"I've always loved you" (sequel to I'm sorry Gauri)
Gauri looked at Omkara with watery eyes. She scanned the whole room. Her paintings, their paintings. Moments even she didn't remember were picturized beautifully. More tears threatened to spill as her eyes reached the last painting. His imagination. She was in red and he was in black. She was standing and he kneeling. When did these thoughts cross his mind? "Omkaraji" she called again breaking his reverie.
Few hours back >>>
Gauri walked aimlessly on the road. How could he say like that! She felt helpless. She had freed him from this unwanted relation. Yet, there was a heavy pang of pain in her heart. Even now, her heartbeats mumble his name. Why? Why was it so hard! With all these thoughts running in her mind, she didn't realize that a car has been following her all the while.
Shivaay walked into the room with creases on his forehead. "What happened Shivaay?" Anika asked sensing the worry. "Anika, are we right?" Shivaay expressed with a frown and Anika sighed. "Shivaay, we know how much Om loves Gauri. And Om means the world to her. I've seen her yearning for his love Shivaay. Otherwise, I wouldn't have asked you to bring her back" Anika said and Shivaay's lips rose to a small smile.
Shivaay had reached there right after Omkara left. He searched for them but there was no trace. That's when he noticed the paper shreds on the road. Not any paper, but a beautiful card. He tried joining them but some pieces were missing. He realized that something went wrong. When he went a little forward he saw Gauri. She was walking lifelessly. He stopped the car and ran behind her. "Gauri" she had immediately halted when he called her.
Gauri looked at Omkara as he mirrored her expressions. Despair filled each and every cell of her body. "He loves you Gauri. And I know you feel the same. He's scarred Gauri. Each time, the scars from the past prevents him from being your's. I'm not forcing you for anything. But if you've ever seen love in his eyes, please come with me" Shivaay Bhaiyya had said. Gauri had agreed to come back only because of the last sentence. The love she had seen in his eyes. Was it love? Or just a mere attraction? She needed answers. Making up her mind, she slowly approached him and sat beside him.
Omkara forgot to blink as she sat beside him. Their shaky breaths echoed in the room. "Ek aakhri sawal pooche aapse?" she asked breaking his trance. He nodded his head as his mind lingered on two words; "aakhri sawal". So she was going to leave. His heart sank at that thought. He lost all hopes as he waited for her to speak. "What role did I play in your life? Did I ever cross your thoughts?" she asked and he sighed.
"I don't know Gauri. I don't know what you mean to me. I just know that I love you. I've always loved you. It's just that it took long for me to realize it. I was scared to lose you. I was scared of being in the darkness again. You are the only one who keep crossing my thoughts. My world revolves around you Gauri. I'm lost without you" he said with pearls flowing down his cheeks. Gauri bit her lips to stop a sob. Will she be able to love him again? "I don't want to stay.." She slowly said and their eyes locked.
He was quick to plaster a small smile. His cheeks pained at the unwilling smile. She could see that. She wanted him to stop. She wanted to know if it was love or just guilt. "I won't stop you Gauri. I don't have that right" he said and her heart broke. So it was just guilt. He would free her because he is guilty. She looked at him with glassy eyes. "Can I ask a question?" he asked and she nodded her head.
"I love you Gauri. Will you stay if I ask you to? Can we start it afresh?" he asked expectantly. She looked on. How did she miss the undying love in those midnight black eyes! It wasn't love out of guilt. It was pure affection, admiration, adoration and many more. She slowly wrapped her hands around him and rested her head on his chest. She could hear his heart beats. He smiled in tears before engulfing her. They could hear their synchronized heartbeats. Joining their foreheads both of them looked into each other's eyes. They had a lot to talk. But this moment was to be cherished. After many months, both of them slept peacefully in each other's arms.
That was a wrap. My exams are approaching and I don't know whether I'd be able to update but I'll try.
