Cole explained his way of containment for the supernatural threats he faced. For the monsters that wouldn't stay down, or just the people who made the deal and sold their souls... For the people he couldn't or wouldn't destroy he brought elsewhere.  He couldn't just leave them for the cops. 

Some people thought he was killing them out, or working with them. You pressed Cole for answers about what he was really doing with them. He took you to a place displaying jewelry everywhere. And introduced you to a stoic woman in charge of the operation.

He explained that with her magic and diamonds they had their own prison. These beings weren't  just inside  the hardest substance on earth but another realm unable to escape.This was the  Crystal Menagerie, prison and rehabilitation center for the supernatural foes of the Rogue Sun for generations.  

The second part being a latter addition. 

Cole knew it was basically locking them away and  throwing away the key. But there were  cases where they could eventually take the powers from people, or change them for the better. He came up with the idea of  therapy sessions and other activities for those inside. Trying to emulate the counseling he went through himself and befriend some of them. He wanted to stay involved.

Some of the prisoners were only known by reputation, monsters or supernatural folk that were missing for years. Thought to be slayed but merely contained. Clans, covens, and packs still angry wanting answers. And now you can confirm who was alive. 

You were imprisoned by one of the Rogue Suns, you lost track of how long you were there. But in an instant you were released, and you saw him in his armor. Clearly someone else who wasn't prepared but had your enemy's mantle.

Cole decided to visit you.

Cole refused to hand over the individual until he was sure they were powerless. People were curious about what he did when they were in his custody. 

Cole made an agreement to release one of the prisoners for your cooperation, but refused to let you see where exactly. You tried to follow and he pinned you against the wall. 

" She works on getting rid of these  powers, but sometimes they take decades if it's possible. But when there's a cure, we use it on them." 

Cole put you in an isolated corner of the realm, with anything else around you. 

"Prison world's been one way to describe this place..." 

" That wing is just filled with hybrids....not as scary as I thought they'd be." 

" This isn't Arkham, the Phantom Zone any of those.. It's the best of those  prison worlds.." 

"It's like guidance counseling..." He tried to be your friend despite your fight and your anger asking questions. 

"This is work release. I let you out, you help me and attend the session and we can get you out."

"I trust this more than whatever facility your thinking about. "

" I'm not the warden, not the guard. Just here.."

"We have plenty to take about.....for your rehabilitation." He sat on the chair looking at you up and down." We can begin whenever you want it to."

"They sold their soul, we can keep some of them for the rest of their lives... But maybe there can be a release. "

"Just listen to me and just maybe we can get you out of here one day.... If I know that your better than this. "

"I told you there's a place we can leave them. "

"Any gem in this room contains one of them.. "

"Makes you want to stay away from jewelry stores... I get it. "

"They can escape...if they've been here long enough.  Some of them have been around for hundreds of years..."
