Ash's POV

I washed the beer off my face and took off my shirt, then looked in the mirror. My dirty blonde hair was still stuck together and sticky but I really couldn't be bothered to have a shower, I'd do it in the morning. Rianna was gone, and I couln't be bothered to go back to that party and see Jasmine make up with her stupid boyfriend then slow dance until he kissed her and they went up to bed together .

I shuddered and took my phone out of my jeans pocket, pressing speed dial one and putting it against my ear.

'Hello' said Skye as I walked into the dark room.

'Hey, it's Ash I replied.

'Yeah, what's up? You stuck somewhere or something?'

'No. I'm just in my room.'

'So your calling me when you could just walk downstairs and say hey personally.'

'Rianna threw beer all over me so my hair's gone all gross and I really don't want to party with a headache' I replied.

'Rianna? Shit the one with the red hair.'

'Let me guess you slept with her.'

'Everything but mate, sorry.'

'She doesn't mean anything' I said 'that's not what I called you to say.

'Alright, what was it then?' he asked.

'I think you were right.'

'I know' Skye replied 'about what?'

'Loving Jasmine. I think I still love her.'

'Shit.'

'Yeah' I agreed, staring at the darkness.

'That's deep man' he said 'do you want me to come and hug you or something?'

'Stop being a dickhead' I replied.

'So you love her then.'

'Yes.'

'Why all of a sudden?' he asked.

'I think I've loved her since she broke up with me' I replied.

'Lame.'

'Yeah it is. Especially since she's dating that piece of shit Jason who doesn't love her and keeps lying to her about stuff.'

'Like what?'

'I don't know. He's a jerk off generally and is screwing her up completely.'

Skye laughed 'feel like spreading a rumor?'

Nerina's POV

Natalie handed me a bottle of clear liquid, I stared down at it.

'Go on, drink it' she said.

'What is it'?' I asked.

'It's like, this special vodka almost. My dad brings it out at parties and I nicked a whole stash last time I was home it's really good it gives you a buzz without a hangover' she unscrewed the top and drank some. 'Good shit' she giggled, thrusting it into my hands. I lifted it to my lips and drank, a burning sensation hitting the back of my throat and making my eyes water. I wiped my mouth before I threw up.

'Good shit' I agreed.

'What were you talking to Skye about?' she asked.

'Fuck Skye' I hissed, swallowing the rest of the bottle. Natalie's eyes widened and she grinned.

'Fuck guys' she replied, chucking the bottle at a tree where it smashed and she giggled.

'Natalie, who did you sleep with?' I asked.

'Not telling' she replied.

'Why not?' I demanded, hearing my words slur.

'Because' she hiccupped 'because it's a little- it's a little complicated. Hey look at those guys.'

She grabbed my arm and we ran across the dark field towards the school where a group of guys I didn't recognize standing by the fountain.

'Hey guys' yelled Natalie, waving her arms while I ran after her, almost falling over. That drink had really gone to my head leaving behind a really good buzz.

One of the guys turned round, kind of cute with white blonde hair. I preferred dark. 'Natalie' he said, then his eyes rested on me 'and the other Cassidy.'

'The better Cassidy' I said, slurring the s's and making Natalie laugh.

'Sure' he said.

'What are we having?' asked Natalie, bursting through the circle and returning with two half empty bottles of gin, one of which she handed to me. 'Enjoy' she said, then proceeded to wrap her arms around the guy and make out with him. Only pausing to take more swigs of gin then back to face sucking. I shook my head and made my way past them and into the crowd of very drunk guys behind.

'Nerina Cassidy, right?' said one of them who I recognized from my English class.

'Pretty much' I said, taking a swig from my gin.

'No fucking way' said another.

'Hey didn't you have a threesome with like, Skye Hall and Silkie?' asked one of them.

'Nope.'

'It was Blake Van Dere, you idiot' said the first guy.

'It was neither, or Skye' I said firmly, my head was starting to swim but I shook the feeling off quickly.

'I love your dress' said the guy next to me. I looked up at him, my vision blurred and wrapped my arms around him, feeling his lips touch mine. I felt my heart race as he pulled me down onto the side of the fountain and kissed me harder.

'Alright, she'll still be here tomorrow' said Natalie, taking something out her pocket. She saw me watching and offered me a small white pill 'want one?'

'Sure' I said, taking it and putting it in my mouth, following Natalie and scooping up some fountain water to swallow it down with. And suddenly everything was such more exciting. I sat down next to the guy and started kissing him again, feeling his hands slide to my waist as he suddenly pushed too hard and we fell backwards into the fountain. The water was icy cold so I broke the surface and screamed at the sudden surprise. The guy laughed.

'Calm down Nerina' he said.

I shook my head for no reason and stood up, almost seeing figures running across the field. Natalie jumped in after me and splashed the water all over me until I smiled and turned back to the guy who brushed a wet hair out of my face and kissed my lips again, more gently.

'Jesus Christ Nerina, what's wrong?'

I pulled myself out of the guys grip and looked at Dino, staring at me in surprise.

'Nerina-' he said.

'Dino' I said, laughing 'come in. It's fun, but really cold.'

He looked scared, I didn't understand. 'What the fuck Nerina? Have you gone completely mental? Of course I'm not coming in, you're really, really drunk.'

'It's fun' I insisted.

'Nerina' said the guy, taking at my arm and I looked back up to him again, he kissed me again. It felt so good, better than ever before. Better than I could have imagined. Then everything started spinning, and I pulled away, meaning to throw up but instead everything went black.

Dino's POV

The water splashed up into my face as Nerina fell, and I felt my heart skip a beat.

'Nerina' I yelled, running to help her but that guy had already lifted her out of the water and was saying her name, stroking her hair out of her eyes. 'Who the fuck are you?' I asked.

'Who the fuck are you?' he replied, shaking her 'she's fine.'

'No thanks to you' I climbed into the fountain and knelt down into the freezing water next to Nerina. She was breathing, her purple lips moved but I wasn't sure if she was conscious or not. I lifted her up like a ragdoll, she weighed next to nothing.

'Where the yell are you taking her' demanded Natalie, who's crop was going see through in the wet.

'You fucking whore' exploded Blake 'what the fuck have you done to Nerina?'

'Nothing she didn't do to herself' she replied.

Blake screamed something at her that I could barely hear and climbed into the fountain herself, garbing handfuls of wet hair. I walked Nerina up the steps and into the hall. Her hair was plastered to her head and she was shivering. I kissed he lightly on the closed eyelids.

'Please be fine Nerina' I said.

Her eyelids flickered and I heard her whisper something, I leaned in closer and unmistakably heard Dino. Then I smiled.
