting Riley all night. Maya's mother called Maya downstairs, so of course the blonde obeyed.

"Maya... I needed to tell you something very important." Maya looked at her mother and sighed, making a 'go on' motion.

"Baby girl, I found a job that has a better salary" With that, the blonde's eyes lit up.

"Mom, that's amazing! How close is it?"

"It's in New York City... We'll be moving in about three weeks" The location of their new home made Maya squeal.

"Holy shit!" Maya yelled excitedly as she sprinted into her room to text Riley.

Destrcyedhopes: HOLY SHIT!

Destrcyedhopes: OH MY FUCKING GOD

Bunnyfarmer: Peaches, chill, what's going on?

Destrcyedhopes: FT me! Now!

Bunnyfarmer: Ok, ok geez!

Riley had answered the FaceTime call, confusion clouding her eyes.

"Maya whats going-" Maya cut the brunette off, excitement getting the better of her.

"IM MOVING TO NEW YORK CITY IN THREE WEEKS! THREE FUCKING WEEKS RILES!" At this point, Riley was squealing on the other side of the screen.

"M-Maya... We're going to break the distance!" Riley shouted. From video sleepovers, to phone calls, the girls had been through a lot. They were finally going to break the distance.

Three Weeks Later

Riley jumped out of bed, her heart racing. Today, she was going to meet Maya at the airport.

"Mom! Dad! Auggie! Hurry up! We can't be late!" The brunette urged, as she came thundering into the living room.

"Honey, please calm down. Eat your breakfast." The brunette's mother, Topanga said calmly. Riley shook her head stubbornly.

"But Mayaaaa" She whined.

"Riley, listen to your mother." Her father Corey said firmly.

"Fine..." Riley muttered as she shoved a spoonful of cereal in her mouth. The teen wolfed down her breakfast within a wopping 2 minutes.

"Ok, now Maya time! Maya Maya Maya!" Riley chanted as she rallied the rest of the Matthews clan out of the apartment and into the car. The airport  wasn't that far away, and wouldn't take too long. Yet to Riley, it seemed like countless hours.

Once the Matthews family reached the airport, Riley shot out of the car with the rest of her family running after her. Topanga had a camera hanging from her neck and Corey with his phone recording their daughter. They got inside and Riley anxiously waited by the loading port for her blonde friend. The brunette's eyes lit up as she saw a flash of blonde hair through the crowd.

"MAYA!" Riley yelled as she ran towards the short blonde. Maya's head whipped her head towards the sound of her name. Katy closely followed behind her daughter as Maya ran towards the brunette with open arms. Both girls practically tackled eachother with giggles and tears of joy.

After 5 months of talking, secret telling, FaceTime sleepovers, they'd finally seen eachother in the flesh.

Maya cupped Riley's cheeks and whiped the brunette's tears.

"It's really you..." The blonde stated. Riley then hugged the shorter girl tightly and burried her head an the crook of Maya's neck.

"It really is."
