Omkara sat in the living room of the house he just knocked. Bhavya sat opposite to him while Anika and Gauri sat diagonal.

Anika took a deep breathe as she spoke. "What brings you here Om?" Anika asked and Omkara strained himself for a lie while Gauri looked amused at the monosyllabic name Anika used.

"I- I just dropped to ask something" He said mentally having a panic attack. "I didn't knew this was your home" He continued and Anika nodded her head.

Bhavya watched her ex-boss or rather best friend fumbling with words. Something that happened when he lied. But she chose to keep quiet.

"Shivaay never told that you live here" Omkara said in an attempt to divert the topic. "He doesn't know" Anika said with a smile.

"Okay guys. How do you both know each other?" Bhavya asked on reaching the peak of curiosity.

"Same question" Anika said. "He was my boss at Chennai. He closed his gallery last year and I guess he's now concentrating on business" Bhavya said and Omkara nodded his head.

"How do you know him Ani?" Gauri asked and Anika smiled. "He's Shivaay's brother" She replied and Gauri's eyes bulged out of its sockets.

Her sister was in love with Omkara Singh Oberoi's brother. Shivaay bhaiyya was Omkara's brother! SSO! And her sister doesn't know that he's an Oberoi! Gauri was thoughts were having a rollercoaster ride.

"How do you know him Gauri?" Anika asked and Gauri sat there not knowing what to say.

Anika didn't hate the Oberois. But she respected the family traditions a lot. So if something happens in contradiction, she may not accept it.

"What's between you and Gauri?" Omkara asked Anika as he saw Gauri's hesitation. In the past two years, he was able to know her better. If this mysterious lady was not there, Omkara was sure he wouldn't have suppressed his romantic feelings for her.

"She's my sister" Anika said and Omkara smiled while his thoughts wandered in different directions.

So Gauri was the lovely girl Shivaay talks about. But Gauri rarely spoke about her family with him. Omkara's thoughts were broken when Bhavya spoke.

"You wanted to ask something?" She asked. "Do you know where the nearest petrol pump is?" He had framed the most convincing lie.

Anika and Bhavya waved him bye as he left. Gauri went to her room and rummaged through her belongings for something she hid.

"Gauri" She turned as she heard Anika. "Are you upset?" She asked and Gauri shook her head with a smile.

"We'll convince Papa somehow. Don't worry. He won't do something that hurts you or me" She said as both of them sat down.

"What is the reason for this rivalry?" Gauri asked. Everyone knew they were rivals but no one knew why! "I don't know. But when a talk regarding Oberois come up, Papa just remains silent" Anika said.

"Ani, do you hate the Oberois?" Gauri slowly asked and Anika smiled. "Why would I hate them? It's between the elders Gauri. Why should we hate them just because our family has some problem?" Anika asked chuckling and Gauri smiled.

"And, the youngest Oberoi is my friend" Anika said with a cheeky smile. Gauri stood gaping. She was stuck with one Oberoi and was worried while her sister didn't even have an idea that she was stuck with two!

"Rudra Singh Oberoi is your friend?" She asked and Anika nodded. "Since the last 3 years" she added.

"Ani, do you know who Omkara is?" Gauri asked and Anika looked confused. "Shivaay's brother" she said and Gauri gave a nervous smile.

"You had asked me how I know him" Gauri said and Anika nodded, confused. Slowly, realisation struck her and her eyes widened.

"Please don't say that he's your Omkara Singh Oberoi" Anika said in dread and Gauri nodded her head.

"He is Omkara Singh Oberoi. And his brother, Shivaay Singh Oberoi is your boyfriend" Gauri said and it took a few minutes for Anika to process everything.

"Why are we both so fond of complications?" Anika finally asked with a chuckle.

"But isn't it great? We both will be in the same house" Gauri said with an excited smile.

"Ahha! You haven't confessed it darling" Anika said with an expression of pity while Gauri smirked.

"Well, I've already planned a romantic one" she said and went to her cupboard to take the thing she was searching before.

"Where is it!" She muttered in frustration. "What are you looking for?" Anika asked. "A letter" Gauri said and Anika narrowed her eyes trying to remember something.

"Did you write on both sides of the cover?" Anika asked and Gauri nodded.

"Gauri, will you be angry if I say that I posted it" Anika said and Gauri turned in shock.

"Please, you didn't post it na?" Gauri asked hoping for a favourable answer and Anika nervously laughed.

"The letter must've reached its destination by now" She said and Gauri sat on the bed with a thud.

Omkara walked into his room with a tinge of disappointment. He was confused. The address belonged to Anika. Bhavya was there, Gauri was there.

He once again checked the address. If it was Bhavya, then the address would be of Meerut.

"Gauri!" He whispered to himself in shock and surprise. It was her! She'd been sending him letters since the last 8 years! But how does she know him? They met 2 years back only.

His mind was trying to solve the maze while his heart just had a beautiful realisation.

He never really suppressed his romantic feelings for Gauri. Even if the mysterious lady was someone else, he would've proposed Gauri.

He loved her but as always he chose to be an idiot for 2 years. He grinned and walked to Shivaay's room to inform him the beautiful piece of information.
