dadi: chup karo! first rule, my personal favourite. the 2 feet distance rule. om, gauri both of you are not allowed to be near each other before marriage nor can you meet each other unless it's a function. 

om: ok so that' the only rule. come on gauri.

dadi: i never said that there was only one rule!

om in mind: why couldn't there be?

dadi: rule number two is that i want your phones.

gauri without hestianting gives her phone but om being om and a jataderi hippy didn't.

dadi: om!

om: what? i didn't do anything.

jhanvi: tera phone?!

om in mind: is she my mother???

dadi: om, phone else i will make sure that you will not meet gauri after the marriage.

om quickly gave his phone to dadi and dadi gave them to shivay.

dadi: i know you love your brother and behna but you are not giving their phones to these two. 

shivay: ok dadi.

dadi: and the last rule is just for om. NO COMPLAINING DURING EVERY RITUAL!

om: no, you can't do this to me.

gauri: omkaraji, what dadi is saying is right. now deal with it.

om in mind: thanks gauri.

gauri in mind: ohoh meri nandi bel is getting angry. don't worry omkaraji, you won't be angry for long.

dadi: accha, so people whose side are you going on?

shivru: gauri's side!

anivya: om's side.

jhanvi: i'm going on my bahu's side.

tej: me too.

shakti: om's side.

that night:

gauri's room:

gauri was brushing her hair when she felt two pairs of strong hands wrapping around her waist very tightly. she felt kisses being left on her fair neck. she turned around seeing om looking so handsome in his kurta:

gauri: and we all knew that mr omkara singh oberoi would not even last a second without seeing me or romancing me!

om: arre yaar, don't spoil my mood na. 

gauri: if dadi finds out....

om: she won't know. i have hidden many things from her since i was a kid. 

voice: nice to know.

rikara turned to see jhanvi. om lets go of gauri's waist and both blushes.

jhanvi: got to know soemthing about om's childhood.

she pulls his ear and om gave a little scream.

jhanvi: om, what were the rules?

om: sorry mum. don't tell dadi.

jhanvi: i won't.

she lets go of his ear but makes him go with her letting gauri to get ready. soon she was ready and went downstairs with anivya slowly and slowly. om was downstairs with shivru and saw gauri. he was memorized by her beauty:

he wanted to go near her and kiss her but shivru grabbed his hands each and gave him a 'don't even think about it' look. haw bechara omki! 

shivay: remember she is mine and rudy's little sister. don't romance her when we are around!

rudy: exactly o!

om: why am i getting threatened?!

shivomru laugh and soon the engagement started.

rikara were brought to the middle where it was the most beautiful decorated part of the entire house. the lights were not as bright as gauri according to om and the flowers only bloomed when gauri was there.

om was told to put the ring on gauri first. anika gave him the ring and om carefully held gauri's left hand and placed the ring on her ring finger:

om's pov:

gauri, i know that for a long time, all i have gaven you for pain which felt like i was feeding you poison or stabbing you with a knife. i promise that from now on, all you will ever be given is love and i promise to never misunderstand you. i will be by your side forever.

no one's pov:

om was made to let go of gauri's hand once the ring was put on her. now it was gauri's turn. rudy gave her the ring and gauri held om's left hand. she carefully put the ring on om's ring finger:

gauri's pov:

i always thought i was no one to you omkaraji but now i know that you love me and you will never leave me alone. in the same way, i will never leave you and i will be your secret keeper. any trouble,  just share it with me and we will face it together.

no one's pov:

all clapped and flower petals from the ceiling showered the couple:

later on:

gauri was outside in the dark. her hair flying in the wind. she was staring at the moon, tears rolling down her cheeks. just then she felt someone coming near her. she got scared and turned to see om. he went beside her and wiped her tears. 

om: what happened? why are you crying?

gauri: nothing.

om: it must be something. jaan, just tell me. 

gauri: meri mama aur papa never got married. i am an illegitimate child. on the day of their wedding, papa was murdered by someone who i don't know. i was 8 then. when i was 14, my mama died in a planned car accident. i only had one dream and that was to see my parents marry but that dream never got fulfilled. after mama's death, meri choti bhai went missing. 

om: choti bhai?

gauri: yes, choti bhai. i miss him so much.

om: and i will find him for you.

gauri smiles and kisses his cheek.

om: anything else you want to tell me?

gauri: when i was little, mama would always imagine my wedding. once papa died, she made me promise that i would marry to someone who would take care of me my entire life. and her wish has been fulfilled.

she hugs om tight and om hugs her back. he kisses her forehead and thinks: i will find your choti bhai gauri. i promise.
