It was uncanny that for the following days after the event you kept on holding the handkerchief again and again in your hand. It was even more uncanny that the more you held it suprisely the more femailer it felt.

It felt soft and slightly worn from the texture, it was certain that this handkerchief was well taken care of for a long time but it still had to wore out and become much more softer than usual ones.To top it of the handkerchief had an old designe which was you were quite sure was only ever present during Damons and your childhood.

At the moment Damon was out of the car to retrieve his laptop as you were left behind in the car waiting patiently for him since it would only take a quick moment but right now without Damons soothing safe presence,your mind wondered with the speed of light mainly about the handkerchief present in your hands and where Damon and you were about to head too.

How funny it was as you could tell that you were being paranoid but even if you knew it you still didn't stop it rather you embraced it fully knowing that you were being paranoid because why not? It was quite rare for you to feel like this.
Than there was this feeling in your gut, this intuition that something is about to happen, something very bad but you did not know what it was.The feeling could be described in so many ways that it was hard that's why you choose for the current moment that your gut was feeling somewhat of an upcoming doom.

" I'm back now let's go" Damon said as he got into the driver's seat after placing his laptop bag in the back seat.

"Hm Y/n?" Damon asked more laid back than usual probably because he was taling abreak from work today atleast for the afternoon he was.
His eyes gazed at you with confusion and worry, his hand closing in your calming clutched one.

You were claiming down at the moment as Damon held you hand causing you to calm down more easily. When Damon suddenly entered out of no where into the car so swiftly you almost jumped out of your seat with shock after hearing the door open and close.

"That scared me, you came in out of no where "You tried to redeem yourself giving a sheepish smile.

Damon seemed amused as he loosened his hold on your hand instead opting to use it to start the car.
The ends of his lips were slightly turned upwards. "Oh"

Feeling Sheepish you opted to stare out the window instead letting silence fall over as the car drove.

"To go back there after so long I wondere if you are alright or prepared." Daamon commented eyes glancing down at your figure keenly, observing as you stopped running your finger over  the handkerchief  fr a slight second.

"No I am not alright but if you will be there than I will be " You trailed off cheekily causing even your fiance, Damon to blush slightly at the tips of his ear.

" that looked femailer " Damon said as he parked the car and was about to go out stopping half way while opening the door and staring st the one in your hands.

"It does?" You ask with confusion.

"Yes, reminds me of the way we first meet and the way we drifted apart for the first tome.He said it rather with guilt causing you to laugh , nodding along with him.

Getting out the car Damon closed it,leaving towards the rear view side than opening it for you as he held his hang with the engagement ring towards you with love.
