This is the story brief I wrote for wattpad readers when I posted a story of mine which was a continuation from a scene. Hope this helps you...

Omkara Singh Oberoi is an artist, living with his parents, Tej-Jhanvi, younger brother Rudra, younger sister Priyanka, his cousin brother Shivaay, his wife Anika, Shivaay's parents Pinky & Shakti, and their daadi.

Om is close to Shivaay and Rudra, they share a strong bond. Shivaay has joined family business while Rudra is still studying. Om never joined family business, much to the displeasure of his father, and is an artist and is a self-made millionaire.

Omkara hates lies and always speaks the truth. He mostly talks in shayari about love and pain. He is more grounded than his brothers, who travels by local train, autos and dresses very casually.

Om has been against his father since long, because of Tej's philandering ways. Tej even flaunts his mistress cum secretary openly, causing Jhanvi to become an alcoholic, and always trying to pit him against Shivaay. He calls his father, Mr. Oberoi

Om was in a long-distant relation with Ridhima, who was majorly into charity works. Though, it was all for publicity and she was with Om for his name.

Om doesn't believe in marriage, and has commitment issues.

At that time, a con girl, Ishana enters his life. At first, she (wearing a burkha) cons Rudra while Om is with him, into buying an already stolen car. Rudra and Om ends up getting arrested.

Ishana plans to marry Om for his wealth. Om becomes friends with Ishana and believes all her lies about her troubled life. Ishana starts to have genuine feelings for Om but the financial mess her family is in, forces her to continue conning him. Ishana realizes that Om has a girlfriend, and she appears in front of Ridhima as Bella and create misunderstandings between Om and Ridhima.

The problems get more bigger, and Om shares his problems with Shivaay and Rudra. Who point out that neither has Om seen Bella and Ridhima seen Ishana, and Om has never seen Bella and Ishana at the same time. They grow suspicious, and Rudra follows Ishana and finds out that she is the same girl who had conned them earlier.

Omkara confronts Ishana, and they fight and argue. Ishana calls Om a hypocrite and that he is exactly like his father. That Ridhima is all show and not genuine. And Shivaay is a ruthless businessman who would do anything for profit, and Rudra a playboy who breaks girl's heart left, right and center. Om is furious at her and asks her to never come in front of him again.

This drives Omkara towards Ridhima more and asks her to move in with him. He had been living with Ridhima when they were in UK.

When Shivaay's stock rises, Tej tries to transfer stock in Om's name. But Om refuses to sign the papers as he wants Shivaay to go ahead of him. Tej teams up with Ridhima. When Tej brings another set of papers to Om saying it is for charity, Om asks Ridhima to read it. She gets Om to sign the papers saying she has read the papers. When Om finds out that he had signed the business papers, he burns it and breaks up with Ridhima.

Tej fixes Om's marriage with a girl he has never met for business gains. Om opposes this. Meanwhile, Svetlana creates a fake accident of Tej and saves Tej risking her life. Tej brings her home to recuperate. She creates misunderstandings between Tej and Jhanvi. Tej demands divorce from Jhanvi. Jhanvi tries to commit suicide by immolating herself. Om is shattered by this. Tej declares that he is going to marry Svetlana. But Om gets engaged to Svetlana instead, striking a deal with her that he would give her 100 crores to leave his father. Svetlana threatens him that if Om fails to pay her, then she would go back to Tej.

Even though Shivaay offers to give Om the money, Om tells him that it is his new life and he wants to earn the money. Shivaay tells him about this land that he was trying to buy from Kali Takur. Om leaves to buy the land at any cost.

Om reaches Bareilly, and meets Kaali Takur. Kaali Takur agrees to sell the land to Om, and Om makes the payment and demands all the shops to be removed from the land. There he overhears Kaali Takur's conversation with his wife, Jhanvi about Kaali Takur marrying another girl and Jhanvi begging him not to. Om is reminded of his mother because of the same name and same situation.

Later, Om meets Gauri Kumari Sharma who has a shop in the land, and she is waiting to meet a customer to take an order, so she can use the money for her mother's treatment. When she doesn't vacate the shop, Om drives his car into her shop and destroy it. Gauri drives a bull dozer and destroy his car in revenge.

It is revealed that the girl Kaali wants to marry is Gauri. The money Om gave Kaali, he uses that to buy Gauri from her uncle and aunt. He threatens to kill Gauri's mother if she doesn't go with him. Gauri is forced to go with him. He puts gold chain on her legs. On the way back to his place, Om sees Gauri in Kaali Takur's jeep.

Later, Kaali Takur's wife lits herself on fire in front of Om saying her husband brought her sauten home. Om tries to save her but she dies.

Om visits Kaali Takur's house for the documents and KT tells him to stay there till his wedding and he would give him the documents. Om ends up staying there, and he sees Gauri there. He starts seeing Svetlana in Gauri due to his misunderstandings. Om has many run ins with Gauri and his misunderstanding keeps increasing.

On the day of wedding, Om leaves Kaali Takur's house. Gauri finds out that Kaali Takur wants her to marry his brothers along with him. Gauri finally manages to escape. She meets Om in the train, and accidentally pushes him off the train and they get trapped in the forest. Om gets shot by a poisonous dart and he faints. Gauri with great difficulty saves his life. By that time, Kaali Takur's men catches up with them, and Om leaves Gauri while Kaali Takur's men take Gauri.

Police comes to arrest Kaali Takur for his wife's suicide, he makes it like Gauri had tried to seduce him and his wife misunderstood him. he makes the villagers believe that Gauri was responsible for his wife's death. The villagers decide to stone her to death. Gauri who is a staunch believer of Shankarji prays to him to save her life. Om ends up coming there again. When he tries to save Gauri and tell the villagers that they should let law takes it course, they refuse and asks him to step aside as the matter is not of his concern.

Om marries Gauri and declares that Gauri is his wife and now the matter is his personal problem. Once the villagers leave, Om asks Gauri to go, as the marriage was just a drama. He leaves Gauri behind and goes. Gauri, believing that Shankarji had respected her belief in him and had sent Omkara to save her. She accepts Om asks her husband and vows to remain loyal to him, whether he is with her or not.

Om comes back to Oberoi Mansion. Om, Shivaay and Rudra are trying to expose Svetlana while Svetlana has Om sign a pre-nup which states all of his property will go to his wife after marriage, and if he doesn't marry Svetlana then his property would go to her.

Since, Gauri's mother is sick and weak, Gauri decides not to tell her the truth about her marriage and that Om left her. So, she tells her mother that she is going to Mumbai with her husband and goes to Mumbai to get a job for her mother's treatment. In Mumbai, Gauri meets Svetlana and finds out that Svetlana needs a male servant. Gauri dresses up like a boy named Chulbul and reaches Oberoi Mansion.

There she ends up saving Jhanvi, and Om has Svetlana appoint her. Svetlana gives Gauri 3 months advance salary, and Chulbul's only job is to follow her fianc, and report to Svetlana everything. Gauri realizes that Om is the fianc and tries to leave the job, but since she took the salary and used it for her mother's treatment, she is not able to leave.

Svetlana gets Chulbul to stay in Om's room so Chulbul can spy on him. Slowly, Om and Chulbul becomes friends, as Chulbul always ends up saving Jhanvi from Tej and helping Om. Chulbul realizes that Svetlana is not a nice person and decides to save her husband from her.

Chulbul saves Omkara's life and Omkara tells Chulbul that he is his best friend, and for life long he would honor that relation.

Jhanvi and Omkara's Bua finds out that Chulbul is a girl and Om's wife. After testing her, they accept her as his wife.

Kaali Takur is Tej's new business associate. He has come to find Gauri. He starts threatening Om, Om still not aware that Gauri is Chulbul, tells him that he has no idea where Gauri is. When Om's and his family's life is in danger because of Kaali Takur and Tej, Gauri reveals herself to Kaali Takur.

KT kidnaps Gauri and takes her to Bareilly. Om goes to save Chulbul. Gauri is forced to act in cohorts with KT, as KT has kidnapped Bua Ma. Om's misunderstandings and hatred for Gauri grows. Finally, Gauri is able to escape KT's house with Om in Chulbul's attire. But KT catches up with them, and Om finds out Gauri and CHulbul are the same. When Gauri tries to explain to him why she did what she did and why she didn't tell him that she was Chulbul, because to save Bua Ma's life. KT refutes saying he didn't kidnap Bua Ma, and Om leaves Gauri there and comes back home.

There he decides to get married to Svetlana because of prenup and he was unable to expose her. Even though Jhanvi and Bua Ma try to explain to Om that Gauri is innocent, he doesn't believe them. Jhanvi goes through the prenup and informs him that Svetlana hadn't mentioned her name in the prenup, finding a loop hole. Meanwhile, KT tries to marry Gauri again, but Gauri stabs him and escapes from there.

Om brings Gauri home saying that he would take care of her mother's treatment while Gauri posed as his wife to throw out Svetlana. But Svetlana blackmails Om with intimate photos of her with Tej. Om is forced to let Svetlana stay there and Om is forced to let Gauri stay there as his wife so Svetlana doesn't grow suspicious. Gauri, Om, Jhanvi and Bua try their best to expose Svetlana, and finally exposes her and gets her arrested.

Om asks Gauri to leave. But Shivaay finds out about Om and Gauri's marriage, and brings her back home. Om assumes that Gauri had told Shivaay about their marriage to remain in his house. he keeps asking Gauri to leave his house, accusing her of being characterless and being a gold digger, and he tells her that he doesn't accept their marriage. Though, Gauri tries to leave, she ends up staying there due to something or the other.

Rest of the story

A lawyer comes to Oberoi Mansion saying that Svetlana has filed a case against Om saying that he is faking his relation with Gauri, and they are not really married. Gauri stays back in OM to prove them wrong. Om starts seeing Gauri in new light and they become friendly again.

Gauri finds out that the lawyer was not sent by Svetlana but by Bua Ma. Bua Ma who blames Om for her son's death, wants to take her revenge. When Om was a kid, he falls into the pool and Bua Ma's son Ratan jumps in to save him, but he dies. So, Bua Ma blames Om for it, as she believes that death had come for Om and took Ratan instead. Her plan is to take Om's baby and kill him after that. Bua Ma drugs Om's drink to bring him close to Gauri. Though, Om in "nasha" try to consummate the relation, Gauri pushes him away.

Gauri tries to expose Bua Ma by telling her that she is infertile, Bua Ma tries to kill Gauri, so she can get Om married again. Om misunderstands that Gauri is trying to kill Bua Ma, and runs to save her. He trips and falls down, going to a coma for 3 months.

Gauri to stay back in the house and protect Om, lies that she is pregnant. Once Om wakes up, he at first doesn't believe her but then later believes her and starts taking care of her. Gauri feels guilty for betraying him but tries her best to bring into his attention Bua Ma's obsession with the baby and the baby being a boy.

When Bua Ma finds out Gauri is not pregnant she tries to kill Gauri, but Om comes and saves her, as he had grown suspicious of Bua Ma. After Bua Ma is sent to mental asylum when Gauri starts to leave, Om asks her to stay back as he wants to get to know the real Gauri. He is conflicted between the Bareilly Gauri and this Gauri.

Gauri and Om start their awkward relation. When Om has no inspiration to paint again, Gauri becomes his inspiration and he paints again.
