Eunseok - Meet by Fate

We meet each other by accident. Mate by Destiny. but it doesn't matter, because we love each other, and that's all we need.

Y/n pov

I'm going back home through the forest. My house is located outside the city, on the other side of the forest, so that's why I'm in the forest. I just got back from my friend's party. It's very late, so it's very dark outside. There are only the moon and stars shone in the sky, and they gave me some light that helped me see the road ahead.

Some people say that there are vampires in this forest, but I never believe them, because every time I cross the forest, there is nothing and I am safe. Also vampires don't exist at all, because no one has seen them, so I just don't believe them.

Today seems to be no different from other days. I went through the forest and there was nothing. But when I was still a little far away from home, I heard a sound. After thinking for a while, I grabbed the knife that I carried for self defense and went to the place where the noise was to check on it.

When I walked to the place where the sound came from, I saw a shape that looked like a person lying next to a tree. When I approached that person, the moon appeared outside the clouds and poured out some light, so I could see the man well. From what I saw, his condition was not good. Blood gushed out of a wound in his body. It soaked his shirt, also there was blood on his face. And he is weak.

After thinking for a while, I decided to take him back to my house and help him to treat the injury. I took him back to my house and put him in the guest room. I cleaned and treated his wound, changed his blood soaked clothes, and then cleaned his face with water and towel. After clearing all the blood, I could finally take a good look at him, he looks white, pale and handsome. I took a blanket and put it on him, and turned off the light, then I walked out of the door and closed it carefully.

When I woke up, I found myself no longer in the forest, and I could not remember how I had ended up in this strange place. After looking around, I realized that I was lying on a bed in a room, and when I examined my wounds, I found that they had all been cleaned and bandaged. Also, my bloody clothes were replaced with clean ones.

When I was still thinking about who saved me and brought me here, the bedroom door was opened and a girl came in.

Y/n pov

I walked into the guest room and found that he was awake. He was staring at me. Good morning," I said. "Good morning," he replied. "How's your rest?" I asked. "I feel much better. Thank you." He answered. We stayed there silently for a while, and then he thanked me for helping him and letting him stay here. I said it was nothing. I'm glad that he feels much better now. And then I decided to talk to him.

Y/n:What is your name?

???: Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Eunseok.
Y/n: Nice to meet you Eunseok, my name is Y/n by the way.

Eunseok: It's a pleasure to meet you too.

Y/n: May I ask what are you doing in the forest? And what happened to you?

Eunseok: I have work in the forest, and yesterday I got into a fight with my enemy, they were trying to attack me, and I fight back with all my strength and it was hard to get rid of them, so I fought back and I got injured.

Y/n: I am glad that you are feeling better now. Do you think that they will come back?

Eunseok: I don't think so.

Y/n: Okay, also if you need, you can stay here until you are fully recover.

Eunseok: I think I will stay for a while if you don't mind.

Y/n: Of course not, you can stay here as long as you want.

Eunseok: Thank you.

Then I told him breakfast was ready and he decided to come with me. So we go downstairs to the kitchen, I serve the breakfast, and then we start eating.

After breakfast, I took him through the house and let him know where everything was. Then I asked him if he wanted to buy some new clothes with me, because I didn't have other clothes for him to wear. He agreed, so I took him to the mall to buy some clothes for him and some groceries.

We went to several different stores, found some clothes suitable for him, then we bought some groceries, and then we went back home.

I put the new clothes in the washing machine and put the groceries away. After that, I could finally have a rest, so I went to the living room and saw Eunseok sitting there, and I also sat down. We sat there for a few minutes, and then I asked him if he wanted to watch a movie. He said he could do it. So I chose an interesting movie to watch, and then I made popcorn and brought some candy to the living room. We watched the movie and ate popcorn. After the movie, we were all tired, so we went to take a nap. When we woke up, it's already dark outside, so we eat dinner, took a shower, and then went to bed.

Few months later

Eunseok has been living with me for a while now, and after he recovered, he asked me if he can stay with me since he has no where to go. And I agreed, so he stayed with me, and I let him use the guest room.

And over time, Eunseok became a part of my life. At first, it was strange having someone around, but his calm presence was comforting. He helped with chores, kept me company, and even started fixing small things around the house. He was surprisingly good at fixing things, almost too good. Sometimes, I caught him staring out the window for long periods, lost in thought, and I wondered if he was hiding something.

One night, as we sat in the living room after dinner, I decided to ask him more about himself. There was something mysterious about him, and the more time I spent with him, the more curious I became.

Y/n: Hey, Eunseok.

I said, breaking the comfortable silence.

Y/n: Can I ask you something?

He glanced at me, his pale face illuminated by the soft glow of the lamp.

Eunseok: Of course.

He replied me with a smile.

Y/n: Why do you seem... different? I mean, you're kind and all, but sometimes I feel like there's something that you're hiding away from me.

For a moment, he hesitated. His eyes, which always seemed darker than they should, locked onto mine. Then he sighed.

Eunseok: Y/n, there are things about me that might be hard to believe.

He said carefully.

Eunseok: I don't want to scare you or make you regret for helping me.

And my heart pounded at his words.

Y/n: You can tell me. I won't judge you."

He leaned back, running a hand through his dark hair.

Eunseok: You've probably heard the rumors about this forest, haven't you? About vampires?"

I blinked and startled a little bit.

Y/n: Yeah... but I never believed in them.

Eunseok: Maybe you should have.

His voice was barely above a whisper, but the weight of his words hit me like a thunderclap. "Y/n: Why should I be?

Eunseok: Y/n, it is because I am actually one of them, I am a vampire.

I stared at him, waiting for him to laugh and tell me he was joking, but he didn't. His expression remained serious, almost sad.

Y/n: You are a Vampire? You mean you drink blood and—

Eunseok: And live for centuries, avoid sunlight, and heal faster than humans? Yes I do.

He finished my sentence, and his gaze was steady.

And for a moment, I didn't know what to say. The logical part of me wanted to laugh it off and call him crazy, but deep down, I felt like he was telling the truth. It explained so much, his pale complexion, his strange injuries, and why he never seemed to eat much.

Y/n: So... the night I found you in the forest...

I started.

Eunseok: I was attacked by another vampire.

He admitted.

Eunseok: We're not all the same. Some of us try to coexist peacefully, but others...

His voice trailed off, and his jaw tightened.

Eunseok: They're strong and dangerous.

For a moment, the room was silent except for the sound of the clock ticking. Then I spoke.

Y/n: Why are you telling me this now?

I asked.

Eunseok: Because I trust you.

He said simply, with a calm tone.

Eunseok: And because I don't want to keep secrets from you anymore. You've been done nothing but kind to me, and you deserve the truth.

I didn't know what to say. Part of me was terrified, but another part of me felt... intrigued. Eunseok wasn't like the monsters I'd read about in stories. He was gentle and kind, and despite his confession, I couldn't bring myself to fear him.

Y/n: Okay.

I said finally.

Y/n: I believe you.

And his eyes widened slightly.

Eunseok: You do?

And I nodded.

Y/n: Yeah. And... I'm glad you told me. I mean, it's a lot to take in, but you haven't given me any reason not to trust you.

Hearing this, he smiled, and for the first time since I'd met him, I saw a hint of relief in his expression.

Eunseok: Thank you.

He said softly with a genuine smile.

Eunseok: That means more to me than you know.

From that moment on, our relationship changed. Knowing his secret made me more protective of him, and I found myself wanting to learn more about his world. Eunseok, in turn, became more open with me, sharing stories of his past and teaching me about the hidden world of vampires.

But as much as I enjoyed his company, I couldn't shake the feeling that danger was lurking nearby. If there were other vampires in the forest, would they come looking for him? And if they did, would I be ready to face them?

Little did I know, the answers to those questions would come sooner than I expected.

A few days later, my intuition became reality. That night, as I was getting ready for bed, I heard strange sounds outside the window, like something moving quickly through the forest. My heartbeat quickened, and I immediately thought of what Eunseok had said before: They're dangerous.

I went downstairs to find Eunseok, only to see him already standing by the door, his expression tense. His eyes glowed faintly red, and his entire demeanor was colder and more dangerous than usual.

Eunseok: They're here.

He said in a low voice, and his tone firm.

Y/n: Who?

I asked, my voice was trembling.

Eunseok: The vampires that I have told you about before.

He said, looking out the window.

Eunseok: They're here for me.

My mind was racing. The dangerous vampires he mentioned before were real? I didn't know what to do, frozen with fear and uncertainty.

Eunseok: Listen to me, Y/n.

Eunseok turned toward me, his gaze locking onto mine.

Eunseok: You must stay here. No matter what happens, don't come outside. Do you understand?"

And I shook my head.

Y/n: No, I can't just let you face them alone.

Eunseok: This isn't something you can get involved in.

He said firmly, and his hands are gripping tightly on my shoulders.

Eunseok: They're after me. I won't let you get hurt because of me.

Before I could argue further, a low growl echoed from outside, cutting through the silence of the night and our conversations. And Eunseok's expression darkened even more. He took a step toward the door, but I grabbed his arm, forcing him to look at me.

Y/n: If they're that dangerous, why would you face them alone?

I whispered, my voice shaking.

Y/n: We can figure something out—

Eunseok: There's no time.

He gently pulled his arm free from my grasp.

Eunseok: Y/n, thank you for saving me. If tonight is my last fight, I'll never forget your kindness.

With those words, he stepped outside. And I stood there, get torn apart between fear and determination. I knew he was trying to protect me, but how could I just stand there and let him face this danger alone?

Eunseok pov

The cold night air stung my skin, and the moonlight filtered through the trees, casting fragmented shadows on the ground. Three familiar figures emerged from the darkness, their faces twisted into cruel smiles.

"Eunseok," one of them sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. "We thought you were dead. But it seems you've been hiding here all along."

"I've told you before—I don't want anything to do with your plans," I said coldly. "Leave this place. Don't harm any innocent people."

"Innocent?" another vampire chuckled darkly. "Do you think we care? Betrayers don't get happy endings, Eunseok. You should know that."

Their eyes glinted with bloodlust, and I knew there was no room for negotiation. A fight was inevitable.

They lunged at me, and my body reacted instinctively. Their claws slashed through the air as I dodged, using all my strength to kick one of them into a nearby tree. He hit it with a thud but quickly recovered, snarling as he charged at me again.

In the chaos, I heard a sound behind me. I turned to see Y/n standing in the doorway, clutching the knife I'd seen her carry before.

"Y/n! I told you to stay inside!" I shouted.

"I can't just let you face them alone!" she called back, her voice filled with defiance and unwavering determination.

Seeing Eunseok fight alone against three vampires made my heart ache. I knew I might not be much help, but I couldn't just stand there and do nothing. He had risked everything to protect me, and I couldn't let him bear all of this alone.

I charged at one of the vampires, plunging the knife into his shoulder with all my strength. He let out an enraged snarl and turned to attack me, but Eunseok was there in an instant, shielding me and throwing the vampire backward.

Eunseok: Are you insane?!

He growled, breathing heavily.

Eunseok: You're going to get yourself killed!

"So what?!" I shouted back, meeting his gaze fiercely. "If we don't fight together, you'll get hurt, or even worse!"

He froze for a moment, his expression softening as he took in my words.

Eunseok: You're so stubborn.

He muttered, shaking his head.

In the end, we fought side by side and managed to drive the vampires away. They retreated into the shadows with furious screams and threats, leaving Eunseok collapsed on the ground, his body battered and bruised. And I knelt beside him, tears streaming down my face.

Y/n: Are you okay? Are you hurt?

He gave me a weak smile.

Eunseok: I'm fine, it just a few scratches. You were amazing, Y/n. Thank you.

I helped him back to the house and treated his wounds. That night, we didn't speak much. We just sat together in silence, our bond stronger than ever. And I knew then that my life would never be the same again.

A Few Days Later

The danger in the forest still lingered, but something deeper was changing between me and Eunseok. One night, as we sat by the window under the moonlight, I finally mustered the courage to ask the question that had been weighing on my mind.

Y/n: Eunseok.

I began softly

Y/n: Why are you so kind to me? Why do you risk your life to protect me?"

He was quiet for a moment, his eyes searching mine.

Eunseok: Y/n, it's not just gratitude that makes me protect you. Since you saved me, I've felt a connection to you, a bond I can't ignore. Among vampires, we call it a 'mate' or a soul bond. And you're my destined partner.

Y/n: Destined partner?

I repeated, being both shocked and confused.

"Yes," he said gently. "A soulmate. Vampires only have one soulmate in their whole life, and for me, that person is you."

My heart raced at his words. Deep down, I realized I felt the same. Since the moment he entered my life, everything had changed. I couldn't imagine a future without him.

"Eunseok," I whispered, "I think I've felt it too. I don't know how to explain it, but I can't imagine my life without you in it."

A soft smile spread across his face, and he reached out to brush his fingers against my cheek. Then he leaned in and give me a soft kiss.

Eunseok: I'll always protect you, Y/n. No matter what.

And from that day on, we become a couple.

Few months later

One day, Eunseok approached me with a serious expression. "There's something I need to ask you," he said. "If you want to truly stand by my side, there's a way, but it's not an easy decision."

I knew what he was implying. Become a person like him. A vampire.

"If I do this," I asked, "I'll give up my human life, won't I?"

"Yes," he said. "But you'll gain strength, and we'll have eternity together. You'll never be vulnerable again."

So I thought about it for days, weighing everything. And in the end, my heart knows and gives me the answer.

And on a moonlit night, we stood in the forest. "Are you ready?" Eunseok asked, his eyes full of concern.

"I'm ready." I said. "I trust you."

And he stepped closer to me, and his movements gentle.

Eunseok: This will hurt, but I'll make it quick.

I closed my eyes as his breath brushed my neck. A sharp pain followed, then is the warmth, a power unlike anything I'd ever felt. My body changed, my senses heightened, and when I opened my eyes, the world was sharper and brighter than ever before.

"Welcome to my world, my love" Eunseok said, and smiling at me.

Epilogue

Months later, we stood together as equals, watching the forest under the moonlight. My senses were sharper than ever, I could hear the rustling of leaves miles away, smell the faint scent of dew on the air, and feel the quiet hum of the life around us. The night no longer held fear for me; it was home. And beside me stood Eunseok, the one who had given me not only this new life but also his heart.

Since my transformation, we had become inseparable. Eunseok trained me in the ways of my new existence, teaching me how to control my heightened senses, resist the hunger for blood, and protect myself from danger. He was patient, understanding, and always by my side.

The forest, once filled with fear and uncertainty, had become a place of safety and belonging. Together, we protected it, ensuring that no other vampires would disturb the peace or harm the innocent. We had also found a purpose in this life, one that we shared.

As we sat together on the edge of a cliff overlooking the forest, Eunseok turned to me, his eyes filled with an emotion so deep it made my chest ache.

"I never thought I'd find someone like you," he said quietly. "I lived for centuries, believing that I was destined to be alone. But my love... you changed everything."

And I reached out, taking his hand in mine. "You saved me just as much as I saved you. You showed me a world I never knew existed. And now, I can't imagine a life without you."

He smiled, his expression softening. "You're not just my mate, Y/n. You're my everything."

As the stars sparkled above us, I leaned into him, resting my head on his shoulder. The night was peaceful, and the future was bright.
