Ivy Weir was odd. But Stanley Uris liked odd.
The girl spent more time with her nose buried in the margins of her notebook than talking to people, and lived in a small house overgrown with weeds by the sewer system.
She floated around the school, never quite fitting in and instead sitting at a table for one during lunch. And to the students of Derry Middle, she was an enigma.
But when the blonde visits the synagogue in hopes of talking to the Rabi, and instead finds his panicked son being chased by a woman from a painting, she's quickly swept into the world of the supernatural that had been hiding right under her nose.

NOTES
— ivy is very misunderstood in the community ( they call her "weirdo weir" )

— she's not a badass, and doesn't find strength in fighting. instead, she rationalizes the whole situation and motivates everyone else to be strong

— she joins the losers club when they go to the drug store & she finds them in the alley ( she's only friendly with the losers club on the last day of school, but she's not close enough to be friends yet )

— stan is constantly trying to convince the losers to let her into the group after he runs into at the church bc he's smitten tbh ( she calms him down after the incident even tho she doesn't really know what happened )

— she only gets snappy with richie when he makes provocative jokes abt women bc ivy is all about girl power ( we love a feminist )

— give her favorite books and have her try to make sense of IT with plots & ideas from various books*
