"Absolutely not" Magnus said. "Is it possible Magnus tell me can it be done yes or no" Clary asked. "Clary do you have any idea what you're asking" Kelsey asked.

"Yes, Kels I do but I need to know yes or no" Clary said.

"Sure, there are warlocks who've done this sort of a thing but what you're talking about is dark, dark magic it's wildly unpredictable" Magnus said.

"Have you ever done it before" Simon asked. "No and don't encourage this" Magnus told him.

"She was my mom if you were me if we were talking about your mom" Clary said. "Clary don't" Kelsey said warning her.

"I wouldn't bring her back" Magnus said. "I don't understand" Clary said. "Dad, you don't have to" Kelsey told him.

"I know but it's okay" Magnus told Kelsey. "I was nine years old when my mother realized what my cat eyes meant she couldn't live with the fact that she bore the son of a demon, so she took her life with this very keris" Magnus said.

"It was a long time ago and over time it got easier never easy but easier your mother was a special woman she only wanted to protect you at all costs so much so that she had me remove your memories since we can't get those back" Magnus said and used his magic as they all saw him holding a picture.

"Take one of mine" Magnus said and gave Clary the picture. "Oh my god" Clary said as she looked at it. "When was this" Clary asked.

"The day I met you the first thing I notice is that you both share the same laugh" Magnus said causing Clary to smile.

"Losing your mom it's not something you make better with magic you just head straight into it and cry your eyes out" Magnus said and Clary left with Simon as Kelsey sighed.

"Why isn't Alec here" Izzy asked. "He needs some space" Jace said.

"We face a new threat Valentine has the mortal cup and now possesses the soup sword two of the three mortal instruments our mission now is to find out what he plans to do with them and when" Victor said.

"Jace you okay" Kelsey asked him. "I'm fine" Jace told her. "But apparently no one else is judging by the way they're all looking at me" Jace said.

"Jace I'm sorry for letting them take you to the city of bones I thought" Izzy said and Jace interrupted her.

"It's all good Izzy you saved Alec's life and mine I would've done the same thing" Jace said.

"As would I" Kelsey told Jace and Izzy. "Tomorrow night's rite of passage will bring the total number of dead to 26 fallen silent brothers and three Shadowhunters take this time to grieve and plan for what lies ahead your orders will follow" Victor said.

"Your shoulder still hurts huh" Jace asked Izzy causing Kelsey to look at Izzy.

"A little stiff uh don't worry about me keep an eye on Clary" Izzy said and left. "If you hear from Alec let me know" Kelsey told Jace and left.

"You worried about Alec" Izzy asked as she and Kelsey were training.

"Yeah, he's taking this really hard he still thinks it's fault, no matter how many times I tell him it isn't I think he thinks she blames him or something" Kelsey said.

"Are you sure you should be training considering your shoulder" Kelsey asked.

"I'm fine" Izzy told her. "And Kels you know how Alec is maybe just, give him some time Jace did say he needed space he'll come to you when he's ready we all know if you ever died, he'd absolutely lose it" Izzy said.

Kelsey walked into her room closing the door behind her. When she turned around, she stopped in her tracks when she saw Alec.

She slowly approached him and sat down next to him. "You okay" Kelsey asked him.

"No" Alec told her as Kelsey sighed. "Is there somewhere else we can go I can barely be in here without" Alec said and Kelsey interrupted.

"Follow me" Kelsey said and got up offering her hand. Alec gave her his hand and they left with Kelsey leading them.

"What is this place" Alec asked once they approached their destination.

"It's where I usually go for full moons when I think I'm going to lose control or when I need to think like recently had to do after finding out I am an experiment" Kelsey said.

"No one should bother us here" Kelsey said and sat on the blanket that was laid out on the glass.

"Is this yours" Alec asked seeing the blanket. "Yeah, I sometimes slept out here" Kelsey said and Alec nodded before sitting next to her.

Kelsey then noticed Alec wasn't using his healing tube as she looked at him. "Too busy to use the healing rune" Kelsey asked. "I'm fine" Alec said.

"Alec don't lie to me you're not fine you're hurting badly I know you and you hope the pain here will overpower the pain there" Kelsey said as she demonstrated.

"But I do wish it were that simple if it helps" Kelsey said. "I let a demon in Kels" Alec said.

"That wasn't your fault I've told you that dozens of times" Kelsey said. "I don't know what to say to Clary I can't face her" Alec said.

"You will in time because it's what you do Alec it may take a minute but I know you will eventually get there Alec I was at your wedding even when I thought I wasn't going to go cause I thought I couldn't go through with it watching you marry someone else but I did and I know you'll blow up the ground you stand on to make something right" Kelsey said.

"Stay with me for a while please" Alec said and Kelsey nodded. Alec moved closer to Kelsey putting his arm around her and Kelsey leaned into him.

Alec knocked on Clary's door before walking in with Kelsey. "You can do this Alec just talk" Kelsey said.

"Hey" Alec said to Clary. "Look I uh" he said, and Clary stopped him. "Please don't" Clary said.

"Clary I am so sorry I would do anything I mean anything to take back those 30 seconds to get your mom back" Alec said. "Alec maybe we can get her back" Clary said.

"What" Alec said. "I found a warlock who claims she can do it" Clary said and stood up.

"But there are risks" she said. "This again did you not hear what my dad said you don't bring someone back from the dead" Kelsey said.

"I'll go with you" Alec told Clary and Kelsey shook her head throwing her hands up in the air in surrender. "I give up" Kelsey said.

"Clary if there's any chance that we can get your mother back we have to take it no matter what happens I'll be there" Alec said. "Okay let's do it" Clary said.

"Well, I'm not letting the either of you go without me I'm still against this but since I can't talk you out of it well the least, I can do is make sure neither of you die right" Kelsey said.

Alec knocked on the door and they waited for the warlock to answer.

"If this, backfires don't say I didn't warn you" Kelsey told Clary. "Are you here to see Dr Rouse" a woman asked as she answered the door.

"Yes, um I, I think she's expecting me my name's Clary" Clary said. "I was indeed expecting you I only wondered when" Iris said.

"And I see you brought guests" Iris said as she saw Kelsey and Alec. "Your formed and your boyfriend" Iris asked. "Uh no" Kelsey said. "No" Alec said the same time as Clary.

"Well, whatever you two are leave your weapons outside any warlock worth a dang can see through shadowhunter glamour with ease" Iris said to Alec. "Miracles as well" Iris said to Kelsey.

"Oh, don't worry it'll be safe in the alcove" Iris said and they walked in. Alec and Kelsey then took their weapons off of them putting it down.

"Did you bring your mothers" Iris asked. Clary. "Uh her hair yes" Clary said. "Perfect nurse Leigh will help you with the paperwork" Iris said.

"Paperwork" Alec asked. "Yeah, just a simple pin prick to draw blood for the oath for the favor we talked about" Iris said. "Favor, you say" Kelsey said glaring at Clary.

"Well, I, I don't know about any favor neither does my girlfriend here" Alec said and motioned to Kelsey as he said girlfriend.

"Oh, that was the deal we made" Iris said. "It's fine Alec, I wanna do this" Clary said.

"Delightful follow me your friend and sister can wait here for you in the waiting room" Iris said.

"As if" Kelsey said. "No, we're not leaving her side" Alec said. "Oh, then I can't do this their energy is too turbulent I need calm" Iris said.

"And he is not calm" Iris said motioning to Alec. "And she well looks like she can pounce at me at any minute" Iris said motioning to Kelsey.

"Okay I'm gonna need to see some credentials show me your warlock mark" Alec said. "Slowly" Kelsey added. "Dear if a lady had concealed her mark assume it's for a good reason" Iris said.

"Alec, Kels it's okay I'll be fine really" Clary said. "Fine" Kelsey said as Clary left with Iris and Alec took a seat.

"Come here" Alec said and sat Kelsey on his lap. Alec looked over and saw a little girl causing Kelsey to look as well. "Hello" Alec said to her.

"It's a nice place" Alec said to the little girl. "Where are all your toys" Kelsey asked her and she pointed. Alec noticed the Gil's on her as she did.

"Cool gills" Alec said. They then heard a baby crying as the young girl left.

Kelsey got off of Alec's lap following the sound as Alec followed her. They saw the baby and looked at each other before looking back at the baby whose eyes flashed back for a split moment.

Alec and Kelsey went to the door and Alec knocked lightly. Nurse Leigh came out quietly shutting the door behind her.

"Shh there's babies sleeping" Leigh said. "We're looking for Clary" Alec said. "Who" she asked.

"We came here with her you met her" Alec said. "Where is she" Kelsey asked. Leigh motioned for them to follow her and they. They walked into the room only to see Iris and Clary not there.

"Where is she" Alec asked. "You have about five seconds to tell us what you have done with my sister" Kelsey said to Leigh.

"Talk to us" Alec said. "I don't wanna get Iris in trouble" Leigh said.

"Nobody's gonna get in trouble I promise" Alec said. "That baby was it yours" Kelsey asked and Leigh nodded. "One of them I think" Leigh said.

"You think" Kelsey said confused. "She takes our memories I just remember little bits at a time" Leigh said. "Wait there's, there's more of you" Alec asked.

"The women come and go the babies are placed in homes where they're cared for nurtured" Leigh said.

"Please try to remember, where did she take Clary" Alec asked. "Please she's my sister" Kelsey said.

Once Alec and Kelsey saw Iris, they went to her and Alec pinned her to the wall. "Where is Clary" Alec asked. "I suggest you take your hands off me young man" Iris said.

"And I suggest you tell us what you, done with my sister" Kelsey said and then Iris used her magic on Alec.

Kelsey's eyes glowed and for a moment Iris looked scared. Just as Kelsey was about to turn a little girl came out stopping them. "Nana, nana no" she said.

"Oh, hi honeybun" Iris said to her going to her. "Why don't you go back inside and don't worry I'm just playing with them" Iris said.

"Playtime's over" Izzy said bringing out her whip. Izzy used her whip, and Iris used her powers on her.

"I would help you, but I don't have my dagger, and I have a soft spot for kids don't want to scare her with my wolf form" Kelsey told Izzy as she went to her helping her up.

Iris picked up the girl as Izzy used her whip on Iris. "Put the girl down" Izzy said.

"Her name is Madzie and she's better off with me than left to fend for herself in this cruel world" Itis said and made a portal.

"You can save the redhead, but she still owes me the favor" Iris said.

Kelsey and Izzy went to stop her, but she already went through the portal. Izzy and Kelsey then went to Alec seeing him still on the ground. "Alec you okay" Izzy asked Alec as he slightly got up.

"We have to find Clary" Alec said. "Come on" Kelsey said helping Alec up and they rushed off to find Clary.

Once they finally found Clary, they saw Jace with her. "There you are" Alec said to Clary. "Are you okay" Izzy asked Clary. "Yeah, I'm fine" Clary said.

"Another day another funeral, poor Clary" Kelsey said to herself. Alec looked at her and rubbed her shoulder and kissed her forehead.

"Here we go" Kelsey said once she saw Clary. "Jace help her" Kelsey said seeing Clary hesitating.

"I don't know what to say to her and right now she needs you not me" Kelsey said and Jace went to Clary. "Kels be with your sister she needs you both" Alec said.

"Alec, I don't know what to" Kelsey said and Alec interrupted. "Don't say anything just be with her" Alec said and Kelsey nodded as she made her way to Clary.

"You ready" Kelsey asked and Clary shook her head.

"I know just do what Jace said and if you need to cry, I have a shoulder if that helps, I'm not good at these things" Kelsey said and Clary nodded.

Kelsey and Jace then walked down with Clary. "Those remaining will take their place with the fallen" Victor said as Jace and Clary reached their place.

"Those remaining will say the names of the fallen" Victor said. "Brother Micah" brother Enoch said.

"Pulvis et umbra sumus" everyone said. "Brother Jeremiah" brother Issac said.

"For we are dust and shadows" everyone said. "Jocelyn" Clary said as her voice cracked.

"Mom" Clary said crying and Kelsey pulled Clary to her allowing her to cry on her chest. "Jocelyn Fairchild" Jace said seeing Clary couldn't. "Ave atque vale hail and farewell" everyone said.

Jace, Clary, and Kelsey then went to Alec and Izzy watching the ceremony.
