EXTENDED SUMMARY
If there was one think that Zoe Parshall was sure about, it was that life always seemed a hell of a lot easier when there wasn't anybody to drag her down. This included her good-for-nothing parents who spent most of their time arguing or drinking to even acknowledge her existence, this included the bitches at her school who used to be her friends until tits suddenly appeared on their chest and they all became, well, bitches. So, by the summer of 1989, before her 8th grade year, she had absolutely no friends and planned to keep it that way. At least until after she graduates and manages to escape this hell hole of town.

But just because she didn't have friends, doesn't mean that people didn't know who she was. Like, for example, Richie Tozier, who Zoe saw every couple of days at the arcade trying to beat his own score at Ms. Pac-Man. "Fuck you, you fucking twat!" were the first words she had ever heard come out of his mouth. Ever since then, Zoe truly understood why people called him Richie "Trashmouth" Tozier. And, after beating his high score at the simple arcade game only after two tries, they were unofficial rivals. Neither of them minded though, because whenever they saw each other, they kept each other on their toes. Which is where you always wanted to be when in an arcade, the likes of with both of them took very serious.

But Zoe could never have predicted her relationship (barely one, at that, and it mostly consisted of insults at each other's mothers and other various immature comebacks) with Trashmouth would get in her involved with a gang of clown-fighting losers who called themselves just that. And though she promised herself to stay away from as many people as she could, there was just something about fighting for her life and the entire town that really brought her together with these people.

Which included Stanley Uris, a curly haired Jewish boy who couldn't seem to take his eyes off of her.

NOTES
- Ok so Zoe is basically the 13 year old version of Eleanor Shellstrop from The Good Place

- and Stan is like Chidi where he's all nerdy and cute and also anxious all the time

- the book should start out with Zoe and Richie meeting in the arcade one day (before the last day of school) and Zoe joins the loser's club via Richie

- she and Richie are always arguing and bickering. They both always have a comeback so this could go on forever, and it always annoys all of the other losers

- Zoe has a fear of intimacy from her parents rough marraige (she's always got her guard up) so for her pennywise encounter maybe do something that has to do with her mom and dad

- you can also incorporate a fear of something more simple like spiders or some shit with this to make the encounter even mORe frightening
