I wear modern dresses!

Society says 'are you not shy?'

I want to pursue higher studies!
So what?
Society says 'who would cook after marriage?'

I want to do a job!
So what?
Again....and A.g.a.i.n
Society says 'will your husband sit at home?'

I want freedom!
So what?
Society says 'you wear jeans and want freedom? What if something bad happens?'

But I say,

So what?
So what if you wear jeans or a short dress?
What's the guarantee if you wear churidars....society gonna leave you?

Society is not gonna leave you if you wear decent clothing!

Society says 'You are a girl, you have to bow down your head!'
Society says 'You are a girl, you shouldn't get attention from outer world!'

I say,
So what?
So what? what if I raise my head?
So what? what if I bow my head down?
Is there any guarantee that they're not gonna notice me? Harm me?

If I stay between four walls,
Is there any guarantee that I'll be safe there?
If I wear decent clothes,
Is there any guarantee that I'll be safe?
What's the guarantee the guy who's gonna marry me is good?

Are women are heartless dolls?
Do women don't have any goals?
Do women don't have any feelings?

What will you get?
What will they get?

What women can do? Whether they are a housewife or a job holder?
Whether they are 8 or 18?
Whether they are decently dressed or not?

What's the guarantee that you are safe?
What's the guarantee that you are protected?

But I say,

We are, women somewhat feel safe, protected,
Only,
when they are able to stand on their own feet!
when they are able to pursue their dreams!
When they are self-confident!
When they are able to fight their FEARS!
When they are able to fight for their rights!

But if women should be secured completely, what should be changed?

The illogical thoughts on women,
The mindset for women to be a doll!
The mindset for women to be a fragile human!
The mindset for women to be a 'bow down her head closed between four walls etc!'
