"It's not working" Izzy told Magnus as he was using his magic on Alec to try to help him as Kelsey stayed close by Alec holding his hand worried about him.

"I'm sorry Isabella parabatai bonds are like a tether that binds two souls Jace and Alec share emotions, instincts, strength it's an angelic bond my magic can only do so much" Magnus said.

"So Jace is like this too" Izzy asked as she looked at Kelsey worried about her as she has yet to say anything.

"Not necessarily it appears that when Alec called out to him part of his soul never returned, now he's stuck lost somewhere between himself and his parabatai" Magnus said and tried to use his magic again.

"But if Jace brought back that missing piece of his soul" Izzy said.

"We may very well have the cure whatever we do we need to do it quickly" Magnus said.

"I hate seeing her like this" Magnus said referring to Kelsey. "Stay with Alec I'll go find Jace" Izzy said.

"Kels you wanna come" Izzy asked and Kelsey shook her head as she refused to leave Alec's side. "Okay" Izzy said and left to go find Jace.

"Oh, great Clary's safe we can all go home now" Magnus said. "Whoa wait Magnus" Jocelyn said stopping Magnus from shutting the door. "How's Alec is he gonna be okay" Jocelyn asked.

"Do you remember the first thing I said to you when you brought a freighted six-year-old girl to my door" Magnus asked Jocelyn.

"You didn't wanna get involved in Shadowhunter business especially with how they treated Kelsey" Jocelyn said.

"And I should've stuck to my guns I shouldn't have brought Kelsey here, but I wanted her to embrace who she is and I let you convince me about Clary" Magnus said to Jocelyn.

"How many years of memory wipes was it" Magnus asked. "12" Jocelyn said.

"Look I owe you let me help with Alec" Jocelyn said.

"I think you've done enough because of you my little girl is by her boyfriend's side rescuing to leave him refusing to speak or even eat" Magnus said.

"I was only trying to find" Jocelyn said and Magnus interrupted.

"You were only trying to do what you always do manipulate people into helping fix problems that you created and now Alex is paying the price for it" Magnus said. "That's not true" Jocelyn said.

"Them prove me wrong" Magnus said and went back to Kelsey and Alec using his magic to close the door.

The door opened and Magnus looked seeing Izzy and Clary.

"Has Kels been in there with Alec the whole time" Clary asked. "And her dad he's the only reason Alec still has a chance, but his magic can't last forever" Izzy said.

"Has Kelsey moved even once" Clary asked looking at Kelsey before looking at Izzy who shook her head. "She refuses to" Izzy said.

"Sooner or later he's gonna burn out" Izzy said referring to Magnus. Izzy's phone rang and she quickly answered it. "Hello" Izzy said. "Izzy it's me" Jace said. "Jace are you okay" Izzy asked.

"I'm a little soggy but I'll live look is Cary" Jace said, and Izzy interrupted.

"She's here she's safe" Izzy said and gave the phone to Clary. "Jace it's me we need to get you to Alec" Clary said.

"What do you mean why" Jace asked. "He tried tracking you with his parabatai rune but now it's like he's stuck in some kind of nightmare and can't wake up he was looking for you so you're the only one who can help him" Clary said.

"Okay I'll get there" Jace said. "But you can't the clave still wants you dead" Clary said. 

"Yeah, well who doesn't they can get in line besides I'm not letting Kelsey lose Alec" Jace said, and Izzy took the phone back.

"Meet us at Magnus's we'll figure out how to get Alec there" Izzy said. "Okay I'll get there as soon as I can" Jace said and hung up.

"Best team, best team" Alec said Ann's Magnus looked. "Alec, can you hear me" Kelsey asked as Magnus looked at his daughter sadly.

"It's gonna be okay hey it's gonna be okay we're gonna get you out of here okay and bring you back you'll be back before you know it" Kelsey said and Victor walked in.

"You put in a request to transfer your brother to Idris" Victor said to Izzy. "My parents put in the request" Izzy said.

"Alec isn't leaving this institute I'm sure Kelsey's warlock dad can figure something out here" Victor said.

"This isn't walking sleeping beauty with a kiss if it was, I would have had my daughter kiss the man she loves tonic power is deep it requires power that can't be accessed in the walls of this institute" Magnus said.

"I don't know what you're up to and ultimately I don't care but as far as I'm concerned your brother is too weak to be portaled" Victor said.

"You're just using Alec as bait to arrest Jace" Izzy said.

"No im working to capture the fugitive who put Alec in this position I have allowed this warlock into the institute for the sole purpose of treating your brother" Victor told Izzy.

"Although you don't seem to be doing too good a job of it" Victor told Magnus.

"I'm placing Raj by the door so not try this again" Victor said and left. "I'm just under orders" Raj said.

"Shut up Raj" Izzy said and Magnus tried to use his magic on Alec again.

"No, it's too late I" Alec said. "Alec" Kelsey said. Magnus then knocked an item down from the table.

"You know you're gonna have to clean that up" Raj said as Kelsey had to bite her tongue from saying anything.

"I feel you man, but I have direct orders if you can't help him then you need to go" Raj said.

"My magic is the only thing helping Alec from completely slipping away I won't leave" Magnus said.

"I know you're old but I didn't realize you were hard of hearing he's clearly not waking up any time soon so you can leave now, or I can remove you myself" Raj said and Kelsey looked at Raj glowing her eyes as Raj looked at her frightened and Magnus choked him with her magic.

"Munchin no worries I got it" Magnus told Kelsey and she looked back at Alec after returning her eyes back to normal. "I'm sorry I don't like being rushed" Magnus said and threw him across the room and Izzy rushed in.

"Magnus, stop we need to get Alec out of here, but this isn't helping" Izzy said.

"Alec, Alec, you can't leave me okay you can't" Kelsey said as tears fell shaking her head and Magnus couldn't do anything but watch.

"Alec, I love you; you can't leave me please come back to me please I beg" Kelsey said.

"Kelsey kiss him just give it a try" Magnus said. "Okay" Kelsey said wipping her tears and kissed Alec on the lips.

She pulled away and looked at Alec and sighed seeing it didn't work.

"He can't last much longer" Magnus said. "Alec" Jace said as he walked in.

Jace then made his way to Kelsey and Alec after getting what he needed from Magnus.

"Hey Kels I know you don't want to move but let me try he'll come to okay I promise" Jace said as Kelsey nodded and went to Magnus but still kept an eye on Alec.

Jace sat in front of Alec and held his hand using the parabatai bond. "Entreat me not to leave thee or to return from following after thee" Jace said, and Alec gasped.

"What's happening" Izzy asked. "He's slipping" Magnus said. "No" Clary said worried.

"Thy people will be my people thy god will be my god when thou diest I will die and there will I be buried the angel do so to me" Jace said.

"No" Kelsey said seeing it wasn't working about to fall to her knees and Magnus caught her as he held her rocking her back and forth as she cried.

Jace held Alec close to him as he hugged him. "And more also if aught but death part thee and me" Jace said crying. "Please don't leave me Alec" Jace said as he cried.

"If aught but death part thee and me" Alec said causing Kelsey to stop crying and she looked at Alec.

Jace then laid Alec down seeing his eyes were open. Alec and Jace then hugged once more.

"Jace Wayland" Victor said walking in as Jace and Alec pulled away from the hug.

"You are hereby sentenced to the city of bones to await trial for the charge of high treason and aiding Valentine in the war against the clave" Victor said.

"Wait what, what's going on" Alec asked. "It's alright Alec all that matters is that you're back" Jace told Alec and left with Victor and the guards.
